I tend to avoid topping my plants these days whenever possible. I find my plants get way more broken branches when topped. They seem to split right at the Y that forms after topping, usuall when the plants are heavy with flower. Add rain and wind to the equation and bad things can happen. That said these lines VermontMan works have incredibly strong branches. I’ve grown PS and GMG the last few years and I can’t remember losing a single branch off them.
You are absolutely correct.
When I get plants that are multi branched and big I put a five foot pole or stake in the center And tie up with a good strong jute just making two or three circles around the plants helps immensely and the little bit of effort is a terrific measure to keep those towering spears from snapping over.
Also effective is just tie branches back to main stem. You can also just reienforce beteween the big Y's with Jute or rope.
I have also tied back together split plants at the trunks and they have healed with great success on what looked like it was a total loss. Cannabis is a very
resilient plant.
Last year a good friend's Grape plant split down the middle, which could have been easily repaired, but she cut it down premature, before she told me, and it certainly could have been repaired.

No doubt guys. Back in my guerilla days I would go through rolls and rolls of electrical tape, taping all the Y’s together and staking the bigger branches. It worked good except one year the cops found a few of my spots. My paranoid thinking had me convinced they were going to lift my prints from the tape and come for me. Thankfully that never happened. But yeah tape and supports are a necessity for big plants

We are lucky we get medicine and food and a lot more

Its a heathy relationship

I can think a few other drugs worse

Its plant way of propagation and its through addiction...and the "high"

Weed does us right...but we should be paying attention to who runs things

We need allies in the plant world Cannabis provides one of the best

Youre right whos running things around here...Them or us!!!

I believe we are working with Cannabis....but we dont understand plants in general

Its hard to say.....Easy to see how other drugs take hold

Good to have insights into Cannabis mechanizm of survival:rasta:

Zacateca Tribute.

I started 4 off on the 28th of April. I got 2 of each. The boy's have been culled:cry: (I have an Original Haze boy in a pot and hope to use that later to make some crosses). The other girl is transplanted into a good friends garden.

Here she is, tucked away behind some shrubs but getting many hour's of direct Southern Spanish Sunshine.
S6000428.JPG

She went into the ground on the 9th of june but after only 4 days was dug up again whilst I removed an ants nest!

The plant has been seriously super cropped and trained low to the ground using strong wire hoops. Once it is a little bushier I will put a net over her and let her grow upwards. Yesterday she had her first food; A weak dose of guano tea and was top dressed with some rotted horse shit, curtesy of Red

She's really starting to grow now and I expect her to get quite big!🤞

Provolo I must say, I am very impressed with what you have done with my work,
OUTSTANDING!
As to your question not to be coy, but it looks like it's split down the middle, looking very much like half and half of both.
That being said, if you line breed this cross you will end up with a great breed of your own.
Thank you so much for posting your progress.

Thank you HG!
That is from a good buddy of mine who was in Austria, Pineapple Punch as per his old handle. He actually received the HA seed from me originally.

Green Mountain Grape lightly seeded . There are purple and green pheno types to this cultivar as far as I can see .

My green plants are far from flowering but the purple is much more mature .

Here's a pic of a whole plant and a male that I have since taken down .

I was able to get a few seed on my Paonia Purple paralyzer from the GMG male

Hello BLackBart!
Great looking grow there, You are correct there is a distinctly two phenos in the Grape line. my purple pheno is also further along than my green pheno plant I am currently running from cuts of last years and my purple last year came in Sept 15 and the green came in Sept 21. After a 10 month cure the Purple is a bit more potent, but the green has a more pronounced Grape fragrance.
Thank you so much for your update and I would love to see more of garden and your progress.

Hello ljager!
We ma be practically neighbors,
Looking great on the Purple Satellite grow, it would be super if you could keep us posted on your progress.
Nice work!
CHEERS!
I will be sure to update.
I’m a state west of you neighbor.

For future reference, is there anything you recommend to encourage branching? I’m planning an leaving them grow natural this year though.

The Male has been moved, I’ll be doing a bit of hand pollenating and making some crosses later.
