The fan brace that came w/ my HH is worthless, plus it's on the opposite end from where the exhaust port is.
kindred1, the mini doesn't have exhaust ports on the side? Good luck getting operational! I'm digging my Hut alot, $ well spent.

I used the horizontal brackets bent slightly inward and it fit perfect. Ill get some pics up asap.

Im testing temps now. the closet is ac cooled in the summer, so i think ill be ok.

I'm currently setting up my hut as well. I have a 430 cfm fan hooked up to a can 66 and a 630 cfm fan cooling the light independently. I'm sure it will be overkill but it'll probably work.

from what i've read, it seems like to run a 1k in a 4x4 hut in any kind of climate that ever gets warm, you really need an independent cooltube (i.e. not scrubber>cooltube>fan but instead intake duct>cooltube>fan>out along with main space venting to scrubber>fan>out

what is everyone's take on this?

It seems that with ambient temps at 65-70*F, probably just one stanley blower could keep a 1k just cool enough, but with such a small space, i think id set up 2 stanleys (i like how cheap and efficient they are) with one pushing through 6" ducting into my 40 Lb eco scrubber and the other blower pulling through a cooltube with the mod to let the blower pull air from just one side.

opinions? whats bad about that idea? im considering a hydrohut in my future and im trying to figure out if its doable/planning out costs, etc

from what i read you do need 2 of the fans, one for the cooltube/light and one for the carbon filter. however in the summer i have it hard to believe it will still cool down unless you have an a/c in teh room.

i was gonna go with the 1k but its only a 15amp circuit and wouldnt have enough power to run an A/c in the summer.

Just got a new mini budbox. It's 75cm x 75cm x 100cm and is going to be my new seedling/clone/mum tent. 200W blue Envirolight (+250W blue envirolight hanging vertically at the side). Currently growing Oasis, Green Spirit, Cheese and Sweet Tooth.

Thats the budbox XL behind it with a 600W cooltube.

just ordered a homebox original...plan on growing with a 400w conversion mh/hps!!! hopefully mine will be as successful as some i have seen in this thread

I am wondering since the Sun Hut 4x4 is like $150 shipped... is the Hydro Hut built stronger?

Never seen or heard of the sun hut mate. if you did take the tme to read it ALL and i know there is loads to read , you will of found out most ppl are happy with what ever tent they have , price for theses huts is a rip off, i can buy themin china from manufactures for about $40 in england there like $300 to $400 . just shows you the ripp off they are. i have a contact with manufactures in china but you really need to order at least 10 of them say you need them as samples to see how they go , shouldnt be a problem as thats what i was going to do and sell them on ebay , but i have too much on to be getting in to tht.send me a prive message and i will give you email for china contact if you want.

Sounds like they have found a new supplier who is supplying them with cheaper tents! Like it's not rocket science is it ? They are making up to 10 times the price they are paying suppliers.

Im trying to get my tent within the next week, i dont really care which company i go with, i just cant figure out which one i want. a 3x3 is sounding nice, but im not sure if it can hold 9 plants that are flowering? i want to run a 400 watt light and try to have a perpetual harvest going. my plan is to start with 3, then in 3 weeks add 3 more in there, then 3 weeks later 3 more in. Until i get to where every 3 weeks im pulling 3 plants and putting 3 new in to flower. Why 3 plants at a time? Im estimating that my roomate and i's smoking habit is about a 1.5- 2 ounces a month EACH, so this should accomodate our habit. would the HH original be a better fit for this?
