........ I was surprised you didn't chime in sooner! ;) :whistling:

Attempting (once again) to practice my former true and (unfortunately) pushed asunder (due to pandemic anxiety);
personal approach to life, in general.
Goes; something, something... two eyes/ ears and one mouth... something, something or another... so... observe with humor. :D

Good science webcast with Vaccine Scientist Geert van den Bossche & Molecular Biologist Chris Martenson.

For those that think the experiment-called-a-vaccine protects you from Covid19 ... have a 3rd or 4th injection.

For the past several years, I’ve always received two flu shots, a few months apart, because i suspected that the jab’s protective abilities wore off before the end of flu season. I never expected the covid vaccine to provide infinite protection.

Gry wrote about this earlier, I thought he made sense what with logic and all.
If you have a vaccine that works, with negotiable or no side-effects, then yea, get the damn shit already!
I'll take a sore arm for two days over death any day.

But if you have a vaccine that kinda sorta works... Maybe, maybe not. Side-effect? Yea, you might get some, but who knows what..
Like I was reading a report from Israel, they have people that received 3 doses and still got infected with COVID. That's not a working vaccine, why would you get it?

Then you have morons that make this a political thing, because of course. The left commies want to control your life and stuff.
Idiot Trump sucking morons on the right won't take the vaccine because they are fucking idiots who bang their cousins and collect maga hats and rifles and bang their cousins. And yea I said bang twice, that's 'cause you can bang your cousin, and also bang your cousin. That's two different things.

Anyways, a vaccine is what most people talk about. But then there are like 4 or 5 different brands of them shits on the Western market. The Russians got their own, Chinese got one. Do they work?
I have no idea, they aren't approved to be sold on the Western market. Because they haven't been tested enough and there is no proof of them working..
Which is kinda weird because that Phizer and Astrazeneca stuff hasn't been tested and researched that much either, and them shits aren't working that well either.
Astrazeneca works 60% according to the manufacturer. According to the WHO, it's 50% working. I'm not impressed.
Phizer works 90% according to Phizer, but the WHO puts it at 50% working, too. Again, not impressed.

And yea the side-effects have been minimal and people who suffer from them are a very small minority. But then if it's 50/50 that the crap even works.. I'll wait for better stuff until I get one.

Then again there are reports that some people have had serious side-effects from the vaccines, but then you read all kindsa reports from people don't site sources or provide proof, so is that really true? Who knows? Not The WHO, they kinda suck. The health organization thing, The Who the band is great and RIP Pete Townsend.

Then you got absolute dimwits who lie about getting the vaccine, because that's sure to help! I mean that's the worst.
If you get a fake vaccine card, then you get the COVID and die. They cut you open and declare you died from COVID, but you were vaccinated according to your fake vaccine thing when really you lied about it. Then who's gonna believe the god damn vaccine works after that?

Take the vaccine, or don't. I ain't your boss or your mom, so I'm not dictating that. But don't lie about that shit, because how are they gonna determine if them vaccines actually work if you fake it!
Think about it, god damn it! And stop the political shit surrounding the vaccines. We are all in this together, there is no left and right. Only stupid fucking morons and cool people.
And morons, if they die, so be it. But if cool people die because of morons, that pisses me off!

On a more personal note, I don't like it when people talk about jabs and it's not boxing related.

And no, I didn't get vaccinated for COVID. Not because I don't believe in getting vaccinated, or for some weird political reason. But for facts, the stuff they have available now, it's not that reliable.
When it is, I'll take two just to be sure.

Oh and speaking of fucking absolute morons, there's a guy running for public office in Florida. Not gonna say his name and give him publicity, but I was reading his blog. Guy doesn't believe in COVID being real, isn't gonna have his 3 kids vaccinated against anything, and doesn't want to wear masks or his children to wear masks because it makes it easier for pedos to target kids because you know, the masks make it hard to tell which kid is which. And you can hide behind a mask. And you know that's what is keeping pedos in check is the lack of masks. No one told em about fake moustaches and them glasses with fake noses and thing. No, it's masks. Wear a mask and you're a pedo trying to hide, or you're enabling the pedos to fuck with kids.

And yea, that sounds dumb. It's because it is. I hope that guy gets a deadly virus, I don't care which one. Just get this dork off the planet and it will be a better place. He ended his bullshit write-up with Jesus stuff and praying. Which you know, that always works!

And I was like damn, I'd like to punch this guy. But then I'm prettty far from Florida, and he was kinda buff, too.. So he might beat me up if I start swinging at him.
But a guy can dream. Or, maybe take a baseball bat to the back of his head when he ain't looking. Should work.

Anywhooo, I'll take science over praying, if it's good science. If you want to throw in a prayer or two, prolly won't help, but won't hurt ya either. So have at it.

If you get hit with a baseball bat, you might have had it coming.

That quote there Gypsy, I like that one. It's one of those quotes you can modify to your liking and it's never gonna go outta fashion, so to speak.
One of my personal favourites used it, while speaking at the Oxford University Union debate as follows:

"I don’t believe in any form of unjustified extremism. But I believe that when a man is exercising extremism, a human being is exercising extremism, in defence of liberty for human beings, it’s no vice. And when one is moderate in the pursuit of justice for human beings, I say he’s a sinner.
And I might add in my conclusion, in fact, America is one of the best examples, when you read its history, about extremism. Ol’ Patrick Henry said “liberty of death” — That’s extremism.

I read once, passingly, about a man named Shakespeare. I only read about him passingly, but I remember one thing he wrote, that kind of moved me. He put it in the mouth of Hamlet, I think it was, who said “to be or not to be”. He was in doubt about something. Whether it was nobler, in the mind of man, to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune— moderation—or to take up arms against the sea of troubles and, by opposing, end them. And I go for that; if you take up arms you’ll end it, but if you sit around and wait for the one who is in power to make up his mind that he should end it, you’ll be waiting a long time. And in my opinion, the young generation of whites, blacks, browns, whatever else there is, you’re living at a time of extremism, a time of revolution, a time when there’s got to be a change, people in power have misused it, and now there has to be a change. And a better world has to be built and the only way it’s going to be built is with extreme methods. And I, for one, will joint in with anyone — don’t care what colour you are — as long as you want to change this miserable condition that exists on this earth.
Thank you."

His name was Malcom X, and the year was 1964. It's 2021 now, and it's still the same shit.

Colour me disappointed at you people. That's right I said it, YOU, FUCKING, PEOPLE!

And I'll throw in a disclaimer for the cool people there, not you people, it's those other mofos.

haven't heard anything (yet) about Moderna booster shots being needed. i know that its ability to fend off the virus wanes a bit after months, but all news says you are still pretty well protected from a bad case - hospitalizations etc- which was why i got it to start with. fuck, i don't mind being mildly ill. pneumonia & hospitalization/death sorta get on my nerves though, lol...

All virus vaccines do not prevent you from getting it, this is not how they work.. They prevent you from getting very sick. That is how they work. There is no cure for any viruses. Vaccines do not prevent transmission either. If you are waiting for a cure it will be a very long wait.

moderna has more hot sauce in the jab than pfizer, so it will take a little longer before the booster is needed - per Dr. Fauci. i guess everybody must have prophylaxis antibodies or we all die.

polio shot was one and done.

There is no cure for polio once you are infected.. The Polio vaccine after 2 doses is 90% effective, 3 bumps it to 100%.. A person is considered fully vaccinated after 4 doses. It was not 1 and done.

Children in the United States should get inactivated polio vaccine (IPV) to protect against polio, or poliomyelitis. They should get four doses total, with one dose at each of the following ages:
  • 2 months old
  • 4 months old
  • 6 through 18 months old
  • 4 through 6 years old

Delta is a lot more infectious and has a shorter incubation period than any of the other variants. It seems to be reproducing a lot faster too. It’s transmissibility rate is between 6-7, which is really a lot! [the regular flu is 2, chicken pox is 9-10]

I suspect the vaccines are working fine, but the virus is simply overwhelming your body’s ability to fight it off as quickly.
Vaccinated folk are still only five percent of the daily/weekly covid deaths in the US.

back in the day, when it was just rolled out (1954), it was just one shot. a sugar cube a year or two later - which i do not remember getting. uh, oh, maybe i was in the control group then, too.

No clue why there is so much distrust of this vaccine.. We all had mandatory vaccines or we couldn't attend school. My body my choice is BS.
