How far down would you recommend topping one that size?

that dark purple is gorgeous!
Now is a perfect time to pinch!
Just pinch off the very top inch and all your side branches will become full sized tops, equal to what the lead tip would have been in size.
I would pinch no later than July 7 on The Grape because that could slow up flowering a bit since she flowers very early.
Hope that helps!

She's awfully big to be topped now I would think
Hey BB
Just go back to previous page to my to outdoor Grapes they have been topped a few times.
And below these Grapes were pinched right about the time Unregistered would be now and this pic was taken in Sept 4th last year.

I know its tough but if you pinch that top, you will be rewarded!
Please keep us posted!
I was hoping to make a 12' tall plant lol. I will take your advice and top though. I have a Bangi Haze beside it that is topped so it can join the club.

Hello BB!
Agreed I would not top in flower, but it seems pretty early even for Grape but I did have one finish outdoors last year Sept 1st.
Can you speculate why so early?

Mountain Gold.

MG1: Grape Pez with a mentholated citrus back. Carries as a lime on the exhale. Sugary, sticky Trichomes. Loose elongated flower clusters, tall height and long internodal distance that tightens up after her initial bolt to form spears. 13 week bloom.

MG2: Floral with a mentholated lemon back. Carries as a faint dry lemon on the exhale. Sugary, oily Trichomes. Loose elongated flower clusters, tall height and long internodal distance that tightens up after her initial bolt to form spears. 14 week bloom.

MG3: Old School Pot with a lemon pine cleaner back. Carries as a fuel on the exhale. Sticky, oily Trichomes. Much denser bulbous flower clusters, shorter height and internodal distance with tighter overall structure than her endless stretching sisters. 12 week bloom.

All three sisters are incredible, ‘keeper’ cuts that put on visually noticeable weight in their last few weeks of senesce. A deep, rich terpene profile that coats the senses and carries a few post breaths. MG1 being the most Psychoactive and holding the highest trichome density and terpenoid production.

Right behind the eyes, remains clear (in low-moderate dosages), starts to get psychedelic (in larger dosages), cerebrally stimulating, uplifting, soaring, appetite suppressant, euphoric, impairs sense of time distribution (time flies by without notice), singular focus (easy to become fully immersed with a single task or thought), relieves pains and aches without imposing any narcotic heaviness of the body. No brain fog or crash. Battles fatigue beautifully. Immediate sensory stimulation with a soft, undetectable come down. Does not negatively impact REM (dream) sleep cycle.

Man you guys are killing it!!!
How many days of flower are you both going?
Thank you again in advance. Also please smoke reports?
CHEERS!
VM, my one plant went 81 days. I'm terrible at doing smoke reports as I struggle identifying specific flavors. I can taste the flavors, but labeling is a problem. Having said that… The smell out of the jar is one of sweet tropical fruits. It reminds me a lot of Ace's Panama. The inhale is similar to the jar smell, and leans minty. The exhale is earthy/woodsy which increases as the session approaches the end. The initial inhale taste lasts to the very end. The draw is smooth and easy on the throat, but does make me sneeze! Other strains don’t do that. The high was very up, increasing over time. It does get a little to racy for me if I overdo it. its only been in jars for a few weeks so I’m anxious to give it a try after a longer cure.

@vermontman. I have another GMG up the road at another location, from the same pack. Both started mid March indoors under a 600W MH, 16 on 8 off. It is close to a fence line so it is shaded more than the one in the first picture I posted. It is starting to flower, similar to what @BlackBart is saying. The picture isn't the greatest but you can see the pistils starting to shoot out.

Yes this is the same as mine, maybe I'm a little more further along then yours @Peace
I have a few other GMG that are in veg and not flowering that do not have a purple stem .

The male plant that I have is in a smaller pot but not so small that it would be root bound .
I'll post some pics soon
