Bench - they are "elite" isolated selections made by individuals from the ChemSour x SSCDH F1 line

P1 - is a haze leaning pheno selected by MoneyMike

Lazy Lightning - is a more Chem leaning pheno with unique nuances selected by MegaRawTen and MeltingPot

However, the #2 ended up being the winner in more ways than one. We call her Numero Dos or Lazy Lightning since SuperSilverChemdawghaze by ChemSour is kinda long and she reps the trifecta of haze, chem and sour as well as any girl I have seen. She grows very bushy, almost sideways at times it seems and stacks branches like none other. She is a very fast finisher, the seed run went 63 days and was amazing lime popsicle piney earthy hazy chemical cleaner. She has gone 63-70 days on the clone runs and my best yield ever was with 4 of her in 10 gallon fabric pots under a 1k got 40 zips, running Sunshine 4/EWC mix and bio biz line. usually I average around 1.5/1k so to get 2.5 was mind blowing. She throws swollen apple chunks that are heavy like almost pieces of hash, pick up a handful and it all sticks together in a chunk like the GG4. The most recent run was taken at 63 days and smells like straight gasoline and haze/chemdawg with a real nice lemon/lime note. Thru a water pipe I think she has more flavor than the GG4 and GG4 is just about my favorite thing to puff right now. Have had people comment on how strong #2 is flavor wise and potency wise, one of the few where I have been asked is there hash on this? She really is world class, only downside is leaving lower growth can lead to nanners, but it goes without saying given the nature of the "Father" i presume. wanted to add my experience with her and feel blessed to have the opportunity to give something back to this community which has given me so much. Thanks again to all those putting in work to improve the gene pool!

And to keep everything clear - this line - is 100% Phillthy's work. He sprouted the seeds and made the selections. He bred the plants.

Chem D (clone) x Sour D IBL - Reservoir Seeds - mom - ChemSour
SSH x Chem D IBL - Reservoir Seeds - dad - SSCDH

Thanks for the breakdown man  Here I was for some reason thinking for a couple of weeks that it was a Loompas Headband cross Bodhi was doing. I don't know where I got that from.

:)

First Archive took my Ghost OG x with the Casper name....

And now I'm being told Bohdi is taking the Lazy Lightning name...

ROFLMAO....sigh. Never fails. Even when it's documented first...

dank.Frank

booo lazy lighting is such a good name! i'll always think of this cut as lazy lightning.

i also recently noticed gage green is using a male they call snowman...

WTF!! Isn't that some shit...
I know for a fact the Lazy Lightning cut has been around for way longer then Bodhi taking the name.. From what I hear he's a cool guy so maybe hell see this and change the name..

[...] DF and I know Snowman was found 3+ years ago..

Hey guys sorry its been a while since I posted but wanted to comment on the Bodhi thing. I spoke with the rep on the east coast for Bodhi's gear and he said he has never seen any official release or creation of seeds bearing the name Lazy Lightning, he referred me to the same post from 2012 which states "if hes into it" regarding Loompa and the use of his headband in the cross. I think that after 3 years and nothing else posted regarding that name attached to a strain, I am free to use it to label my keeper and from now on thats what will be done. Im just Happy i dont have to revert to the original name, which was Ratdog Haze. Negative attention is still attention and I decided that it needed a better name if it was going out into the world. It is in reference to her growth pattern and her LSD like effects. Hate to refer people to IG, but i have some pics of the Lazy Lightning on there if anyone is interested to see more of her, my IG is megarawten. Cant wait to see what comes out of the F2's, huge ups to DF!! Thanks for taking the time!

Nice man. I'm glad you took the initiative...lol. Honestly, I was just going to keep doing my little thing over here and go on about things. If people wanted to assume it was a selected cut from a Bodhi release sometime down the line, I was cool with that. It's not like I'm some massive breeder to where I would expect the big boys to give two cents about what's going on in my little sandbox.

I've had things posted online as future projects - names - line directions, etc - and it always gets snagged up by someone else. There's pretty much exact crosses with names I gave them - on the market right now - produced by other companies. I just chalk it up to part of the game.

And yeah, Ratdog Haze...ROFL...glad you came up with something different!!

Huge thanks and respect to you - you've got a great eye and she is a fantastic plant. I'm super excited about her in general. I didn't think I'd come across anything with mono-crop potential like GG#4 for a long time to come, but she fits the bill. Truly an impressive specimen.

I'll have to check IG...it's not something I use. You don't mind if I steal those pics and repost them for the ICm crowd, do you?

(NINJA EDIT) - I see it's on private. Erg. I'm going to have to eventually break down and make one of those things...Sigh.

:respect:

Thanks for posting all that up, Heady!

To clarify a couple of things:

The line was a combination of two Rez lines (which is why the "ratdog haze" name was so hilarious)...and the parental selections and resulting cross was made by Phillthy.

Both parents are documented on ICm in the stickies at the Stank Bros sub-forum...but it's (Chem D x Sour D IBL) x (SSH x Chem D IBL) - or - ChemSour x SSCDH - as Heady posted.

The seeds were given out probably around 2012 - and some people have finally dug in a sprouted them...and found some really nice keepers.

The name Lazy Lightning - as I was told - is because of the heavy zig-zags in her stems (which I often look for as a strong indicator for chem line influence), ie like lightning bolts - and as a Grateful Dead song tribute. *edit** The song Lazy Lightning is performed by Ratdog...so there is some what of a double meaning in that name...fwiw.** Her effects, Mega stated - remind him of an LSD trip.

Which he is not wrong in that regard. The cut is very potent. She will literally make your face/neck/shoulders numb. But her haze heritage does come through in the taste and high as well - which keeps your brain active and quite clear actually. I often felt like I was hanging from a string connected to the very center of my head...so she is quite heady as well.

However, the high is so...consuming...the next day, your brain feels like it needs to rewire itself a little bit. YOU KNOW you've just spent hours away from yourself...and your mind has to reconnect all the pieces and put them back in their proper places.

I would assume it is this aspect of her high that the LSD comparison is being made. It's not quite fair to say the plant is named after a drug or drug reference...because, it actually is not.

Long story short - it's some good herb. I've had the cut for about a year now I guess...but she is probably closer to 2 years old now. I think MeltingPot or MegaRawTen would know her exact age and when she was sprouted.

I just don't like the fact that IG is owned by FB...and I have no idea the levels of security provided by using it...or rather the lack thereof. I don't have a need to market my wares in any capacity, which is primarily what IG seems to be for...self promotion.

I think many people are drawn to the platform simply because of it being used by others and an attempt at staying current and in the loop.

I like ICm - simply because it is not one liners and quick quips - it's full on information. You can TEACH someone the craft here on these forums...I don't see that being the case on IG.

I'd much rather spend my time in a way that I know creates more growers vs telling me where to spend my money next. I'm somewhat bothered by the trend of people flocking to IG for this reason. I think it is reflective of the mindset of the up and coming growers. They think it has nothing to do with their skill set and methodologies practiced ... they only think they need a different strain / cut / seed line to magically make them better at the craft.

It just doesn't work that way...

good points df
ig seems short on actual content.... lots of marketing and product placement, cross promotion... promotion in general, self, promotion, self aggrandizing, etc.
i totally prefer icmag for so many different reasons.... so many.

love the strain info, it's cool how it seeds get made and it takes time for people to get around to popping them and finding keeper phenos...

IG being owned by facebook should be enough for people not to trust their freedom to it. No foreign based server with IG. I'm paranoid just leaving comments on IG, have never posted a pic there. Lurker status I suppose. Search online for IG busts and there are a bunch, many because of geotagging in the photos.

Also worthy of note...TopDawg has a new line called "Philly Skunk" which is P1 x Butter Skunk...

The P1 is a haze leaning sibling of the LL. The "Philly" bit is a tribute to the man who made the line P1 was found in...Phillthy.

The point being...the ChemSour x SSCDH seed line has put out some true champion plants.

love your knowledge bombs frank! your dedication to keeping the history of these forum based breeding projects accurate is a valuable contribution to the community. keep em coming!

IG is a strange place. definitely more about promotion and networking than learning anything. i find it frustrating that i can't easy search for old threads to reference. the biggest draw to ICMAG for me is research. all of you lovely people provide the data. IG can't offer that.

one thing that separates ICMAG for me is that it's a majority of growers. IG is just a billion smokers and a handful of growers.

i do find it fascinating to follow the large producers and auxillary businesses from the CA, CO, WA, and OR markets. they seem to be setting the trend for the rest of the country, and they are largely represented on IG. many of the US breeders and seedbanks promote their drops on IG now so if you are interested in buying seeds that seems to be the only way to get the word in time.

it's a med state privilege for sure. i never considered it in prohibition.
