So, I find it hard to take good pictures of cannabis. I want to ask vermontman about the difference between my two Mountain Gold plants. They both have received the same nutes and watering. One is more purple on the stalks, and the other is much more green. Perhaps soil under the in ground plants? I will attempt to attach pix and label them for clarity.
So, the _165844 is the greener whole plant. Then, the _17003 is the picture of a bud. The -170024 is the more purple one. The _165950 is the bud picture of the purple one. The purple one has more droopy leaves. They are very close to harvest, I believe... Took some sample buds to look at in the scope. Thanks in advance for any advice/knowledge shared. 44 degrees lat. Both plants were certified female with a test.

Hello @WestShoreBestShore!
Firstly great pictures of your phenomenal grow of the Mountain Gold. Your nutes like they are spot on going by the health of your ladies! The color difference is just the pheno expression, like having two children one with blond hair the other brown, just their genes expressing themselves. My Oaxacan Gold expresses both green and purple and I have been able to stabilize the two lines. but when You cross the my Oaxacan sometimes the recessive genes come forward, but it is perfectly normal.
Great job again there! Please keep us posted on fragrance bud development, and thank you for sharing!

Thank you vermontman for the positive vibes. I thought the pheno difference might be as you described, but glad to hear that from you. The purple influenced one seems to have slightly less dense buds, but we shall see! Hoping that I will see some amber trichomes within the next week or two. I worry about thieves, esp. given all of the time I have put into my little plot. Will be glad to have my girls in a secure drying/curing place. Thanks again for your work and advice. Vermont rules!

Hi VM, do you notice a lot of variation in terpenes/aroma/taste between the purple and gold IBLs? IE: purple stuff tends to be a bit more berry and green more lemon etc?

Here's my Green Mountain Grape 🍇
Sungrown - Organic 42.2°N 75 dof
30 gal containers on wheels. Full sun

There's been a 25% increase in frost the last couple days.
A more silver than purple cast to them that's noticeable when I first look at them in the morning.
They sweigh and lean over with weight.
And are pushing a couple new pistils in desperation. 😉

I could have taken them earlier but I'm a little shy since I was forced to take a "late flowering" sative too early last season.

Truth be told I'm more than a little sad that the season is winding down. 🫤

4 days of cooler evening temperatures high 40's and semi cloudy mornings have primed her. I've gathered my tools.
The plan is to 🪓 her in the morning!

Thanks Vt for all your work on these.
It's been a lovely grow.
