Thats great, those plants are so low, looks like a groundcover! Nice job the training!

Looking great! Plants are moving along well! Where does the ICMAG Haze come from?

The Destroyer from old seed does look pretty vigorous! How was the germination success rate on it? Do you plan on reproducing the line to make new seed soon? Usually breeders do that every 10 years or earlier. Would be a good idea to remake if you want to preserve the line!

Thanks for sharing! Glad you had a good morning, it is good to teach and share what you know! Most of the time, you end up learning something new yourself! :smoke:
Hi @pipeline , the icmag haze was a gift from @flower~power , he had a sort of competition (everyone who entered won!) and gave away seeds that he'd made from original haze. It's long story, but I think I have a link https://www.icmag.com/posts/18045329/

The germination rate of the 2005 Destroyer seeds was 100%. I started 3 and @el mani started of 2.
5 out of 5! Congratulations to Mani on his excellent storage technique!

My plan is to make seed!. It's something I've never done; well not intentionally😂
I shall let him grow a while yet before I take some cuttings, which I'll flower indoors. This year I'm hoping to do the same with one of the haze males also.

In truth I really don't need any more seed.
I've so many different Sativas that I want to try, as of recently some exciting indicas, that I want to try and do a winter grow with, but it would be nice to have some for the future and for friends.

Nice nice nice. Hombre, when do you expect your haze types to start flowering and finish?

Best,
P.
Hi there my friend.

I did the icmag haze last year and it didn't start flowering until the end of September!. We harvested it a very early in mid December. Both Mrs DM and myself were ill with a nasty flu bug and bad storms were approaching. Despite the fact that it was harvested early it still had produced a exceptionally nice high. A gave one to friend and he harvested it early January.
The plan this year is to put one of each type in fabric pots and grow them in my neighbours enclosed courtyard. It doesn't get the sun that my garden gets, so I'll keep them as long as I can and then transplant them into their final pots when I eventually take them to her

The neighbour in question happens to be my yoga teacher and she's a part time weekend smoker at best. The deal is that I split the plants 50 50 from each. She has no idea of what's in store for her!😂

I gave her a small bit of Golden Tiger (about 200mg) cob recently with very strict instructions to eat only a smallest bit. The silly lady didn't listen and ate it all! 200mg is a good dose for a regular, but for a part time weekend smoker it's a big dose. It put her off weed for a little while.🙂

You and your cricket, always living on the edge :D That's a great sativa lineup, looks like they will make great bushes with that nice wide spread!
We know how to live here! We might be poor mountain folk but we have the internet and a hacked cricket stream.

The only problem is, Mrs DM love's the cricket as much as I do! For 5 days nothing really gets done at our place and we eat or meals in front of the tv.

How's the temperature up there in Castellón? A lot of people from our area are heading north for a better climate.

It's nice here, for once even I can't complain 🤣 it's hot but we've had several cloudy or rainy days so it's nice to get a break. Today was cob day and I went to the beach at sunset, still very high. It was quite exciting as there have been a few shark sightings at my town lately haha 🦈🦈🦈

Sounds nice brother!

Cob and the breach, I love it!

We were on the beach on Friday and had the place almost to ourselves! 2 km down the road it was packed. The place we use has no bar or facilities but it's quite and there are no jet skies or tourists, but best of all is I can get my kit off and tan my bum! I can't stand having to cover up.

Nice plants brother about the cricket though. When I first came to Australia 40 odd years ago I was a dyed in the wool England supporter.
That changed after about 5 years of getting depressed watching them loose every game ha ha.
Still have a soft spot for them though although I think you need the sun and lots of it to get good at cricket.
I still cant understand how the West Indies form has gone down hill since the days of glory in the 70s and 80s.
Must be all the hybrid hash plants they are smoking these days ha ha.

It's great that a bit of pollen would come from that one around here... Hopefully something can be done.

Very old and well made, the seeds last many years if they are well stored.

Here is a Sweet blue from S. O. L which are even older, these and some skunk #1 from sensi were one of the first ones that I grew indoors,

(...)The last few days the temperature has dropped to a pleasant 32-34c.(...)
...Well, then just the same, "igualito-igualito", just like here... Here too the maximum temperatures drop to a pleasant between 34°C and 32°C (93°F and 90°F)..., but you have to wait for the interval between 10 and 12 midnight (22PM and 0AM) to achieve it...
We still haven't dropped below 23°C (73'5°F) nightly minimum on any of these nights, and you have to wait until 6 in the morning, just an hour before dawn, to achieve it... It is clear that another summer that I have to meet with all the °C that you and Revegeta are losing along the way...
Of course, at least the daytime highs have dropped, and according to the AEMet forecast, we will not exceed 40°C (104°F) again throughout this week.

To continue all well!

I grew skunk 1 when it first came out.
First the only seed was NL and then came skunk 1. I think my next grow was Super Skunk or was there's something called Skunk 2?
Your plants are looking superb , as usual. 😀
Y un abrazo para ti tambien prima

I don't know how you guys cope! 40c so early in the season.
We're getting below 20c by about 4am.

I had to drive through the village the other day aground 3pm and was shocked at how many tourists were walking around. Didn't see anyone I knew though🙂

How does the song go? "Mad dogs and English men!". I tell people I'm Belgian! 😂

Super skunk is skunk #1 crossed to the maple leaf indica. They didn't make a skunk #2 :D
That's interesting; I didn't know that!

I do recall I preferred the first skunk.

That was back in the day when I knew even less than now! I do remember that the skunk stretched like mad. I had a makeshift grow room in my attic. No real air exchange or filter! Thankfully nobody knew what growing weed smelt like then.

My first indoor was with an adventure mix of S.O.L, and a cross between durban x super skunk, around the year 2000... I would like to have one of those spicy and aniseed durban again...
If you want next year we'll try it with the leshaze, they're also old “cohones”, (leshoto x skunk/haze)
titoooo... Around here we have humid heat and at 32/34 ºc you already have a good suffocation more due to the humidity than the temperature.
Neither English nor Belgian....

The first weed I ever smoke was Durban Poison. I was 17 and had only ever smoked hash. (The hash was good though).
I was at my friends father and his partners house and I had just a few tokes, as I had to go home on a motor bike to have an evening meal with my parents.

I thought 3 or 4 tokes and I'll be ok in a coulpe of hours. Shit, was i wrong. That was excellent weed! That was a difficult medal. It was the first time I'd been high and my parents present. Scary! 🙂😂 I grew some DP's Durban about 6 years ago and was surprised how stimulating it was. Obviously not the weed I enjoyed over 45 yrs ago, but still good. It was the only weed I'd let myself smoke before teaching tai chi. It was almost like having a good coffee!

I'd love to get hold of some of that Durban from the 70's! (? Anyone?). 😀

There was a thread here i have seen in the last weeks, guys searching for old/original stuff...

I started with hash too first with 15 or 16 years in mid 90s... we just called it 'Standard' or 'Euro Plate'. With that age it was trippy enough. ^^ Big brother of a friend had some polm from our dutch neighbors some time but we got to try that much later. First weed we got around 2 years later was White Widow, at least it was called like that. ;)

Hombre del mont

Dr of Stupidity
I grew White Widow when it first came out, along with most of the classic Dutch strains, before they had been around a few years and their genetics diluted.
I was gifted a Very special clone of Super Lemon Haze when it was new.

But when all said and done, I prefer the Sativas that I grow now.
But saying that, I did have a very special NL5 x Haze. Wouldn't say no to that again.🙂

A beautiful early morning in the mountains.
IMG_20230704_145129.jpg

But we know it going to get hot!, not hot like our cousin @Eltitoguay gets, but hot enough, 36-37c.

So today being Tuesday, we loaded up the car, whacked on the aircon and drove to the beach!

IMG_20230704_145413.jpg

Pretty quite for the first week in July!

The sea is a prefect temperature, possibly a little too warm for real swimming, but lovely for just lounging about in it.

Less than 1km along the coast it's so packed with people already. You can park your car (if your lucky) at the side of the road (expensive) and walk past the numerous chiringuitos and onto the beach. The smell of sun cream, perfume and more recently, blueberry vapes is a little offensive to my country nose!
We have to walk for about 8 mins carrying our stuff, but get the place virtually to ourselves, even in August! No power boats or jet skies are allowed and the area immediately behind us is protected natural space and has lots of different birds. Much more in tune with us simple mountain folk.

After 3 hours of wonderful sunshine, and a bit of naked yoga (me, not Mrs DM!), we return home to the mountains, passing by a half empty reservoir. (Not because of our lack of rain, but because the structure is failing and it can't hold the volume of water that it should!). All along the valley below they have, in the last year, installed very large loudspeaker warning systems!.
IMG_20230704_132141.jpg

Glad we live in the mountains in the distance!
