Is it common for the strain only cut to have purpling fan leave stems and be a magnesium hog? My gg4 cuts are constantly showing magnesium deficiencies and purple fan leave stems. They all have some slight leaf twisting. The other 6 or 7 strains I'm running in the same room do not show any of this

All my OG and GG based stuff needs WAY more magnesium than the other gear in my stable. My Diamond OG cut doesnt get leaf chlorosis between veins but definitely blood purple leaf stem petioles. I have to keep the og strains on a seperate feed tank and drip manifold where I always have to give them an extra shot of magnesium sulfate and fulvic acid/soy hydrolysate to get the mag to them. I use rockwool blocks/slabs & coco coir in pots and calcium is never the problem mineral. Its magnesium. In my veg room and flower rooms. About 0.1 to 0.2 EC (50 to 100 ppm of tds) more magnesium for that tank and the og strains it feeds.

Here's some pics.

Probably not the best under all the lights. I'm just now recovering from constant magnesium deficiency. ..

Looks like mag to me. How much mag you giving them to recover in EC or TDS ? And what source? Mag sulphate or mag nitrate? Bottle or dry salt? Root application or foliar spray?

Jacks hydro and calnit to .66ec/.44ec
Epsom .1-.15 ec (I guess I could go a little heavier)
Fulvic .05ec
Agsil .05ec

I have a universal 300g results for all my strains I don't see any burn on my other strains so I guess I could run the Epsom a little stronger to .2ec

Star. Thanks they're are doing OK but they are certainly not 100%. It's tricky dialing in a single 300g res for 10 strains lol. I'm close but not there 100%

My humidity fluctuations aren't helping the case either!

Tell me about it! Shit has been killin my veg and mom areas lately

Yep. Its why I run 4 40 gallon dtw reservoirs/manifold feed lines for all my different strains. They generally all like the same basic feed ec. But the OG tank definitely needs about 0.2 bump in magnesium. Nitrate for veg. Sulphate in flower. I also play with nitrogen for other strains. I got all of them that like a certain profile grouped together on certain tanks. One tank per 2 lamps. Up to 4 different but like strains in sections. 8 Gavitas. I wish I could just mono crop or 2 at the most but my patients and customers like variety and they arent having that. With one all around great strain I could kill it in the yield department. But no go on that. I still do pretty good running about 4 to 6 cultivars down there.

then don't mess with the rez .... go with a .6ec foliar of epsom .... its more readily available to the leaves & plant in a foliar application anyways .

I just did a .6ec foliar on the gg4 we will see if I can get the mag deficiency cured.

Single res is the only way for me. Just too much issues dealing with multiple res's I'll try to dial in my nuts a little better. I don't mind an Epsom foliar to keep my mag hogs from yellowing.

Next on the agenda is curing this 15 point humidity fluctations. I've gotta dial down this 1700 cfm exhaust fan! Lol

i've got a single rez for my moms , so i know what your dealing with ! each plant wants something a little different , but most are kept happy with a base nute & some calmag . any other defs or needs i can usually deal with with a foliar . whatever it might be .
but yeah 300ppm of epsom usually helps green up the GG4 & her crosses pretty well .

I planned on getting my Dosatrons for xmas. But it has to wait a little while. Iam way over regular nute reservoirs. Way over it.

Thats not tricky..I use 1 trash barrel with pump/sprayer for both veg and flower with like 20 different strains. Get all the same feed veg/bloom.
