the whole song is about mainstream bullshit that they play over and over again(shaggy 2dope ftfo cd). if i even listen to the radio, most of the time 2 out of the 5 decent stations are playin the same song at the same time,,,,WTF?

Just noticed a link to this thread and had to check it out. I only fully read a few pages and skimmed the rest, but some of you guys got some good taste in Hip Hop.
I saw that 'niggamortis' gravediggaz isht, build for cuban linx, and a few others that I really enjoyed back in the day.
I dont know if anyone mentioned KRS, but not... "HOW DARE YOU!!!"
Nah seriously, KRS is one of the only heads of my generation that i think truly cemented his name amoung the true legends.
In my yrs I've had the pleasure of meeting some truly legendary heads. Ahki Afrikka Bambaata was dope to talk to, Ice-T was cool n shit, even Tim Dogg was worth slappin hands with. But the god D.J Kool Herc was the one.
This is the man who truly built this culture. F@$% the dumb shit, if you really wanna talk about old school, you dont get much more genuine then heads like Herc, Bam, Theodore, flash, (if you know what I'm talkin bout, you know"
Someone mentioned the 90's being the golden age, i gotta agree with that to an extent. IMO it's when beatsm production, and flows got truly dope, and the commecial Fast food Music dimension of Hip Hop hadn't poisoned this culture.
