Hi @outsidegrower!
Your picture reminds me of a very early High Times magazine cover pic illustrating Hawaiian grown cannabis. And many of the greatest names of the early cannabis movement are labeled on the cover of this issue.
Ironically it was the only copy of High Times I had ever kept out of many hundreds of additions I accumulated over the years. This one was a very special one to me and I just could not throw this copy out!
At one point during the height of the Marijuana prohibition even having these in your house especially as a grower was considered extremely risky and certainly adding extra to the paranoia and to what would added jail time I already would have as a grower let alone all the forfeiture laws of the time. Then there was the sounds of helicopters flying over our lands. Man I can still feel the pounding beat of the helicopter blades ripping into my heart!!
So some time ago in a very paranoid moment I buried two huge boxes of HT in my back yard.
Thank you for sharing your pic!

Lol, helicopters ... We've had some similar experiences vermontman.

For me about 84-85 is when I quit growing.
One reason was they changed the laws and made it a more serious offense.
5 years/5 grand iirc.

They formed a team called Sweat. Southwest Enforcement and Tactics.
They would rappel from the helicopter while it hovered over your spot.
Chop all your plants and throw down a handful of their business cards like they were Apocalypse Now!
Adrenaline junkies - Cowboy stuff.

@vermontman High Times is exactly where the inspiration for this photo came from. Your PS has a real classic look and feel. Past around a lot of PS clones in my neck of the woods. Everyone's outdoor gardens look and smell amazing!
Ahhhh very cool! I used to hide them like porn from my parents when I was a teenager. HAHA
Awesome we are very much the same here. I have even been having to water the couple big plants in the ground.

I really don't mean to spam your gig, @vermontman :)

Speaking of purple... should I expect PS to go 100% purple? Trichs still >20% clear. When is your guesstimate to chop based on the pic?

BTW, PS and MG are the most mature plants in the stable. The cultivar descriptions are no joke. Growing them will make you a believer. 😀

I went out to the garden this a.m. and yes I concur. PS is looking just about ready.. A wise grower once said, "When you think she's ready to come down wait 1 more week"..

I gave her a generous H2O drench. Going to skip the final nutes... 1 more drench later this week and next weekend she gets the chop..

PS is truly an amazing girl. Thanks for sharing her with the world! 😀

Hey @dilettante!
I love outdoor guerilla style grows it reminds me of my youth when I could carry 100 LB sacks of horse poo slung over my shoulder well into the forest.
Thank you for sharing
I'm happy to remind you of your youth. This grow is powered on just 10 kg of pelleted cow manure. No backing breaking involved. Two of the Bangi Congo/Panama x Purple Satellites are stealing the show at this stage. Did you every have sharp ginger smells on the stem rub? It's new to me on this girls. Delicious, with a hint of lemon and sweetness.
