You guys that call me a denier, ( i really give two shits either way, i will be long dead before miami is turned into venice) why have so many scientists, professors, ngo's, and governments been caught tampering with, omitting or just flat out falsifying evidence that shows the earyh is actually in a cooling trend? If their theory is true, why the need to lie cheat and steal metaphorically? Or in the case of east anglia university really stealing grant monies.

Not to mention the climate monitoring stations i have personally seen at the dryden nasa base at edwards being placed in heat islands. Meaning south facing surrounded on three sides by 30 ft concrete walls. I had to survey the damn runway back that way, it was ten degrees hotter when i had to set my total station up in that heat island to get a proper survey done.

I even questioned our nasa chaperone about it, he laughed his ass off and said we all knew why. So do you.

if nothing else, we're all observers of climate, interesting how cantankerous a group we've become over the years
if you told someone, say 50 years ago, that the average person would be arguing climate
they'd have looked at you like you had 2 heads
my observation for the last 36 hours , a band of warm rain, 50f+ moved into upstate NY
i've seen warm before in the winter, but this was interesting
had about 18 packed inches of snow ice on the roof, stuff literally vanished over that time
never seen its like where i am

It was sincere. When a regular citizen gives an opinion on their local climate it carries more weight with a joe six pack like me than any university study. I hope you at least get to enjoy some warm weather. My friend in detroit is sure bitchin about the cold though.

I think he just wants his wife to let em move west....

lol...I read something from Mike Rowe that aligns with my thinking on the matter.

Mike Rowe said:
This is an important point. If I said I was skeptical that a supernatural being put us here on Earth, you’d be justified in calling me a “doubter of religion.” But if I said I was skeptical that manmade global warming was going to melt the icecaps, that doesn’t make me a “doubter of science.” Once upon a time, the best minds in science told us the Sun revolved around the Earth. They also told us the Earth was flat, and that a really bad fever could be cured by blood-letting. Happily, those beliefs were questioned by skeptical minds, and we moved forward. Science is a wonderful thing, and a critical thing. But without doubt, science doesn’t advance. Without skepticism, we have no reason to challenge the status quo.

and those who believe that Mike Rowe is a sellout artist.......

No offense...but wtf does that mean? How exactly has he sold out ? Links would be helpful.

To me..what he said is that science evolves...ideas or frames of thought change with new information...

Oh wait...I get it now...CNN said so. How could I be so dumb. It's just like Trump calling Shitholes...Shitholes. Makes perfect sense.

If we devalue countries whose people defecate in public, which we should, there are definitely $hith0le countries.

ideas or frames of thought change with new information...

And so it should always be...

As we learn and educate ourselves, gaining more information and facts surrounding any particular topic of debate a sort of psychological revolution happens within our own minds as what we once thought gets de-bunked and the new ideas and knowledge take over and become resident within the opinions you now have gained, making you all the wiser.

*As for vta's post above, informative as it is for those who have interest in where and how the world drops a load. From my experience of long bus journeys in Madagascar and Laos I got to realize that what communal defecating I saw was more about some farmer happy to have the muck spread in his field to help fertilize his soil. There were no public, or private conveniences to be able to complete any ablutions in at all, so you get directed to wander out into some field and hope that what you leave there gets put to some good use.

People must defecate in public inside our great nation's "rehabilitation" facilities.

They are also subject to rape and murder.

What a wonderful world.
