truth be told It doesn’t matter to me all that much to be honest I’m growing this plant for some very specific reasons

I'm making it a point to not lab test any plants as I make my selections. I'm growing and breeding for myself, not for a lab, the only test equipment I need is my Volcano.

I have always thought it would be interesting to test all of my favorites and all of my least favorites and see if I could look at the tests and identify any patterns.

The numbers certainly have meaning. It is just that thc is not the whole picture. It's obvious that certain combinations or even lack of certain cannabinoid and terpenes are responsible for what smokers consider potent.

I have seen several people comment on how their 15% to 20% thc stuff gets them higher than the 20% to 30% stuff.

If you start looking into the different effect of terpenes and how they play with each other it gets easy to see how complicated the subject can get.

Too much myrcene and any strain gets that lethargic high. Pinene is usually associated with a clear head type high. Consider the list of potential combinations and that one compound might add to or pull from the effect of another.

I think someday..... eventually these ratios will be understood enough to get away from the thc and cbd labels and get some numbers more reflective of the effects.

@bigtacofarmer I agree.

By extension then the testing of those killer buds (terpene profile) would be a better blueprint for reproducing the “effect”

Yes it’s a someday maybe kind of thing but I think it’s very accurate and helpful. The grow over greed factor also looms large just mo

I just started some Headband x Sour Bubble. The Headband used in this cross looks identical to what's called 'Original Diesel' these days. If I'm not mistaken that's the same Headband that NotSoDog has.

Growing some Headband crosses now.(Headband x Headbanger) x (Headband x Headbanger) cross I did. Got a super cool oceany fresh thing with sour rubber fuel funk. I'm going to reveg this one....and the frostier plant is Headband x Headbanger this one's a nice intense tropical so far. Outdoor plant is a headband x Headbanger cross. Great outdoor plants nice big budsets
