What's really a Haze? To me the fact the Haze Bros called theirs "Original" suggests there were others even back then.

But to back up @herbgreen, based on what Oldtimer1 himself said the lines are different.

What is it? Probably seeds from Colombian import worked/reproduced in California (walks like a duck theorem).

I can’t vouch for it cause I wasn’t there but I do doubt that the “Haze Brothers” whoever they were branded their Haze as to be original. Back in that day it prolly got named Haze because its usage caused dreamy/Hazey states of awareness like feeling as being in dreams or yr mind feels like it’s in a Haze. Just my personal take on it. I know for a fact that the predecessors of the ‘60’s Hippie movement being the ‘50’s beatnik generation were the first white Americans that showed interest in getting high and so started to import quality seeds to San Francisco & Cali from Columbian and Mexican regions long before the Haze brothers came to play.
They gathered seeds from the best ganja they smoked while travelling through South & Middle America and brought these to Cali.
These courageous unknown individuals prolly were the “Haze” pioneers paving the way for the creation of what’s later became Haze being worked and selected by people that loved psychedelics and we now simply refer to as “Haze”
IMHO BOEL was also somehow connected or even emerged from the same crew, inspired by writers as Ginsberg, Kerouac & Burroughs in search for purpose & meaning to what we call life.
Could also be two different “groups” of passionates connecting. Then there’s my gutt feeling that BOEL maybe introduced Thai to add to the Haze via Vietnam vets that imported SEA genetics. Maybe the Haze brothers were just chuckers chucking Thai over Columbian/Mex cultivars creating “Original Haze”? Who’s to say…. we can only speculate within all giving info and logical sense and trying to catch that special magical vibe of yesteryear back from the 1950’s until today 2022 and prolly going mythical shit reaching 2100, haha
After America started the war on drugs things rapidly digressed which caused power struggles and personal shit resulting in SamS making his way with whatever was left of the so called “Haze brothers” legacy to the only place in the world that tolerated ganja, being Holland where over time it got reworked by various individuals for better and/or worse….
Just so extremely thankful we are all able to experience a good Haze, we all know why.
It’s something priceless we must embrace with respect & love and care.

Plopped seeds in water February 1st.
Solo cup to 1 gallon air pot to 2 gallon air pot flower initiated transplanted to 7 gallon air pot. They are dropping leaves just a little earlier than I’m comfortable with. I should have transplanted again into 20 or 30 gallon pots of loose living soil. An aside: when I used to grow a seedsman o. Haze cut I loved for years I would grow them big like this and always transplanted into larger than 7 gallon for sure as these are 8 foot plants when unbent lol. I think they will finish but I hate it when growth leaves start dying and creep into the buds. Yuck. It always seemed to me extreme sativa like these will take advantage of extra root space really far into flowering. Thoughts thanks
Basically do you think I should up pot, I do… like asap. But I appreciate all input!
They should have six weeks left.(I think 6)

Hard to say. If you have more than one maybe try to up pot with one and see how it reacts over the course of a few days before you bet the farm. Leaves look like they arent liking something from the rolled tips, soil might be too hot for them I'd suspect. Hopefully it wont affect the buds/resin. I had the same tips with the ammended soil. Much happier plants when I went back to hydro and even coco turned out very nice last time. I had a couple new Todd's that turned out very nice too.

I agree it’s too hot. I thought transplanting into a much larger pot with half strength soil that was good and porous maybe the roots might stretch. This mix was too hot for the o. Haze in flower and too much for the mm x thai78 it burnt its leaf tips too.

might try some top dress worm castings its a good buffer for hot nutes

I'd probably just try to dial in a compost tea or top dress to help them Coast across the finish line.

Hehe yea it’s real fun lol trying to wrestle them out of the bags hah! I’ve done it a lot though and I have strategy. Heh, I get the new pot ready and filled to accept it. Then lay it down in said pot resting it on its side and get it free of said pot. These are rather large though and I will get some help from my wife. I already top dressed. I really think an up pot would help. Thank you all for the advice
I have seen An up pot into proper soil do wonderful things before. Can sometimes save a plant if done in time.
