reeferdan ~ my buddy and i just copped the 4 x 4 hydrohut. pretty sure they are not toxic. metal and fabric only, so i don't know what would be toxic. maybe if you tried to eat some of the parts... so far my buddy says it is pretty hard to get the fabric on the hut and we bought it from a hydro store as well and came with no instructions.

marley1 ~ off topic, but where are you on halo? i will probably be buying the small hut HTG has to offer. not too worried about not coming with straps for fan/filter. comes with the 4" flanges too!

That sucks! If you still haven't gotten it, let the cover sit in the sun for a bit.
Someone mentioned this earlier here, good tip!

Unzip it completely. put frame within base, then work it up the backside and over, alternating sides. I had abdominal surgery 10 days prior, it was a bitch for me! Good luck!

a 4x4 hut with 1000 watter gonna be sufficient to pull ~lb?

will a Stanley blower in the 4x4 hut be enough to cool that 1000 watter?

you could pull 2 elbows off that. stanley blower's can cool 2 1000's, almost 3. my buddy and i just got the 4 x 4 with a 600 and if done right, can produce an elbow. word up son!

i read in the stanley thread that they can cool 2, i had some doubts cause i didn't see any being used in huts. dunno if i can control temp in a small room.

i was thinking about it today and thought about perpetual harvest, maybe 16 plants 1 gallon containers, start 4, start the next 4 with 2 week of veg, and then into 1gallon for flower? dunno, whats a better way to grow? i'd probably lst as much as possible

would that be able to pull an elbow? and what size carbon filter? like 12lbs work?

finally got all of my equipment to my home. I setup my HydroHut Mini, very easy to construct. The vented closet is perfect, I will be cutting a exhaust hole in the ceiling asap.

Could some of you guys help out and post pics of your light/fan/filter setups?

I have the "ELF" filter, vortex inline and a 400 HPS Super Sun Grow light. Anyone have a few pics to help me out? thanks, I appreciate it!

guys im still confused if the 4x4 hut with a 1k aircooled and the 400ish cfm vortex will be able to be cooled properly. its about half responses that ive read say its find and others say it gets to hot.

does anyone have some inputs.

my budbox is the same size. I have a 600w cooltube and a 300cfm ruck fan. My temps were 75-80f in middle of summer with lights and fan on. 68-70f when off.

Depends how good your aircirculation is and the ambient temperature of your grow room. I'd say 1k could go either way. Make sure you have a fire extinguisher and fire alarm if you decide to go ahead. Just to be safe

I'm currently setting up my hut as well. I have a 430 cfm fan hooked up to a can 66 and a 630 cfm fan cooling the light independently. I'm sure it will be overkill but it'll probably work.

simpleword, where did you put your Can 66, in the Hut? I have one, but deemed it too big for the Hut, and odor isn't a major concern.
The Can 66 just seems too big for the rack set up for a scrubber.

I would think AC would be needed in summer. I plan on using a portable inside the Hut in summer, hooking it up to my fan exhaust. Anyone else done this?

It's different for each set up. Ambient temps during the day play a part, as well as where your grow is. Mine is in my basement which is cooler. I also run lights at night, which is cooler (but I do it to save £££).

Winter is coming up so you can get away with better lights, but it's all totally dependent on each location.

almost got my tent and room ready. I got the exhaust hole cut in the ceiling and ready to go. I suck at home improvement tasks....

Having problems hanging the 4" Vortex, any advice or ideas? The straps just dont seem stable enough. I bought some long bungee and rubber straps to try out.
