Really impressive. I have quite a few outback haze x north Vietnam males which need progeny testing if you'd like to breed with them. These guys reeeek hollow stems big pollen production could pull out some good stuff put to those or your possibly haze b nl clone u have
Hi,
Im not that into breeding, already many growers and breeders breed so many things. That I colud grow it for 3 lives if I head.
😉
I like doing selections and see genotipes which are in seeds....im more interested in genetics right now and traits of current strains and cultivara....thats why I will grow only "old strains" some time...i plan to grow maple leaf indica, shiva shanti and skunk kush from sensi also regs. And probably DutchP master kush and ww.

it’s real fun lol trying to wrestle them out of the bags
Sub, I do much the same, gradual shifting into larger pots to control hight. I use regular nursery pots though and it's not too much trouble transplanting because the rootballs are so solid and tight by the time I shift to the larger pot they slide right out if I let them go a little dry. I don't even take them out of the tent, just lift and transfer right in their spot into a larger pot, only takes a second if I have everything ready. At the most they get tilted when they are big to keep the top from hitting the light. I go from 3" or 5" to 1Gallon, to 2-3 gallon, to 5 gallon, sometimes as much as 7-10gallon for bigger buds. I don't pot up to the biggest pot till I see resin showing to decrease regrowth.
What is the advantage of using bags? Seems like the plant will get tossed around, possibly damaged, trying to get it off.
Hehe yea it’s real fun lol trying to wrestle them out of the bags hah! I’ve done it a lot though and I have strategy. Heh, I get the new pot ready and filled to accept it. Then lay it down in said pot resting it on its side and get it free of said pot. These are rather large though and I will get some help from my wife. I already top dressed.
Just saw , you have a method of dealing with it, that's great if it works for you.
Don't be afraid of regular pots though, roots get plenty of air and plants grow great in them, my rootballs are solid top to bottom. I've tried grobags in past years and did not like them, soil dries out and you get dry patches. For me watering is easier with nursery pots.
Whatever works though, your plants look good.

@RandyCalifornia
I like pots too! They slide right out. I have a mixture of bags and pots.
Could you elaborate on your living soil mix? Your plants are some of the very best I see posted. 🙏 it would be very helpful you seem to grow the same kind of weed too.

Sure, I'm an old dude with a bad back that likes only the best. At this point no need for production, just pure pleasure. I don't care how big my buds are, what color they are, how the leaves look, how long it takes, how it tastes , or how it smells. As long as the parents were good, I go in with somewhat of an open mind and make my judgments when it's truly finished, no rush. I have always said I like every grow to be an adventure and I'm always being surprised even after 50+ years of growing.
With that preamble, I keep it real simple and have always reused my soil it only gets better. Coco base, with a little native soil from my backyard and inoculants from different spots out in the woods around here and compost/worm castings. I raise a few worm boxes and they have all kinds of natural flora and fauna so I add some of that, I do not have fungus gnats or thrips because of all the natural predators in the castings. I feed the worms and stuff on the surface with a coffee/bokashi mix I make, they love it, but they kinda love everything I give em. I collect kelp, all different kinds from the beach and add some of that on the surface. Sometimes I get fruit from a natural foods store that they are dumping, I sometimes add a little fishbone meal or other amendments depending on what the plants are doing and also small amount of fish hydrolysate with watering. The worms are the ones doing all the work, I just add stuff on top, it's amazing how fast it breaks down.

liking the ghana, so the top one is the dead whale skunk haze? lol
Yes, guess that description stuck right? It came from a friend who tried his best for giving his best taken on her smell when we started growing it. It was a funny moment and so the dead whale description stuck around. In fact she is very pungent but nothing to do with death stuff, more like feces with a lill whiff of oranges or something. This when she is still growing in end fase, after chopping and curing she smells more like feces, catpiss and haze funk together. Pretty funky stuff.

I'm curious how different haze terps are or do they carry similarities with subtle differences?. How would you describe the aroma from the Haze you are growing?.

Hazes have savoury aromas.
2 most recognizible are spicy and herbaly hazes.

Spicy(woody, cinamom, meaty, leather, liver, hashy) soometimes spicy one have fruit undertone of mango/orange.

Herbaly (sage,rosemary,peppery,cardamom,chamomile/catpiss,chedar,pine) sometimes sharp lemon/lime to metalic smells undertone they have.

And all in between.

Spicy hazes while burn have frankeincense church smell.

Herbaly hazes while burn have camphor/sandalwood smell.

Jack I have right now is 70% spicy and 30% herbaly.
