HP Stadium

The first cool tube link , at least the one in their pic will not do. It has a reflector coating on one side. It has to be unblocked all the way around.
The reflector coating comes out.

To elaborate on question 3 about DIY vertical heres a few picture I just drew up. I am definitely not know for my artistic talent and this took 100% of my concentration and about an hour so please don't make fun.

This is what I came up with off the top of my head. The tiers would be in a complete vertical formation and be positioned at a 45 degree angle so the plants could grow outward.

Have you ever seen anyone do something based on the same concept as this. That concept being a more vertical formation but still employing the simplicity of the stadium.

I've seen systems for sale using this concept but don't know anyone who has tried them.

Well essentially it would be similar to your system. The only difference being that the plants are in a completely vertical formation and positioned on an incline. Northern Farmer, do you see any potential problems with these adjustments?

I understand you get a lot of questions, and really appreciate your help, but could you answer my last two posts?

Sorry to leave you wanting Pumpkin but I don't have all the answers. Measure what ever 2 gal pot you'd think about using and do the math. You are asking me to remember details of something I did over 10 years ago.

Again, the dimensions are above, 3 shelves per side. I forget how many plants.

I haven't grown your strains so I don't know. We used Northern Lights #4 back then. We got more than 2 lbs a bulb always. If we were using Hash Plant back then our numbers definitely would of been better, they improved in the current system.

This doesn't mean a 1 bulb variation will do that tho. In this system it gains weight with all the overlapping light.

Lighting thrown is similar I guess, fact is for growing plants beside the bulb vertical is better and over top horizontal is better. Compromises are made all the time tho.

Thanks for all the info NF. I think I will post those diagrams in a new thread to get a consensus.

Great grow you got going here by the way, awesome setup.

Appreciate it. I wouldn't expect anyone to remember details like that 10 years ago. I may be able to adapt it, I was just hoping I could be more confident about the decision. Again, thank you for all the information and you've made a time tested system that people will envy for very long.

Anyone remember JonJaffer from OG.

He had a style similar to this where he suspended PVC tubes from the ceiling in a stadium shape. Ran 3 1ks down the middle (he did horizontal w/ bat wings bent up a little). Got around 6lbs from 3k using 28 plants in his flower area.

The system was simple effective hydro.. nutrient was pumped via 1/2" to top of each tube..overflow outlet which was at net cup level at the other end of tube in larger diameter piping back to res. just fast water moving through tubes. :headbange

Hanging the tubes from the ceiling was great. allowed him access to the underside of the plants for pruning, bug spraying, ect. The room was simple..clean.

All of this info was lost when og when down. its a damn shame..
check out the below link for pictures of his setup. its a contribution to OG that was saved or cache... the pics wont expand as they were hosted on OG..

I have the final count of my harvest.

Fist of all comes the excuses :spank:

With 35 plants missing, that's almost 2 full shelves, another shelf of replacements which had zero veg and ended up being a single bud, 3.5 days of light missing from the flower and the fact that 25% of my numbers were Purple Kush...a notorious low producer.............2 oz short of 12 lbs.

That's at a first run at a new house. Improvements coming....

I've been intrigued by vertical systems before, but seeing Northern Farmers setup motavated me to finally give something similar a go. I had built a 50 plant 2 gal coco dtw system a few runs back so I already had something to play with. Because of the height differences I haven't attempted to automate the feeding although that would be nice. I didn't have that many cuttings so it's only 2 shelves but I'll take enough for 3 next time. Still need to veg the plants some more before flowering. 2k hps lights.

Thanks again Northern Farmer for sharing your knowledge!

Well, I can cram 220 plants in a full 10', 10 shelf room. Grab a calculator and work with that.

Here's some more HP I helped take down at a friends. It was just a single room as he has now split the grow into 2 separate finishes. The other comes down in a couple of weeks and has waaay more weight than that room. possibly a new single room record. Central AC redirected into your grow cannot be beat in a rental.... :rasta:

We left from there and immediately started taking down my two rooms.

I was in the ground and running the following day of harvest.

That's 100% Purple kush for this run.

Sorry if this has been stated already, but I have read through all of your posts and can't recall if you said.

Just wondering NF, do you preveg in another area or just have half the lights on in each room. Also, how long are you vegging before they go into the room?
