I got the Albany, ECSD, Rez, a Sour from my Grandma, a variegated Original Diesel, J Trees cut of Original Diesel, and the Original Diesel passed as Daywrecker. I too am curious about the Headband bullshit as Headband I used to buy pounds of. I will throw some pictures up soon. I got a couple in flower now. Some are still pretty small. I'm running the Mass Super Skunk that was passed around the forums in the mid 2000's and just popped some DNL BX F2's from Top Dawg. I'm a bit obsessed with this gene pool....
Pretty sure the headband passed around here was from Cali connection seed. Rock hard buds. You could almost fit a qp in a mason jar. As with any of these legendary clones only varieties, I sure would like to smoke a sample.
I can tell you it fits the description of the information that I posted 100%… is extremely special …It’s definitely not the Daywrecker, I had that , this is much better and obviously it’s not sour diesel I’ve had that too ..
Which cuts the best out of all those you mentioned? Are any of them the same cut just relabeled?

I always thought AJ cut, chem 91 and this headband cut had more similarities between them then the chaco sour diesel.
I did some super sleuthing on this topic and this is what I came up with.
Apparently this cut came indirectly from member tacoma coma.

A cut my friend selected from seed....56 day Headband x not so dog Headband from Riot,grows very viney and profile is heavest diesel i've come accross,has a sour note in the backround too.....i'm in uk and have never grown any clone only diesel /og types but this cut is very very good...i really must get round to running her myself

What i always understood was that at some point in the 90's some holders of the og split in to 2 crews,one half moved to the bay area from LA (or vice versa) and were not supposed to have the og ,so they just remamed it Headband,so as not to encroach on the other crews market...thats where all the confusion could stem from because, that plant was og and not the original diesel/daywrecker aka Headband...could explain why loompas is more og leaning, as could be a s1 of the Headband that was infact og....pretty sure i heard that story on FCP and think the video is just called sour diesel from 2/3 years ago...its long like 3 or 4 hrs and most of the info came from that dude Mohave...
Correct. TC gave her to Chaco, who gave her to me before either losing or letting her go. Far as I know he never even got a run in.
I held her tight for a year or two before sharing with a few others, who apparently have been generous so now she's out there. This is the passage of hands for this particular cut. Where TC got her from I have no idea.

I thought the 707 was a selection from the seedline made by shar from 707 seedbank,gotta love the whole headband thing,probably one of the most confusing family of cuts out there lineage wise...dam theres a lot of different 'headbands' lol..... and what about the 2 cuts Riot used to make the plant i posted about as well,the 56 day headband and not so dogs headband..i've heard them talk about how they are both different to the 707 and loompas one,infact they said its certain that the loompa is just a very good og s1...tests very low on the thc comparably,like 16% i believe(not that that matters) but the other cuts that go around tagged headband are all way higher testing....

If I may.. is headband known for the occasional nanner or bag seed?
I found two in a dispensary bud and I believe this place only holds the better cuts of the strains they work with. So I'm considering popping and keeping an eye on.
