Got the HH deluxe set up.
love the access from all sides.
i really liked the looks of the hydrofarm habitat
(looked like the bought the budbox line?)
but alas local shop carries the HYdro hut line.
got a filter off of ebay from foothill filters
it sounded good with good customer feedback and the price was right
($105 + some shipping for a 12# filter which the say is good for 350 - 450 cfm
that would clear my hut out every 40 second or so)
if i start to smell anything ill run out to get a brand name one

im running through the filter and then through two 600 cool tubes
through 6" ducting,
then out the top, through some swiss 600cfm blower (with adjustment)
and out of the room..

gotta get back to work . i wanna start a diary today or tomorrow

Nice... Hey Sammet did you have to cut new holes for the vents or is that the original hole for the intake?

Thats the passive intake (just the regular 6" hole in the budbox), just got the bit of ducting in there so the fresh air comes in by the base of the plants. No huts were hurt in the making of this grow.

The exhaust is through the top and through the ceiling and 2 floors of house and into the attic

LOL those are from my autopot system thing which i never set up, use them for the drainage, check out my thread if you wanna know more about the setup..

to the people who are running 3x600w or 2x1000w in a deluxe, what are you using to cool them with???


how does this setup sound?? ambient temps around 70 atleast until summer than will install AC but 3 x 600w lumatek digital in cool tubes, air sucked (70 degree) from outside cab through 3 cool tubes and vent through a can66 into a seperate room

odor is controlled by 449cfm fan - 6 inch can66 vented into same room as HHdeluxe but if heat becomes an issue i can vent into another room aswell

anyone see any problems with this?? thanks

no one running deluxe these days?? no real stories if people are able to cool 1800-2k

I run two 1KW HPS with 6" vented hoods and a 6" Vortex, and my temps stay great. I had to run an AC in the summer for about 2 months, but I would have had to do that with or without the HydroHut. It's 4'x8', that's a "4x4" for each thousand watter, pretty standard really.

got a response from hydrohut regarding discontinueing the hydrohut

we are not discontinuing the Huts. We are experiencing a problem in about 2-5% of the Huts that we haven't yet figured out. If someone experiences this problem, a yellowing of leaves in a particular manner, we are replacing the Hut.

Just for any HydroHut owners out there that might not have heard, there seems to be a problem with some of the deluxe models:

Have a read through this thread and check your HH for any rust and stay safe

There appears to be no problem with HomeBox or BudBox tents so far.

Yes, I have been having a lot of yellowing for months now. I already sent an email, hopefully they square this away for me.

p.s. Mysticls, I use a 6"Vortex fan connected to a Can50 carbon scrubber to kill the odor, is this what you mean?
