By going away I'm referring to back to normal business and not see people dying from it every day. If everyone is vaccinated I cant see it causing any issues on a large scale. .

I hope you are right,I just think mankind will wipe us out either by accident or purposely long before things such as climate change and other measures will ever be realized.Ive been waiting for something to get into our major city water systems for years , that will wipe out masses within days......hate to sound like a pessimist, but I think mankind is getting a bit too big for our britches. And theres some evil fuckers out there that would love to do shit like that.We are vulnerable more now than anytime in history, with the chemical & biological weapons,it's inevitable.

yeah, but the trumpers will all be "self edited" so a little prick to avoid giant assholes will be worth it!

To be honest the other nurses ,and staff I work with that are unvaccinated never bring up Trump or Biden when talking about their reasons for not getting the shot.I think you would be surprised how many doc's and nurses don't trust the CDC , and feel the CDC is more into the political agenda than the well being of people.Last I saw it was 25% of healthcare workers have not been vaccinated.
Just like Trump being elected, alot of people voted for him to thumb their nose at the government, now they are doing it in another way,by saying no to the vac.
Many dont trust our government on many different levels, and do not trust the agenda.

I don't participate in the talk at work,I'm to busy, and don't give two shits what others think or do.I got my Vacs for others safety, not my own as I didn't consider myself at high risk healthwise, and dont really obsess over whether I'm here or not.Ive been around awhile, and can't dwell on what I cant control anyhow.

Some stores have signs that read if you are fully vaccinated no mask required but I don't see how they can trust people to be honest about that. I will not risk my life or family so I will continue to wear my mask in any store. My risk is low but some are still getting sick after getting vaccinated, no reason to risk it.

yup. my family are all vaccinated, but i still find myself wearing one around other folks that i don't know. too old and too many risk factors to "trust" that the other folks not wearing masks are doing so because they were vaccinated.

They’re masking up again around here

We never stopped. It's second nature now.

I remember seeing Asians making up years ago and I always thought it was strange. Now I find myself forgetting I have it on until I'm driving away. On that note, I've going to have DimSum tonight, and I'm gonna love it. :D

that just seems extra moronic to me that anyone in health care wouldn't get the vax,as well as seriously unprofessional

It's just a short 3 day expulsion.. I admit it's not easy keeping quiet with so much BS getting posted. IMO it's caring enough to protect those around us to get vaccinated. If people can't see that, they're only thinking of themselves. It's the only way this pandemic is gonna go away.

In a nutshell!

Sweet Baby Jebus, 3 days, it was just a lil love tap, a slap on the paw. :shucks:

If the site owner and a Mod both show up, posters should be able to take the hint, one would think! ;)

Mother Nature historically has means by which She deals with excessive populations and the havoc they bring; pike and perch in the small kettle lakes we ice-fished as kids, would over-populate, and then we'd find them getting smaller and smaller, and then there'd be writhing worms between the flesh and the skin.. then fewer and fewer of them, until some sort of balance is/was restored.

Observations of a youngster, drinking cheap canned beer, smoking Colombian weed, and sitting on a 'hot seat' with a fishing line tied to his mittens, and no pole.. Earlier science stuff.

Come to mention it, I'm getting shorter now with each passing year.

But it's not just the incredibly angry with home science kits that can wreak havoc for us; there's plenty of tricks up Ma' Nature's sleeve, that no matter how we may flatter ourselves and our 'evolved intellects', She still manages to kick our asses on the regular. We just fool ourselves sometimes by telling ourselves we're bigger and badder than She is. Ego shit costs us hugely frequently.

OXFORD - A large UK study shows that the effectiveness of Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines diminishes over time.90 days after the second shot, the AstraZeneca vaccine is still 61 percent effective against infection with the coronavirus. The Pfizer vaccine is still 75 percent effective at that time.

This is the conclusion reached by researchers at the University of Oxford, who have examined more than three million nose and throat swabs. The effectiveness of the shots decreases over time, as previous research results showed that the AstraZeneca vaccine is 68 percent effective two weeks after the second shot. The Pfizer vaccine is currently 85 percent effective.

I'd seen a reference from Medscape re. the study, but it stated that peer review was still pending.

And there was some skepticism that Pfizer might be benefitting financially from echoing the study at this time, in pursuit of not only keeping us healthy from COVID-19, but the fact that they profited $3.1 Billion over the course of saving us from the Pandemic.

Whether the DoD, Big Pharma, or the Mortuary, there's always been a fair amount of jing to be made from the dead and dying.

As a former park ranger I agree with that assessment.

As a woman and former Hotel maid (among other jobs lending to the cleaning of said rest rooms), I too concur.

Side note:
Dang oh dang... it got pretty salty in the SC for a hot minute there.
I'm certainly glad to have not been involved this time around :)
