but damn man, arn't you and your crew in your rooms every day to keep those 1 gallon growbags watered? I mean, like every damn day you have to be in there watering no? :)

Unfathomable to me, wow! You guys really work for the weight, but damn... guess you gotta work for something ey!

Actually every second day.

That's the way it is with soil. Plants use up their water supply at different rates or I'd go with a watering system and I don't like to grow hydro in this method. I've considered it often. I'm still waiting for someone doing this system hydro to do better than us. So far not....

Macster,

I've purchased seeds from Kindseeds and they gave me the best product of the 3 seed companies I've used here in BC. I have heard 2 negative reports on here about their mail order, one being the above post. It sounds like it was previous personnel that was the problem.

We had a 7 week strain years ago we simply called Gary's. It was friggin awesome but it was killed in the mother room in a mishap. We didn't even know this Gary guy and to this day I have not been able to nail a real strain name to it. It had massive rock hard tops, a fast high that left you waist deep in the fridge an hour later. It made $$$$ though. :headbange

The name of the game is keeping everything close to the lights. People I know have tried their own variations of my system and when they make the rooms a little wider the buds are softer with plants stretching. I always tell people you have to keep it narrow.

thats a very intresting staduim and im looking into upgrading my aeroponic system to a staduim like yours instead to use 6inch pvc with misters i was looking for the dimensions of your stadium ??? thanks mannn :joint:

The rooms are 6.5' wide and 6.5' high. Length depends on # of bulbs. For 4x 1000w bulbs we build 10" long and run two rooms side by side usually on flip flop.

There is a mountain of details throughout this thread....

i have availabe to work with 3.5 wide by 9 long by 8.5 h do u think thats enough space for a staduim style ? if so then i believe out of the same room i can squeeze out another 3.5wide by 8 long an 8.5 runnning a flip flop between 2 seperate rooms how many shelves can i put in that ? 3.5 x 9 ?

what i actually need is the spacing between the shelves and how far up to the cieling can you go ? and from the floor up spacing req. you should do a DIY link on this staduim grow and post all the pics for the results which r freeaaakin awesome lol sorry if im houndin ya :bashhead:

Hey Northern Farmer

Just wanted to say thanks again for all the info and pictures. Been watching and reading. Got to say, you got this style wired tight. You sure are pulling in some very nice crops with the amount of lights and space your using. I think I'm going to end up setting up a place like yours. A little different in a few ways, but the same amount of space. If you don't mind. I'm going to shoot some info your way and see what you think.

7' wide and 8' high and 10'

2 rooms as you. Had my panel built for this reason.

6x600HPS Grolux. 3600watts per a room

2 AC wall units. One per a room. Don't know the BTU's as of yet, but it will be a unit over size for the amount of lights and square footage.

Ebb&Flo or Drip Hydro System. I don't want to have to deal with buying soil or getting rid of it. I tend to do better in hydro any ways.

Going with hydroponic trays. With 7.5" square pots in them. The trays have just enough space to keep the pots from tipping if they are top heavy, so this is a plus.

Strains, well from the start. Going with two I know well and yield like Monsters. One room will be filled with Green Giant and the other with a killer yielding and smoking pheno of NYCD. I know these two well and they are top smoke all around.

Carbon filters in the rooms and exiting the rooms. Rooms will be sealed tight

Last but not least. Power will be feed by a 12 kW Diesel generator. Picked one up not to long ago. So, powering the grow souldn't be a issue.

Well, thats it and I hope you don't mind. If you got any ideas or corrections for me. Please, let me know. Love your setup and can't wait to give it a whirl. I know what both of these cuts do in a normal Ebb&Flo flat garden and I can't wait to see what they do in this setup.
Take care,
BG

I don't think you can pull off my style of a room with 3.5' wide...unless we are talking meters? Nope not a chance.

Remember folks, I choose places that will fit my stadiums. If they don't have the space to do it I move on. I cannot really help you unless your dimensions are at least close. Otherwise it's like me designing you a room from scratch and although I will follow your adventure, I'm not a growtician for hire...on the net at least. :joint:

Shelving,

I leave 20 to 22" ceiling space for the top shelf and drop them 10" each from there. I simply split the space for each shelf equally. I find it easy with a small square. Once they eye up equal I fasten each end down with a screw to keep in place.

From floor up is irrelevant.

I have not tried 600W bulbs ever. I've only grown with 1000W. You have the dimensions pretty close to mine. If you don't mind me asking why if you are on a genny don't you use 1000W? Personally with 3x600w, I'd be making those rooms shorter in length or increasing the number of 600w bulbs. I think the over lapping light is what gives this concept it's higher yield.

Besides that everything looks good to me but I can comment little on your hydro plans. That's where you are teaching me.

Hey Northern Farmer,

Thanks, for the reply. The dimensions aren't set in stone. Since my place will pretty much be new and built to the setup. I'll most likely play with the nu,bers to get it right. As for me being on a generator and not using 1000W. Well, I personally like them better, but i'll have a nice surplus of them for other grows. Coli units and a cube unit, so I'll have them to use. Playing with the numbers for the 600's is a good point. Once i get to new location and I'm standing there with a tape. I'll have a better idea, but your right. I need to change the numbers. Also, I'll be running cool tubes in both rooms.

Well, thanks again for the thread and reply. I'll make sure to link everyone to my thread. Once i get going with the construction and then the stocking of the clones. I think everyone will get a kick out of the hydro setup. Bonzo, is kickin it pretty damn well also. He's got a top feed also. I might go that route, but I got to see these trays first. If i can pipe them to drain well. I'm going flood to drain. If not, then drip system.
Thanks again,
BG

Golddust,

what strains are you thinking of running if you don't mind me asking?

Blunted,

Those rooms have 4 1000w per.

No hoods or tubes.

Morning Northern Farmer,

I'll be running Green Giant and NYCD. I have cuts of both that are just super. The NYCD it self runs me about 3-4oz's in a flat Ebb&Flo setup and the Green Giant runs me about 2-3oz's per in same setup. It's been awhile, but i think my numbers should be back up there. The only issues with these two strains. Is the NYCD, because it's a large main cola that goes just over 27" tall. Here a cola I took early, but still yielded well. Old pictures

This last picture is the mother of NYCD I kept and buded out because she was getting to big. Just replaced her with a new clone.

Take care,

That's awesome looking.

I've warned other people about those tall sativa types in this room. They tend to block the plants on the shelves above and there will be no room on the upper shelves for them. You are running cool tubes so the leaners wont toast like what happens to us.

Keep that NYCD on the lower two shelves and the shorter strain above I suppose.

If you could keep them short and get tops like that in this system you will be rich pretty quick!

No worries. I've got like 3 packs of seeds left and will grow them out and make some seeds. I'll share them, but before anyone ask. I don't know when I'll get around to them, maybe late spring. Here's some pictures. Hope Northern Farmer doesn't mind.

Will do Northern Farmer. It's going to be testing for sure. Getting the strains I grow to do what i want, but members like you and all the help you give. I think i'm going to be good. I'll do that and place those plant towards the bottom and place the Green Giant up top. Since they are short little suckers. As you can see from the pictures i posted. It should work out like you posted. Will see soon enough. If all goes well and I hope so. I should have new place and all setup for about Jan-Feb, maybe sooner. Got all the gear pretty much, just going to be looking for a new place. Shouldn't take long at all. I think I'll shorten the length and do like you said. I'm thinking, 2 verticle tubes with 2 or 3 lights. I'll know once i see them setup. Thanks again for the help Northern Farmer. Love the thread and I hope you don't mind me posting the pictures of the strains.

Thanks a lot guys for your kind words and positive rep!!

There are other stadium set ups around that I constructed for people. I will take pics on my travels because they are scattered around the province.

I think the longer single one may spark some interest to the people who have that kind of narrow space.
