Carbon offset schemes aren't coming from scientists, who are just busy scienting, so I see little invested interest in a scientist saying human global warming exists. Carbon offset (and I confess I don't know a great deal) seems to me just a government response in a capitalist society, to solve a problem, create a market.
This surely is in contrast to an oil company deliberately trying to cover up or sway public opinion?
