i do top, maby twice but i def super crop and some clones do just bush out like this. all my plants this season have been supercroped or toped oh and i achieved this GDP by nursing indoors in the growroom from feb(this yr from jan) and i put mother plants out just after mothers day -learned that from jackel. i learned to use larg pots and cut them away -if you read more you'll learn more (ive got 5 GDP this size planed for behind the shed this season) some grow bags im doubleing up from 30 to like 50 from grow organic.com -the cheep black nursery bags, their great but im trying to jerry rig them to accomidate more this year

i want to thank all the kind souls who gave insight and helped me through my learning curves, i would also thank jackel for that TGU cut that yealded enough to provide till our next indoor harvest even after they got a chunk from her -its all they left but we had over a pound of premature low-quality meds. i was thinking about geting into classes and i could do home work or extra online classes at night, outside while keeping it lit and secured on the property.
im going to cage some plants in the bags and maby the TGU on the side of the house, whats the right metal to use? i think i may pount a half dosen rebar poles into the top of the hill at the property line where they got in last year flanking from the neigbors yard, put some of the cage up theirs tied in with metal twists. i really dont like not haveing a fince and that i can be flanked from the high ground, i also dont like how folks are quick to pull firearms like a sissy -makes me want to dent my self from criminal attack but i gotta update myself on the local rules and regulations of firearms these days. its like yearday to me and next year ill know that anything could happen just like 6 months ago, the last 6months have been hard operating wtih a fraction the meds as were used to.
now out room is a pot jungle with 8 mothers for the long season and 4 starters for the next indoor crop, my timers are set on 9/15 and everything is still in veg im keeping it that way till they go out in may and they have been on 9hours off for 3 weeks or so -im used to 8 hours off,16 on. i couldnt find the 7gal flimsy pots(should of picked up some when i was traveling north) so i went with the 7-8gal pots from home depot, their thick but ive got sheet metal sheers to snip them apart and remove them peice by peice the slide them off of the saucer bottom. i cut them appart at the plating site or sometimes inside the hole after i dig it out a lot wider then the actual pot is, i actually get in their and pull the bottom of the pot out from under the root mass then slide the root mass into palse and re-fill, of course after measureing everything to dig just as deep as the pot/rootmass would be and haveing all the plants spaced properly.
im happy with the TGU MAUI and GDP but it good to find other flavors and gotta give props to harborside health center for haveing their twitter option and huge veriety of clones that refreshes from week to week, it seems they allways have something new and have my indoor game set through next year with dif flavors allready. i am looking for sativas mostly but hybrids are cool, my mom has said that sour diesel helps for sleep problems and pinaple c99 has helped her in the past. we only grow 4 plants a cycle indoors but im wroking on 4 dif cuts a time.
my mom is schedualed for her second knee replacement (other leg) april 15th so im not smokeing much at all to keep what meds we have left for her. and then i might have some left in may when i need it after hualing the jungle out and planting the trees. i was concerned last year cause i was schedualed to get hardwear removed from my elbow this spring and wouldnt have enough meds after takeing that loss, and knowing my mom was going to get her other leg worked on.. just knowing my mom was only going to have low quality meds was a bummer its better then not haveing any meds at all but just barly, its like mexican brick but taists better lol
i am one of the few people that find outdoor weed is much better then indoor but that just me and my meds, but i am and allways will be an outdoor cultivator. only thing is we dont have enough space for me to put out 12 huge mother plants, only 8 im cultivatng for my mom and dad but dont have enough wattage or space for 18 buding plants how i like to do them. indoors where limited to 1000+watts so ive got a 600hps and 400mh side by side, ill get picks up later but i removed the shell from my hydro hut and slid it up next to my flower area to accomidate for the 12 plants in 7-8gal pots. (probly start another thread for the new year) the stalks are allready as thick as cigars and very sturdy in the larg pots so things are good ONLY 5 weeks or so left.:plant grow:

it was hard being the tough man when im sufering in pain (cold wet weather is hell on the hardwear in my arm and back pain that i rarly get reduces me to tears add some axiety and depression and it was mizerable) its not the worst case senario, i still had hash i made fro the mor epainfull moments so i just ended up learning the hard way. i put more faith in the thought that no matter how bad thing have got or the situation im in our garden will provide and their is a way through the rain and good times on the other side -im learning that when it rains it poors and the caust of our freedoms and liberties is constant vigilance. i still feel the burn of anger just liek the burn of the pins through my elbow, 6 months form now it will be like the girls disapered yesterday. ill probly allways have this mind set, don't know if that healthy or not. i am pushing my mom to get a comfortable hadngun and regularly go to the fireing range, even after we harvest id like us all to sleep easy once its all taken inside. im more likely to favor something big or teflon coted that can got straight through armor cause sissies thease day are quick to pull pistols and look for vests and stuff to protect themselfs (drug hustlers are more likely to afford them)

i dont want any violations so im all about the rules and regulations, id hate to be in the position to defens myself first from attack from criminals then from prosecution because self defence turned into the offence (cypress hill lyrics lol)

-ive been thinking outside of the hydro hut lately removeing the skin and expanding its potenchal a bit, theonly down fall is not reflective sides but it works out fine. the plants are up on blocks bacause the metal par for the hts frame irright unter 4 of the pots -i neede to elivate them and allow for clearance from that matal bar across the floor.

im using 5ml biobiz grow with 10mlage old per gallon maby ill step it up to 15ml age old for the next few weeks, im using earth juice microblast every month just to keep proper nutrition (before they show signs of 'asking for it') i will start using ancient amber from roots organics when the plants are put outside, if you read the whole thread i talk about how i use it and that will be my reference as well.

dry soil amendments are perlite to make the old soil easier to work after removing most of the roots from lst season (i shake the rootball and slam it against the wheelbarrow to loosen the soil around te roots and take out some ive that has grown into the 16x4 foot row with a basket from longs grocery store [with the metal handles and a colander type application, not the cart but the hand basket] this is a long painful way about it but gets alot of roots out and returns the soil to its original state before the season started. i do this in he fall winter and spring before amending so ive got time blow on all that, keeps me busy and in shape) last season i mixed a 2.5cf bag of vermiculite in that row minuse a 3gal pot full for each grow bag which also had about a 3gal extra of perlite (happy frog and a 3cf bail of compost we get from navilets garden centers per the 1 grow bag the compost doesn’t have perlite so i added it) alfalfa and guano from e.b. stone in eaqual proportions at a 1/8 of a cup per cubic foot (my row behind the shed is 4x16 and i can work it 2ft deep so i used 16 cups, which would be a 1/4 cup per cubic foot if i could only work t down a cubic foot -thats too hot i think so when working in a part of the yard with heavy lava rock and lots of rocks i cant point threw even with a pick axe then so long as it drains well and is a nice area (working in perlite can help drainage when lava rocks are allredy their and is still slow to drain when to fill up a hole the size o a shovel load wich is how i originally look to see if the area is going to work out) like the spot TGU was growing on the corner of the house then ill work it only as deep as i can which is about a a shovel and a half deep instead if 2 shovels like in the row behind the shed. i would like to get this young mixer proportioner dial set to 100:1 for the first month and hen 75:1 for the season and work something into the irrigation system to accommodate for the early flushing of the faster yielding variety. im going to have 3 shrublers per plant and water by hand every 2-3 days to be sure the roots can reach out if they want to (watering by hand with a shower type sprayer from wall to wall outside of the normal reach of the shrublers to the perimeter where i want roots to grow, i hook a 50ft hose up to the young mixer proportioner tank after un screwing the 1/2inch~regular hose adapter for the standard 1/2 irrigation line to connect to the fertilizer tank. its all fairly simply just be sure to poke the 1/4inch tubing to the elbow,3 or 4 way connectors *before connecting them to the 1/2 main line cause that half inch main line connection must be perfect or it will leak and i just hate leaks so it means i have to fix that area like cutting it off ad using a connecting peace and re-connect the 1/4 inch toobing proper like. also its important to leave the end of the 1/2 inch open to let the air out and will the line with only water before closing the end with the clap things, turn the M/P dial off so you don’t waist nutrient while you do that.

i am useing the same ancient amber i use last year and ill use a quart of microblast to start off, with 2 cups biobizz grow per gallon of ageold grow/bloom. last year i used it with good results i think, its a little spendy but the K help build strong stalks and branches, natural sugars help the biology in the soil and i use it with the indoor crops so i want to see how it does with the outdoor crops. (last year i used it more because i ran out but then added a bit to the age old after it arrived from humboltd hydroponics , this year i will try to get ahead of that and order the 2.5gallons more often -humboltd hydroponics.com is where i get most of my stuff besides the soluble root enhancer in 12ox or 5lb sizes from horticultursource.com really the only stuff i source locally are ancient amber, ebstone amendments and dr earth starter, perlite and vermiculite soil and compost. i used to find kelp meal local but now i dont so i can only get it from dr earth starter fertilizer or vermicrop amend -wich i also source locally and will use as a substitute for kelp meal(last year about june or early july i would move back the larg/medium chunks of western bark i got from ace and applied a few handfulls of a blend of equal parts e.b. stone guano, kelp meal, and alfalfa meal mixed with some fresh soil and the scratched into the rootzone which typically grows right up to the underside of the wood chip mulch. this year i will have to use the varmicrop organics amend instead of kelp meal in that mix wich is only applied a foot or so from the stalks about the size of the basin i make fo each plant, even though i use shrublers i like to make a basin for the plants and burry al the irrigation lines in the dirt under the mulch so i dont tear i up which im in their crawling under and between the girls)

this season i mixed the soil early for the grow bags adding 5cf of perlite to well over 200gal of dirt intended for 5 veggies in like 30and 40 gallon grow bags and 2 ganja plants in 40-50 gallon grow bags. i will be feeding my veggies some of the age old this year and see if they like it, maby the biogrow blend even.

I originally got 150$ worth of ocean forest 3-4years ago then last year i was looking around at dif soil at dif laces and found kellog soil at home depot (always look at ingrediance, compare to happy frog or ocean forest, i like ocean forest cause the dif things but kellog at 3cf bags for allmost the price of 1.5cf bag of ocean forest, when im looking for bulk and quality im picky but went with kellog from home depot for the row happy frog went well with added nevelets compost and ace compost (their dif composites, ace is more sandy loam and navilets super compost still had wood peices you can feel but its still good stuff i think. this year i don’t need allot of bulk so i will only amend the row and add 4 -1cf bags of vermicrop amend to the row, 2 bags for the mix for the 2 grow bags (wich already have navilets compost) then 2 bags for the plot on the corner of the house which i already spread a 3cf bag of navilets compost. i may add more perlite to the grow bag mix depending on how many bags of vermicrop amend i will use to add some more bulk, im creating larger grow bags out of 2 30 gallon grow bags 1 cut up to fit inside the other and so it holds 50 rather then 30 gallons and still is only 2ft wide -instead of being 18inches high or whatever they are i will have 2ft tall 2ft wide growbags from http://www.groworganic.com/search.html?pCommand=DoSearch&pMode=Search&sText=grow%20bags&sCategory=catalog -incase you haven’t caught on im a thrifty grower and like to go the cheapest possible bit not one bit cheaper ~still source the highest quality i can for my dollar , if i had more cash in years past i would have gone wth happy frog or ocean forest
-probly a bland of the 2 with dr earth starter to be honest, my indoor soil mix @ a cup per cubic foot is probly all right for the first season amending the soil for the first time. im in the multiple season range so ive got alot of residual nutrition from last years liquid and solid fertilizers (i could only imagine their residual left, so i go lighter then when i mix the fresh indoor soil for pots that need all the nutrition i can provide)

i wouldn’t use the young mixer proportioner with earth juice nutrients other then microblast -i just wouldn’t recommend any fertilizers for that that arn’t fully liquid, and the only fertilizer I would ever recommend it one im still using AGE OLD grow/bloom the biobizz grow i mix with a gallon of ageold first then poor in the tank. (for an idea of prices 2.5gallon of ageold is 65 bucks and a 5liter of biobizz grow is the exact same -so biobizz is expensive stuff, so ill use it sparingly like maybe a cup per gallon then 2 later in the season when plants are larger and more demanding. I go threw about 3+ gallons a month and when it was set to 75:1 or higher it seemed like a gallon a week. I was adding a quart of ancient amber about once a month think, not every time I re-filled the tank and maybe as often as id add microblast (1cup -2cups around late july) if you read further back I talk about how long and at hat time of day I set the timer to, and I check up on the sprayers every other day to make sure their working properly and all the plants are getting some lovin also have to be sure to re-set things after watering by hand but its just a responsibility that whenever I work on the irrigation or crawl under the plants I need to check and see it work proper afterward.

this is a correction and more of a note to self, i added a quart of liquid karma dumped into the 2gal youg tank in late *May or early June i did that in '08 and '09. next year i will buy some of the 12-15gallon growbags with sturdy handels and use thoes cause i can cut them much easier, or seriously look around for the thin and flimsy 10 gallon pots -they dont need to be filled all they way but i dont think 5gallon pots are enough, the TGU i cloned in jan is looking liek she wants a new home sooner then later -i only gave her a 5gallon squat (short, wide) pot cause i didnt want her overgrowing the vegg area but she could be happier like the others. ive got sheet metal sheers waiting to cut threw thoes pots and around the bases and i bet most are neer full of roots so it wont collapst after takeing away the side peices-the maui i had last year was in a slightly larger pot but the same thickness and type plastic but was full of roots -not rootbound liek the granddaddies where in 5's.

you shouldnt have to cut ur pots apart, or ur bags for that matter. just flip em upside down and beat the bottom till u can pull the plant out. or squeeze the sides real well.

these are larger then 5gallon pots, even the 5 gallon squat pots i used last year i cut apart to reduce stress on the stalk-root point that could snap or fracture -the larger plants that are allready grown up to my belly or chest probly by may i cant really hold the plant wit hone are and tap it out (i could with a smaller pot) i just dont want to casue stress, i want these bitches to hit the ground running at a minimum of 3ftof stalk and plant -i hevent measured anything yet. part of my thing is cuting the paots away fromt eh roots and gently lowering them or lifting into grow bag in the case this year, ive also dug larger holes so i could get in their and cut it apart rotating it and remouving side peices then the bottom plate. i can lift 5 gallon pots upside down but i dont like to, hell ive cut apart sturdy-thick 3 gallon pots cause the plants where really big and needed transplant but i wanted to reduce stress and limit any damage. i might do man handeling it plus ive got limitations with one arm so i dont want to cause stress on myself with such larg plants/heavy pots. i know some roots will be cut but the stalk will be solid to the root mass and im affraid that a 3-4ft plant in a heavy ass pot i cant controle would snap, so i plant them like trees.

i have to lug them down could set of stars straped onto dollies and this is done slowly and carefully to avoid breaking that point where the stalks meets the soil, just move plants around and haveing them sway back and forth or if their alot of wind when i put them out and i dont stake them up i might have stress at that area of the stalk.

i think its easiest with 7-10gal pots to just cut them apart once their packed with roots, several months. then the only work is lifting or lowering the plant and trying to keep it level without swaying back and forth-gently and slow.

thats an important thing i did last season i think, besides layering thick chunk mulch over the soil layer and basen for each plant. i lay mulch out several feet and right up to the stalks, they really get down to buisness and are less effected by the heat of may (was 100f when i put plants out last year lol)

if you lookcarfully ive cut off the brim 'rings' from the tops of the pots of the outdoor nursery plants, it would be impossable allmost to cut them off now or when i go to cut the pots apart outside -without stressing the plants.

ive taken alot of leafs in waves about 3-4 weeks apart and i will keep this up through the outdoor season, some larger nodes up top dont need the leaf thats blocking lower potenchal.

the plants have grown up to the fan in the mittle and the maui had grown with in less then a hands length from the glass for our 600w hps. the og kush from blue sky/oaksterdam nursery had grown the most i think because it wasnt shaded out as much by our maui, GDP and purple kush. ive had to raise the lamps up onto the bars of the hydro hut mini frame and the plants are huge, maui is the tallest at a few inches shy of 4ft from the top of the pot.
i am going to put more plants out after talking to and geting the OK from my folks, might have to run 2 cycles to keep the water preasure right for like 18 shrublers per 15min cycle. im thinking about like 17 and 13 dif cuts

wow, thats so incredibly ass. fuck man i read through the entire thread - started to feel like i was your neighbor while u explained your garden. and then bam rippers. im pissed. get a dog, one of the two strikes dogs from the pound. plenty of abandoned pits out there (pits are great pets) do a search on bandogge too= half pit half mastiff. also im no where near your level (yet) but try diluted organic 1% milk for that mildew - saved my ass for real. it didnt turn my pistils brown either, like this k+neem crap did and it actually works.View Image
