Hi Dubi its thanks to your endless generosity that I have some Malawi Ethiopian seeds. I still have the fruity Malawi x Ethiopian to try!
The Malawi Ethiopian is my favorite high but crossed to the Mulanje its just mind numbingly good.
One pheno more to the Ethiopian side crossed to Mulanje actually makes my face numb as it comes on!
Its overpowering in its intensity and has 4 levels of effects that happen on the hour as the high progresses ha ha.
Its easily far and away the best euphoric high I have had the pleasure of experiencing.
@Tangwena great description brother, do you think the effect is derived from the mulanje? Or a combination of all tbe genes? Ive not read up too much on the Ethiopian as i ki da thought it was a medium to low potency strain but maybe I'm ill informed

It must be a mix of the genes because Mulanje alone is not like that neither is the Malawi/Ethiopia.
Malawi/Ethiopia is hell potent cob cured as strong as Golden Tiger in my experience.
I made sure to secure several packs from Dubi as I knew it was a great mix once I tried it the first time.
Real African sativa high but has to be cured cob style to get the authentic experience I love it.

It's been a couple of weeks since my last update.
Life in Las Alpujarras continues as normal, ie nice and slow.
Most of the tourist have gone and we can once again enjoy the attractions of the coast without the crowds.

For the last week or so, we've been expecting storms, but as usual they haven't arrived. We had some rain about 2 weeks ago, but only for a few hours; not enough to really wet the ground but it did green up the mountain a bit though.

Yesterday, (as some of you might remember 😂)was Friday, so as usual we headed down to the coast to our usual quite spot on the beach.

But instead of tourists we found these guys!
IMG_20230915_135742.jpg

Goats!, Such wonderful creatures, I love them!.

The Destroyer is finally flowering!

That's all for now; my phones about to die, so I need to put it on charge.
More photos later!

What a beauty she looks like a big producer from here, please keep us posted on her transition from young lady to old dame.
Ive had my eye on this strain for ages but never got round to actually doing some.
But a great stroke of good fortune has enabled me to get a chance to grow her.

@Tangwena, I will indeed brother.

Life's strange; as some of you will know, I've been practicing yoga now for some time with my neighbour, who just happens to be a 40+year yoga teacher.
She's a difficult lady and isn't overly will thought of by the locals. For over 2 years of put up with her ways because of my training.
Some of you will remember that she was going to put my potted Green haze 19 A5 and my icmag haze in her enclosed patio area for finishing, well, 2 weeks ago it came to me from 3 different sources that she'd been bad mouthing Mrs DM!.
Suffice to say, I no longer train twice a week with her.

So, I have a bit of a dilemma; what to do with them? I really wanted them going into 80 or even 100 ltr fabric pots. 😒

The Green Haze 19 should be ready by mid December (Should!, everything is so late this year), so I've decided that I can put it I the ground where the Destroyer male was a while back. It doesn't get as much sun in the late afternoon as I would like, but it is protected from the predominant wind and therefore should be able to finish without getting blown to pieces.
Here she is in her new home.
IMG_20230916_124425.jpg

She seems to really like it! But not yet flowering 🙁

"What is that bamboo with twisted wire for?, on the first photo.", some of you might be thinking... or perhaps not?

I've been reading a bit about electro culture recently and thought, "why not give it a go". So I have! Basically it's a coil of copper wire (in my case, some multi stranded speaker cable), with one end into the ground. Supposedly plants grow better and bigger.
I put the "ariels" into the earth just over a week ago and only on 3 plants; the 3 plants that weren't doing so well, in an attempt to improve them. We'll see🙂

Here we have one of the 2 Zeniths. This one is the more Sativa of the 2 and is at least 2 weeks behind her (more indica looking) sister.
IMG_20230916_124326.jpg

All my plants, except the Destroyer are a little bit smaller than I would like at this time of year but they still have many weeks to go yet; Thankfully 🙂

Just starting to flower.
She already has a strong smell.🙂

Wow your plants are late too this year. Mid December sounds optimistic 🙈

Neighbours talking shit sucks but try not to be in bad terms with her if possible. She knows you have plants. You never know how far some people are willing to go when they have a confrontation. Just a thought 🤔 you can get back to her in a subtle way maybe doing your naked downward dog in front of her kitchen window showing her your balls and unwashed asscrack every morning. Just brainstorming here 🤷‍♂️

Garden is looking great mate, they should still stretch for a while and gain some size before fully flowering I'm sure 😃

And here's the other Zenith.

She's been flowering for about almost 3 weeks now I guess. Not a lot of smell to her yet, though a stem rub gives an interesting smell with a little mint. This is the pheno that I was hoping for. The "one that shouldn't be sold" according to some😂. Idiot! Cannabis that is too strong, Oh for fucks sake!.
I'm hoping that when it's done and cobbed, it will be full on energy, climbing the walls, quadruple espresso type.
Obviously I have big balls! 😂
(Not quite as big as they were before the operation, 😂), but big enough to try "the one that shouldn't be sold".
I've added an ariel to this one also, hoping to get some monster buds.

@revegeta666 , I'm not after any sort of revenge or even harbour bad feelings towards her. I actually feel sorry for her, in so much as for her too bad mouth the lovely Mrs DM 6months after the matter in question shows me she's not a happy person. It's not surprising she has no friends. Mrs DM is loved in the village by everyone and is highly thought of. By my stopping training with her, she's lost 2 mornings a week of socialization and that's a lot when you have no friends, as well as no longer being ale to access my tai chi class;
I have already joined several friends in 2 other yoga classes and my tai chi students are pleased she no longer practising with us.

another plant that is only just showing signs of starting to flower.🙁
I'm not to sure as to why everything is so late? It's not as if I've been heavy handed with late doses of nitrogen or topped to late (I've managed not to top at all this year). I top dressed with worm castings a month ago. The only feed they are getting is a tea that I brew with worm castings, bat shit and molasses. 'Tis a mystery.🤔
Fingers crossed I'll have the weather to get them finished.🙂

And last but not least, the Icmag Haze.

She's still in 50ltr fabric pot. She's currently in a good spot but there is nowhere that I can put her in the ground that gets sun and is out of the wind.
I'm thinking that she'll just have to stay in the 50ltr pot and I'll move her indoors on bad weather days. Not an ideal solution but it should suffice.
The Icmag Haze is very nitrogen sensitive and she didn't respond so well to being transplanted 5 weeks ago into slightly hotter soil.
I gave her a weak feed of my brewed tea 4 days ago and she appears to have responded well.

not yet flowering. The one I grew last year didn't really start till the end of September and would have gone until mid January I reckon, had it not been chopped early due to an impending storm; still a top weed though! 😍

That's all folks!

@Tangwena, is there such a thing as luck?
You reap what you sow brother.

I imagine that your seed collection is massive.🙂

I've just been looking back through some of the older posts on this thread and seen that not one of you liked Montuno post https://www.icmag.com/threads/hombre-del-montes-garden.18123341/post-18168938 🙁

It's from you tube and the music is heavy duty flamenco, But the video shows the villages of Las Alpujarras and the simple life here. Personally I love the music but if you don't, just turn it down. It really gives an idea of where we live and why we love the place. Simple campo life.

But as I always say to Mrs DM when it's hot, "we didn't move to Spain to wear jumpers in July".
The Misses is totally right! :tiphat:

I think i'll learn two new english words today... but this time i will not guugle it, wanna hear it from you guys! 😁 The words are 'ariel' and 'jumpers'. Some trousers i assume for the jumpers...

As for your plants, it's always a joy to look at all these, sativas are extra special of course! I love music and dancing so... :kos::dance013:

@Mitsuharu, Bloody Germans! 😂Thank you my friend, I'm English and an ex radio and radar technician, believe it or not, and I can't spell the other word for antenna 😂.
aerial, I think that is the correct spelling.
As for jumpers, they are sweaters or cardigans. 😂

I do read my posts before posting and even then I still have to go back and edit several times. 🙂.

Perhaps I should lay of the devils lettuce 😂
