Nobody knows what haze really is, or ot1haze, or the haze used by Nevil .... difficult to make a precise and reliable diagram with the few info (not always reliable) that circulate ....
I would like the seeds made by Nevil to end up in the hands of true enthusiasts, and not unscrupulous traders or liars ...

The original work is apparently too valuable as exclusive breeding stock to those that have it to share in Nev's original form.
Instead, it seems THE RABBLE have to be satisfied with hybrid outcrosses that other people make for the market. Poly hybrids. Like what they are doing with "Outback Haze."
Might be some fire phenos in what other people do with it, but it's not really Nev's work anymore once it's outcrossed like that is it?

Sad that the original stuff is hoarded that way $$$.
Hard to believe that is what Nev would have wanted, but I wasn't his best buddy.
Just exchanged a few PM's with him back in the day at MNS.

I need a help to translate "rabble" hahaha

Don't be so pessimistic, things come their way, not the sympathies or whims of some New Age guru, and everything we do remains written here, in black and white, for future generations (just as you can read what has been said and done in the past ;) )
Maybe it's worth rereading the posts and understanding what Nevil intended to do, where he wanted to go with holy grail, and not what others claim for him; but I guess I'm going too far oT with this ....

One more thing, it hasn't been long (about ten years, maybe less) since I started looking here and there for info on the best varieties to grow (according to what I knew then);well, if today i grow great sativas, Oaxacan, Thais, Jamaican, but also great Afghani and good cross like Nev. Hz x Mullum or Original haze, ecc...well, it's just because people have shared these things(also info, not just seeds) with me, if we hold everything close to us, things die with us ....
Sorry for boring OT.

The pure Outback Haze is a feminized seed line, there's no way of releasing it pure in Reg form.

Nobody said anything about Reg vs fem.
Hell, S1s of the best cut whoever has the original seeds could find would be the seeds everyone wanted from that project.
Is outback haze made with Nev21? I know he resorted to using it as a reversed pollen donor after not being satisfied with the results he got pollinating it with outcross males.

I think when people hold onto genetics nine times out of 10 it’s either out of obligations to someone else prior down the line or else for financial reasons

Interesting.
In my mind, "rabble" = unruly mob, unwashed masses.
A group of people looked down on by others, by snobs.

I looked at the various online dictionaries and the definitions are all over the place. Most have the main idea captured somewhere including:
  • A group of persons regarded with contempt.
  • A crowd of noisy people who seem likely to cause trouble.
  • a disorderly crowd; mob.
  • a disorganized or confused collection of things.
Wordnik confuses it with "babble" when they describe it as:
  • To speak confusedly; talk incoherently; utter nonsense.
  • To utter confusedly or incoherently; gabble or chatter out.
Before they get it right with:
  • noun A tumultuous crowd of vulgar, noisy people; a confused, disorderly assemblage; a mob.
  • noun Specifically, the mass of common people; the ignorant populace; the mob: with the definite article.
  • Pertaining to or consisting of a rabble; riotous; tumultuous; disorderly; vulgar; low.
When I used it in my previous post, I was suggesting that the people who now hold Nev's original work do not think the general growing population is worthy of having it "pure" and offer only hybrids to the common folks as "good enough for them."

Yes, somebody has dreams of getting rich or famous from the work some day in the future.
But as we have seen with these works specifically, and so many others in the past, what happens more often is that the seeds wind up never getting grown at all or if grown, never make it out to enough people to make any impact.
The dreams of fame and fortune die as the vitality of the seeds decline waiting to be grown or they are otherwise lost.

I hope to influence a change by calling attention to these things brother.
That's optimism, not pessimism.
If I didn't think it could happen, I wouldn't waste my time talking about it ;-)

When Nevil stopped posting at MNS, we lost direct access to any changes in his vision.
Kanga and Bushweed continued to post progress reports on those original goals while Kanga was involved with Nev. But once Nevil got what he wanted from that collaboration, he continued to work the lines alone, and that progress was not reported on the web.
Anything we will hear about his intentions in those stages will be second hand, and I have no idea who Nev may have been working with or who wound up with his work after he died.

If the people behind Outback Haze are on this forum, I have no idea who they are or what their relationship with Nevil was. I only see the people making hybrids, and they obscure the source of the cut, obviously at the owner's request.
It is frustrating to me to think that there could be a member here that might be "that guy," who (for whatever reason) only shares that knowledge with a very few and "walks among us" occasionally hinting that he knows things nobody else does but never sharing it in a verifiable way.

Yes man, my Google translate refused to translate it for a moment, but now he translates it to me... Crazy technology...

the remaining stock was supposedly left with wally nolands , who we all knew as someone else from forums we have been on previously ,
apparently he cared for nevil in the later stages of his illness ,
the name is on the tip of my tongue ,but i cant quite recall it ,

i know the man as i sent him a bunch of hash once to help with his ill mother (medicinal of course) , pretty sure thats how it went ,
some , ill use the word rabble, lol ,
accused me of getting that person banned from these forums ,
but its not true at all , even very unruly members get many chances before they cop a banning and its usually just temporary...

that is apparently who holds nevs last seed stock ...

The OutBack Haze uses 2 Nevils Haze the NH21 / NH36 and my Thai.

apparently he cared for nevil in the later stages of his illness ,

No he worked with Nevil at Tasscann then Ausscann then when Nevil had health issues pre the C he was there to look after him and then looked after him threw his last illness.

So no he was not there at the later stage of Nevils illness he was there helping and working with Nevil for well over a decade.

luckily i said apparently ,,
hate to be pulled up for not having one hundred % accurate information hey .. lol ..
i guess i would have been more accurate to say , his one time carer ?
anyhow it has little to do with the crux of the information and the post above is just a distraction by the rabble i mentioned in my previous post .. ...
