So let’s continue this thread and i will bring you up to date about the haze projects...
First i want to write down the history of the purple haze x panama #7 male:
I knew the php was one of best candidates to find a haze male that carries the traits i am after. So i flowered the 4 most promising males (after taking clones), to then outcross them and progeny test them.
As a mother for outcrossing i chose a skunk dominant local cut known as „die grüne hessin“. Not because i need yet another skunk x haze, but because i know what to expect of a skunk x haze cross. It seemed like a good choice for enabling me to judge the potential of the different males. here’s a pic of the mum:
The progeny of the 4 males differed a lot between each others. Male #5 produced hay(ze). Male #4 didn’t really come through in the cross, plants were more indica leaning than any of the other males, skunky terpene profiles (not sweet skunky, but stinking skunky). #3 and #7 produced the desired hazy expressions, with the #7 more defined and reliably, it was easy to choose #7 as a winner: his offspring really stood out and made me excited about future combinations with other mothers.
Turned out that the cut i chose for outcrossing is good for producing skunk buds, but it’s not a very good skunk to outcross, as it passes on undesirable traits. Yet the plants of the dgh x php #7 combination still were of very high quality (especially the hazy side) - all the more promising for me
In the following i will post pictures of the progeny test.
let's start with different phenos of "Die Grüne Hessin x (Purple Haze x Panama) #3"
