What kind of caps are you using? Gelatin or Vegetable based?
A buddy of mine that runs one of those diy herb shops says that the gelatin caps are better as they are not broken down as easily by the coco oil.

Then again if you are using gelatin caps what I am typing here is nil :p

im pretty sure they are glucose. as far as my research tells me its the thc breaking the capsules down not the coconut oil. I have heard that corn starch can help and i am going to give that a try but figured some people on here may have some better ideas.

Not fully decarboxilized. Just ~75%.

Digital data may slightly differ from other sources.
Decarboxylation process can be visually monitored and controlled by the dynamics of separation CO2 bubbles.

Is 223 the ideal temp? Im reading up but a little confused from that chart. I have been doing 170degrees for 25mins but It sounds like Ive been being a pussy

Meow!

Hotter, faster, (& deeper?) produces a higher THC yield (and more provocative pictures)! What more need be said, other than the best process for you should support your end goal.

What are you hoping to accomplish?

well before Ive just been trying to purge, but after reading about the decarb stuff I would say I want it to be nice and strong . I redid a bunch of shit I made prior last night, did 223 for 51mins, taste smoother and possibly stronger, hard to tell

so basically the 293 for 7mins will get your stuff nice and strong

Don't know! I have a dark, dry, cool QWISO sample over two years old that is still potent.

For what is worth, cannabis resins appear reasonably stable.

Yesterday for instance, I pulled and sampled a bud sample from a mystery strain that I grew from a clone four years ago, and have kept jarred in my basement to see how long it will remain viable.

I shared it with another high tolerance volunteer patient tester, whom reported as I did, that the sample was still strongly heady and still provided strong pain relief.

I have glycerin tincture samples in my refrigerator in blue or amber bottles, that are three years old and still viable.

As you've noted, cool, dark, and dry appear to work.

A couple of pics from OG for you. First, a nice jar full of QWISO cherry and honey oleoresin for comparison, followed by a tin of QWISO cherry oleoresin, turned bright red in the sun.

I've noted the cherry colored aspects of QWISO, vis a vis QWET. Any theories on the color difference?

Very informative read. Was wondering how small a batch you guys would even consider worth trying? Being a personal stash grower I do not produce a lot of popcorn or trim, but I do produce some. Would ten grams of decent sugar trim really produce about a gram or would the process not even be effective with such small batches? I appreciate any info

I'm not sure GW but it might be that ISO extracts more carotenoids than ETOH because it's slightly less polar. Or perhaps it just extracts more of a particular carotenoid than ETOH. Batches made with acetone also turn a nice red in the sun, so there are probably many other polar solvents that will work for this. The reason that sunlight turns dark oleoresins red seems to be because it degrades other pigments like chlorophyll much more readily and therefore helps to reveal the previously hidden carotenoid pigments. Here's a little experiment that I did with some salad leaves and water of all things.

Small is a good size for the first experiment!

Would love to be a fly on the wall at your place and just listen to your knowledge. Thanks WOLF!

Thanks bro! Nice experiment!

Do you know if any weight loss occurs with the chlorophyll degrading?

Thanks for the good thoughts TD, but you notice this is the wall I hang around to learn for myself?
