GROW TENTS !!!!!!!!!

Anyone thinking of getting a tent are getting it because it suit their situation. Yes u can build your own room , but buying a tent is more convenient to some people . Tent can be put up and taken down in half an hour with no tell tale signs of growing . ie land lord want to inspect the home or what ever situation comes along . As far as theses people saying DON'T buy in china . GO FCUK YOUR SELFS . Most if not all the grow tents are made in china ie Homebox Budbox, Hydrohut, green room only difference is the RIP OFF PRICES here in europe and usa . Up to 10 times the price in China, Granted you cant buy only 1 but its a second choice you have . I bought my homebox in england after much haggling and googling for 100 pounds sterling($200usd) which was cheapest i could find, and it was off a hydro store that i bought all my equipment , some stores wanted up to 300 sterling(about $600us). Pricing in china is about $48usd about 24 pound sterling . I see it was a hydro store doing the complaining "I WONDER WHY :violin: :pointlaug ? . I wonder were their tents come from ... LOL

Great shot Sammet!

I finally got around to taking some shots of the babies in veg.
10 are 21 days, 2 are at 16 days.
6 each of Aurora Indica and Blue Mystic. The AI are looking amazing so far. I have some of the large leaves bent to allow the lower buds to get a few days of light.

Ill take them out of the tent when I take shots next time.

Are you talking about the HydroHut "mini"? That is the one that is 39"(1 meter) square and 6.5 feet tall. Thats the model I have. You'll like it. Just keep in mind that depending on growing style, lighting, and ventilation, etc. plant height is limited to about 48" max. I just transplanted my haze hybrids and they can get to 46" before I will have problems. They are in those 3 gallon black nursery type pots.

If you are SCROGin or like to do a lot of LST, then you'll have no problems.

And I recommend you get 2 of the flange kits. They make attaching you ducting really easy and secure, and light tight. They are well worth the expense IMO.

Good luck!!

Hey Icmag , the name is Drymouth, and this is my Hydro Hut /grow tent.. let’s see what’s cooking in the grow ten! I got 2 4x8 Hydro Huts one for mothers and clone and the other for flowering here goes a picture of the 2 rooms in action

I think air-cooled in the, Hydro hut is important as the heat will jump quickly with out it. But, if you got a thing like the hydro hut (which is basically just a little room with in a room) you got to vent the hot air from the Hydro hut out of the main room the hut is in! Or you will be just sucking that hot air back into the hut…. This was a big problem for me as there was no way I could do all that in a garage, so this is what I came up with

As you could see I got both my exhaust from both rooms plus the air-cooled exhaust all tied into my main 12inch existing original duct work to the house.
as you could see I got 1 800cfm Ecoplus for the main mommy/clone room,( I think this is over kill) I had to make new holes in the hut’s and position them in the right place to get everything to line up. I got my 150 Hurricane exhaust for the air-cooled feature in the veg room. it use to be a flower room with 2 1000w lights before it was a veg room, now I got 2 400w MH in there plus 1 of those 4’x2’ florescent lights , and a 200w hanging cfl .

Here goes my mother plant all Sr-71 strains Hyndu kush x Skunk#1,Bubble gum, Purple Kush, and to kush crosses made by my friend Here goes my flower room I got a 4x8 growtech black table on buckets. Note: Botanicare tables will not fit in the hydro hut! But from what I’ve heard botanicare is coming out with a table to complement the hut so the tables could fit in them? I got a 115gal botanicare res under the tray ( it barley fit under there! ) but the bigger the res the easier it is to control ph which I’m finding to be true as my ph barley even moves, even after topping up the water with about 70gallosn it barley moves! 32 6L square white pots with two ¼” dripper lines per pot with a 950gph maxi water pump moving the water, plus a Rio 2100 water pump circulating the water at all times.
Check it out….

With the amount of wattage that most people throw in there, you really don't want plants that are taller than 48".

Nice shots drymouth, welcome to ICmag too

My XL is running nicely now with the acoustic ducting and larger fan, temps sitting in the low 80's. Nice and quiet :D

only 48" plant height? it seems like 6.5 ft. is plenty to allow for more plant height.

You have to allow for the pot height, allow room for the light, and the space between light and canopy. So you are NOT going to have much over 48" for growth in the hydrohut mini.

That is true.

I just have a 400W light and cooling is no problem for me. I don't even have air through my light...and I exhaust into the same room. Never had anything close to a heat issue in spring/fall/winter. I even grew this summer in it. I just had a fan blowing out the doorway of the bedroom the hut was in.

question: does that mean you have to flower out clones right away, especially if they are sativa leaning plants? i want to account for stretch and still have enough room to work with. how close could you get a 600 if it is aircooled with a canfan? also, what size pots would be good to use in such a scenario. i would like 16 plants in there.

Right now I'm running 16 plants under a 600w on a 3x3 table, and most of them are Western Winds. I just gave them little veg time and topped them. I keep the lights less than a foot away from the top of the canopy, using an air-cooled 600w.

I could easily get away with 1 gallon pots, but went with 2 gallons because I already had pots of reused medium from the previous run. Just tore the stump out and put new clones in the cavity.
