Part of the roots carpet will be directly in contact with air, the thin water film will provide oxygen dissolved in the water so basically you will not have ‘blind’ spots. An air pump will be necessary in mid flow for roots falling directly in the water at the end of the tray. Beware of hydrogen peroxide, don’t use it.
NFT is not popular between cannabis growers but I would def give it a try, it could really suit your way to grow. Clean work, fast, no pests, big yeld, is it enough?

Really thanks for the suggestion, I really took it into account but I see one big problem. I only grow 4 plants for each 600w. this mean they have to be big enough to fill the space.

Now, using those pots, I can veg. them in a separate vegging room, saving time.

Using rock wool I can't see how they will create a true carpet unless I let 'em vegetate directly in the final tray for some time…time I can't wait to put 'em in flowering.

I also heard RW will be not sold anymore soon, but hey, it's just a rumor.

About the seeds project I'm actually testing the offspring but I see too many plants with intersexual traits, meaning the male is not good on this side.
Real pity as they already are stinky plants, months of work thrown away...but it's ok. I'll toss everything and start again, don't want to work with unstable strains.

Here 3x Sour Diesel from Medical Seeds and one Amnesia Haze. I'm expecting a very long flowering from SD with giant colas.

To avoid using clay pebbles, or at least reducing its use, I'm trying to put perlite in the equation.
Trying two different mix of clay and perlite and I'll know how they work in a couple of months.
Perlite is way lighter and costs less, it would be a good improvement for me.

A clay layer on the bottom

And then filled with perlite till the top and cover with another layer of clay...

…or filled with perlite/clay mix and then a final layer of clay.

I keep most moms in very small 0,4 liters pots filled with coco and a little of perlite.
I prefer to keep 2 or 3 clones of the same strain in these little pots instead of having one big mom.

Beside the small pots, moms can grow a lot in it and become fully developed vegging plants, than pruned, grow back again, pruned and so on…for years. No problems at all using the same medium without pruning roots, just adding a little coco on the top sometimes.

This is how big they can become, compared to pruned mom.

Don't remember if these two are AmnesiaHaze or Chocolope...they have a similar shape and color...but it should be Chocolope. Sweet smell, not so strong taste and low yielder. Maybe it's the last time growing it.

The black/yellow leaves plant is Amnesia, the next plants, all blacks, are chocolope.

And here a Critical...not so sticky, but with a strong smell and aroma
