nice attitude for next year...GROW BIGGER AND BETTER...with the added security ...its the way to go...
....still havnt done it myself...but i want to get a couple of recording cameras around the place to see whats happening outside while im inside or away from the house...thats goes for cops and thieves watching the house.HH. =]-~

So sorry bro. I have been there too and I feel your pain and anger. Try to not let it cloud your best judgment. Things could always have been worse. At least you are safe and all they took were the plants. You will live to plant another day.

I agree, and next year I think you should consider that strategy beer batter, especially when it gets close to harvest.
I think that as long as their is a black market for ganja the value is going to stay so inflated that huge trees like yours looks like a giant pile of cash sitting behind your shed, and for the more despicable people that walk this earth the temptation to steal it is too great.
Still, props on your growing skills man. I learned some from this thread- going to try foliar feeding and maybe give Age Old a try too, the borax in it seems weird to me- but who could argue with your results, inspiring trees.
I'll never understand how people can be too lazy/stupid to grow their own.

we could go and wake up a sleepy suberb at 2am like its the wild west- who's to blame if i come out w/a pistol and didnt start taping till i was met with lethel force, i say wild west cause folks are trigger happy and stupid in the bay area. if i put some one down id catch a case and they would see all the marijuana like -thats outa compliance. id have to think about this stuff befor even steping outside with a metal bat, chainsaw, pistol grip shotty.. cops dont understand this is an annual supply and though theirs good plant numbers 2 patients cant legaly hold 4-6 lb's. i also dont want to connect the medical marijuana arena with violent crime, it seems our local governments are connecting this for us seting prohabition in city code against coops and buying local, haveing safe access.
its a sign of the times, prohabition 13 years after voters passed 215 cities follow fed law blatently in the face of state health and safty codes/laws and public safty, tax revenue, safe access of vital medication are jeprodised and disregarded by local government.

i was looking at ingredients for some other nutrient brands, i forget which it was but it was organic and also contained borax -i also added some of their kelp from time to time and added the ancient amber to age old as well as foliar use finally some earth juice micro blast late in sept to encurage health (i add raw nutrients to a 2gal young m/p mixer set @75:1 15min a day). a few props ill throw out to dr earth starter fertilizer - i cultivated that into the soil along with vermiculite and a lot of other things, a lot of compost from the local nursery we had put in perlite last year so i only added it to the grow bag -we used vermiculite for water retention this year even though i haven’t been shy about irrigation.. the dr earth starter has direction for a liquid 'tea' and i use that as well as down to earth soluble root enhancer (when it comes to soluble mycorrhizae down to earth has the most value, $20 for 12 ounces or $90+ for 5lb's @ horticulture source.com -compared to AN or most other soluble myco plus down to earth has got 40% humic acid -which helps cycle nutrients in the soil, fulvic acid works thought the plant tissues that’s why ancient amber is beneficial i believe)
Edit; Earthjucie Microblast has borax aswell -the only micro ill use now, its cheep and as effective as the stuff from biobizz -just as organic i think their both OMRI anyhow

wow, thats so incredibly ass. fuck man i read through the entire thread - started to feel like i was your neighbor while u explained your garden. and then bam rippers. im pissed. get a dog, one of the two strikes dogs from the pound. plenty of abandoned pits out there (pits are great pets) do a search on bandogge too= half pit half mastiff. also im no where near your level (yet) but try diluted organic 1% milk for that mildew - saved my ass for real. it didnt turn my pistils brown either, like this k+neem crap did and it actually works.
you probably need a dog like that to protect you.

Strains for this coming year are already veging in 2gal pots except for the Tgu in 1gal. i started them in jan this yr, picked up a Purple Erkle in a 2gal that’s huge from a good buddy who got her from Good Karma out in Lucerne they kept it as Purple Kush but the leafs don’t look much like kush at all an allot like Erkle which my partner had experience with -i read that purple kush has got huge leafs though also its breed from erkle. so its a Purple Kush from Good Karma with like 20 nodes to branchout, ive toped all but the Maui and Tgu which i plan on toping at a later time. i wanted to increas the branching and width of the initial set of the GDP cause im devoting that entire 4ft x 15ft row to 4 GDP's the other Purple from Good Karma is going in a doubled up 30gal grow bag (ive already made 1 and its 24inches tall and 24 inches wide holds probably 50gal or 7-8cf its a grow bag with the bottom cut out layer into a 3/4 full grow bag and filled up to the top -its a sturdy deal, wont tilt or anything but adds 2ft to the height) another option i have for her is building a bed 3ft x 3ft and 1.5-2ftdeep to hold a maximum of 18cubic feet or around 130 gallons.
i have a rodent problem so i am putting cage down in the perimeter of the row to prevent burrowing into the root bed. the grow bag i was gunna wrap in cage a foot or so up and put some across the bottom, but i had an idea from jackel last year that i could put the cage under the bed at least for that other Purple. all 4 GDP's have 10-12nodes and all purps have healthy lower branching already, and are good size. as soon as our sog is harvested and i clean that up we will have a 600w hps and 400mh side by side veging these 7 plants till may10 (i have fluorescents that will propagate clones and keep other genetics for indoors may 11th) im putting the Maui in a doubled up 30gal grow bag (50gal or so) in a new area that should still work out. its on a brick walk way but im lifting it on cinderblocks and an flat rock/concrete slab to preserve the buity of those bricks. i plan to mix dirt for ganja that’s not in the ground aswell as the veggies that i grow on the pad next to the house, but its so much ill have to mix it all the same -i do tomatoes 1 per 30 gallon and Anaheim peppers 6 per 30 gallon bell peppers 4 per 30 gallon. this dirt is re-used from last years veggies so ill have to put some love into it, im looking for a liquid soil builder product but i think ill trust the probiotics in dr earth starter fertilizer to eh soil right -lots of compost from local nursery.

Im stepping up game this year more vigilance and more security -probably a few cameras, i plan on snapping pic’s of license plates and shit as much i can. we live out the way of the community so anybody driving by us either lives hear, worked on a house hear, knows someone that works hear or is a city worker that works around hear (theirs a drainage canal made from concrete above our property and i found 3 city workers or from the water company just above where the crop was -just a month after we were robed, i was thinking did they come by a month earlier and told themselves they would come back in a month? i had no idea that was city/water company property between me and my neighbors property but it seems they are in charge of making sure its not clogged before the rains come (i assumed that’s why they where here when it was sprinkling an i was smoking a spill on the back porch) -too many things i had no idea about to be getting drunk before i pulled my crop down.

i actually talked to the family about building a kennel and buying a dog for that purpose or at least to bark like hell when someone’s trespassing -our neighbors dogs bark all day and sleep all night for daytime security or something imagine that bull shit.
oh i was talking a a friend in security and they have laser been sensors now that work more foolproof then motion sensors i was told, i though about running wire into the house and connecting an alarm system. Lights are out of the question to protect the photoperiod but i would run it to a flashing light and alarm indoors or something.

yea that sucks man those were monsters. all the time and effort put into that and somebody just steals it from you. I was ripped bad last year they got me for everything at my best spot. its a sickening feeling walking out and seeing everything missing.
sorry that happened to you aswell. i would definitely beef up security. one or two gaurd dogs, german shepards, rottweilers, pitbulls, mastiffs or dobermans are all good choices.
maybe try and keep the height of some of those beasts down too might help? best wishes bro

putting the metal mesh under the plants is the best thing to do. u cant go wrong with it ever. U might also consider making some fence cages to put around those ladies. will help keep branches from breaking.
