HP Stadium

It depends on a lot of factors plugged.I think bigger is better generally with youre air out, if its overkill and is getting too cold in the winter you can always hook it up to a thermostat so it will switch off every now and then but if yer underpowered then youre screwed. If you can have a good air out and keep good temps it will keep the humidity down and help combat any problems that arise like moldy buds, powdery mildew mites etc.

Sorry i posted my reply before i was finished plugged.250 may be small if yer using a couple of 1000 watt hps in that space. Its hard to give decent advice without knowing more factors.Type of lighting,do you have an air in,do you get big temp fluctuations where u live things of that nature.

thanks for the inspiration and knowledge northern farmer. First run here with my 400 hps 40 cuts. Hoping for close to 1lb. I think its doable without human error.

reading this thread gave me an idea that would help me out and keep me with smoke each week.this what i would do,i would have four rows set up on each side of my cab and one in the middle.i would harvest a row each week and the same time move the other plants over one row and do this every week while putting clones in the first row..you could do a 12/12 from seed if you wanted too. it would be best to go with 8 or 9 week strain. :2cents: :joint:

Fair. I'll give you some more info. :)

Outside temps usually range from mid 60s to mid 20s for the next 7 months or so. The only warm months are summer. I'm looking to keep humidity in a great range with potential for expansion (more lights, more heat = more airflow needed).

Air in will be from a larger room, so whatever air circulates through the house will find it's way in. Out air will either be blown out a boxed up window, or into an attic and out that way. No lights yet, but going to be buying some quality 1000w HPS bulbs and a ballast for each. No reflectors, everything hanging vertical. The room will be pretty much the same as yours, just a bit smaller (to start).

Basically, I want to be as professional with this as possible, and do everything right the first time.

Yeah you may wanna go a bit bigger than 250 ,I think nfarmer had a blower that was hooked up to a dimmer switch. If yer looking to add lights later you may be able to buy a bigger blower and do something like that.Sadly my SP blowers are one speed only.Would be nice to have adjustability.

I'll probably go with a 400-500cfm setup. Never hurts to get too much, it can be used later for other projects and expansions to this one :)

Thanks.

So, what sort of environmental controls do you recommend? I've read about some that are "easy" to use, you just plug it in and set the speed. Are these worth buying?

For myself i just keep the blowers going 24 hours a day which is nice.I have a few buddys who live in colder places and have their setup in a workshop and all they do is hook the blowers up to thermostats so when it gets too cold the blower switches off for a while till the temp comes back up.

well after alot of debate and ideas of what type of room to build.......i just finished building a 12' version of this stadium... 6.5'x6.5'x12' with 5 1000's....all wired up and ready to go except temps....i am using a 12'' fan for exhaust and as of now have (3) 12''x12'' passive intakes, temps are 88-90.... tomorrow i'm going to add (3) more and hopefully be able to keep temps down.... the intake air is 74 so it should work....

what sucks now is i have this sick ass flower room and have to start from seed so it won't be filled to capacity with clones (250) for atleast a couple months :(

anyway, just wanted to share with ya'll

hey everyone...
how would this setup work with 3 1000s hps and a light mover? im thinking of doing that...

don't know about a light mover but you could build a 7.5' long stadium for 3 lights

ouch..that sucks with not having clones... u using fem seeds? yea i was talking it over with a freind of mine..i thing a mover with 3 lights in a 10 foot stadium would be the most ideal setup for a mover...cux your moving the lights right down the line... and they could all be attached to a inch square piping...im runing a 10 footer right now with 3 1000s but im looking for a way i can save on some power so i could have 2 to 3 of these running at the same place...

oh nice..thats like a NF room... you running flip flops? the only thing i see different is the wood planks for the bottom two are on the same beem lines as NH..so you cant under cut the lower shelfs to make the stairs steeper.. that what i ran into mine.. with using blocks..its mad easy but i cant get the stadium as narrow as id like... how will you be watering ?? from hand inside? thats goona be kinda touchy from inside..if you spent that much time and money for a few 100 more you could have a simple drip system installed... good luck and you should start a dairy...

NFR - System is amazing! and I wanted to know if you could shed a little light on your past (peters) and current (quickgrow) feeding programs? especially the npk on the peters for veg & bloom. I have found the quickgrow, but can't locate any literature on that product. Really want to find a simple inexpensive nute program. thanks for all hard work.

I rarely say this, but mad props. For a moment I actually thought you stole Northerns pictures and put them up.

Again, much :respect: to you. Very well done.
