For those wanting to do a Hydroponic system. Stick around. I've got a system already planned out. Looking at a top feed system just like this. No watering by hand. Just need to turn pots like Northern has stated. Looking at Coco also. I'll have a system up in Dec. Looking at some 1.5 gallon pots. Think they are the 7.5 x 7.5 square pots. Should be a cool system. Thanks for the Bug Northern Farmer. Love the thread and all the great ideas.
Take care,

I can't wait to see how it turns out.

I often contimplated trying a hydro drip system with square pipe.

For those who haven't seen the bags I use before, they are not round but rectangle.

Hey Northern,

It should be a good system and do well. I'm thinking about using the Square Pot - 7.5" x 7.5" x 8.75 (white) and build a tray lined with a pond lining material. Top feed some coco and rotate pots like you said. The square pots should be pretty stable, but the design i have for the trays. They won't be able to tip at all. This cutting out all the strings and eye hooks in the walls. I think i'll run some 1/2" pvp behide the pots along the wall and tap into them with 1/4" drip lines. Should do pretty well and yield nicely. Keeping the system simple and easy to maintain. Drip to waste, but i'll cycle the drip to the right amount before they start to leak out the bottom of them pots. Thinking running all 600HPS in the room. Don't know the magic number yet. The room size will tell me what i need for wattage. Thanks agin, for sharing your grow and thread with us. Man, I love the idea and the space saving. Thanks for the great idea.
Take care,

The pots seem a bit wide. You will have less plants than me but more surrounding space/light per.

If you are growing the plants larger than I do you may want to move down to 4 shelves.

*edit* Mmmm...post # 420. You know what that means....where's that lighter?

I was thinking the same thing also. I've already posted allot and didn't want to Super HiJack your thread. lololol. I try to keep plants around 24" if possible. Shave all lower branches and force main cola to produce. I'm thinking less plants per row and maybe 4 rows high. It all depends on the rooms I have to work with also. You know how that goes, but i'll post what i have once i buy a place. Should have something in Nov or maybe sooner.
Thanks,
BG

Edit: Killer. Pass that smoke this way. Happy 4:20 post.

You can buy pre-made both hydro and aeroponic stadium set ups.

I know 2 people who bought the aeroponic stadiums, one of them bought two. They did OK but the complications were not worth it and they dropped them. The one guy is using my system again.

Yeah, I have seen those aeroponic stadiums before. Those things gotta be way smaller than what you got going on though, right?

Those may be only 8' long, I can't remember but they look a lot smaller because there is no room built around the unit.

i meant that your bulbs are hanging freely in the growroom and that it might be a problem whilst using fans in the room.
this is the reason why i suggested to fix them to something who would make them unable to move.
It might not be needed. let me know

i dont think northern farmer needs advice... hes been doing these stadiums for 10+ yrs

I doubt this aspect is useful, but to say that even a master does not need advice, is to say that you, yourself, will never attain any sort of perfection; due to ego.

Well, of course there is always room for improvement and I have no doubt that after a few people post up their variation of this system that I will gain some improvements myself.

As far as having the lights fixed, I don't need to and the fans barley budge the bulbs. If the fans were blowing hard enough to bang the bulbs around then in this tight of a space, the plants would be breaking and getting wind burnt.

If someone has something that works and wants to show it by all means. I guess you can never be too safe.

Not sure, I have things to do and a road trip ahead. Definately when I get back in a couple of days because there will be 2 stadiums harvetsed in 4 days.
