Some of the best ganja i n i ever sampled (in Amsterdam) came from Greenhouse Centrum... It's just that we choose to go smoke (in Ricks) across the road... you can't grow and sell atmosphere.... :wink:

I would love to meet Nevill. I grew Nevils Haze in the early 90's and the smell was un fucking real. Super silver haze today smells nothing like it. I grew it outdoor and it smelled like gum or candy. I remember reading about the Cannabis castle etc. I remember he bred with Ruderalis before ANYONE had even heard about it. Maybe he'll get back in the game and spark a new round of intense breeding. I remember the first herb I smoked years ago-big Mexican Sativas and the first Indica hit south Florida and it had the classic Indica look. Then I went to California in the early 80's and began seeing different hybrids trickling out of Nor Cal. Then Nevills stuff started popping up in the early 90's and it looked DIFFERENT. Herb today looks very, very different than it did twenty or even ten years ago thanks to Nevill and others. Also, it flowers much faster with his use of Ruderalis and Indica crosses. Even fruity Sativas are much quicker to bloom than their equatorial predecessors.
We owe him a lot. I'd like to buy his seeds.

I take it I'm not the only one who finds that there's something magical about amsterdam. :smile: I can't quite put my finger on it...but it's such a great place to be.

oh yes, there is some thing incredibly cool about a place that is so tolerant of cannabis sale and use. there is some thing magical indeed about walking into a coffee shop and checking out the different strains of weed on offer, all in the open. then to be able to sit down and order a coffee to enjoy with your joint is the hight of civilization. i mean in all honesty, what fucking harm does it do? none is the answer, in fact a lot of positive things are achieved by the dutch way of treating cannabis use. it's mainly greed by the people in power, that's stopping the dutch way from spreading out. it's ridiculous to tell adults that they can smoke tobacco and drink alcohol, but they can't smoke cannabis?! the least harmful of them all. in fact it's highly barbaric to punish and lock people up for some thing that has no victim, no loser.

honestly bro....for me, it's not even completely about the herb situation. I mean, it is very nice to be able not to have to hide from society because of my choice to use marijuana, but amsterdam has so much culture. So much beauty packed into such a small area.
Everywhere you turn is a picture-esque view. I could picture myself living in the dam.
