This is a stadium I set up a year and a half ago. It's a 20 foot long single with 9x1000W(cheap halides only). He was pretty green when I built that for him but he manages to get between 12-14 lbs when he isn't screwing it up. He's told me to let him learn on his own basically so I'm a spectator only.
I tried a new idea with that room. I enveloped the end out, like a triangle so that big Can 200 and 1200 cfm blower with 12" flex wouldn't be in the way. It has worked wonderfully.
This isn't one I set up but it's by the person who co-designed these rooms with me a long time ago. He actually is holding the record for most in a 4k x 4k flip flop or dual room. He came in at just a shade under 16 lbs. Missed by a couple of ounces.
Here's what to consider and underlines my logic on overlapping light. His rooms are 9 feet long because of space limitations. He is running 40-50 less plants than our standard number for a 10 foot room. More plants and stretching light means shit and he proves it. That was with the cheapest $35 MH on the market. No HPS.
He designed his room with plywood walls painted white. He has them joined together with hinges. Landlord calls and wants to come by...he pulls hinge pins and it all collapses and to the storage unit it goes.
