that not enough thumbprint for the $800+ in my opinion ,, i get a solid 5 x 5 easy from one single 1000 watt lamp.... even more then that really my room is 12 x 15 x 8 w/ four 1000's it's real bright plants love it

How much do you spend on new bulbs every year?

Yeah they are pricey up front but pay for them selves in savings in 2 years or less.
I was skeptical about em also. Took a lot to get me to try 1 but now my new rooms will run nothing but.

she's legendary UR awesome to have her all this time ...congratulations
You do a fine job yourself and I would kill for some of those cuts you have your hands on.. GG4, Blue Dream, Trainwreck, OGKB2.0, Thin mints etc etc. It's hard to get your hands on quality clone onlys when living on the other side of the world.

Cheers :tiphat:

All of the people I know running CMH are killing it.. Some full rooms full of 315w lights that are producing better GPW vs HPS. Remember CMH is using less power, is more efficient, less cooling needed, Better spectrum..Even if u think the yields are less then HPS ur still getting bigger yields do to all the other factors. You will get the same yields using 3000w of cmh as you would with 4000w or more of hps. But hay im just being dishonest so please keep using HPS lol..

I see there a few different lamp makers, and 3100ºK vs 4200ºK. What lamp are you using? Ballast?

I'll jump in on the lighting discussion. I haven't run CMH, but I have run HPS, LED and Plasma (as well as combinations of the above). For me, nothing compares to Gavita DE HPS. They do put out alot of heat though. I finally have that covered, and the results are amazing. Still can't run it at 100% power in an 8 x 4 tent. Soon I will have a much larger area to work with and proper AC, not a portable unit like I'm using now. Once I am able to turn up the volume, I expect miracles. ;)

From your lips to the Ganja God's ears! That's what I'm counting on Star. Also, they definitely increase resin production. In fact, they rival the plasmas in that regard without the UV burn. I have a few stashed away for the big move. Will start with 4 in the flower room, and then build up to 8 over the course of the next year. Flower room will run a 24 000 btu inverter AC.

I recently ran a cheap iPower 630w CMH DE bulb in my Gavita Pro and really missed the density of HPS @1k+.

Maybe the 945w bulbs give more density?

@Hammerhead Didn't you give the 945w bulbs a go?

I use the grow house. They make great 630’s, I think Hammer does too

There all Growers Choice..All the bulbs used are Growers Choice. I use a mix of 3100-r/4200 bulbs. 1 of the lights is a Epap with a 945w 3100-r. I use it in the center of my room. This is not a LFSWB.. The rest are. Everything else is 630w. I just added 2 more 630-NS. Total wattage is 4095 . Genetics plays a huge role in density. My hk produces flowers hard as a rock. I'm not a fan of flowers that dense. Leads to bud rot if flowered to long.

Veg room is all 315w 4200.. 1575w for veg..

I find most that run 1 or 2 315w CMH lights are disappointed when they compare these to a 1kw HPS. I'm not surprised at this.

I got 8 Gavita 6/750's and they kick ass. I pull down 2 pounds per on the 750 dial. Gets it done. Alot easier hitting weight numbers with double ended. And the quality is top notch. But you better have an air conditioner. Preferably a mini split a.c. Seal the room up. With a sante fe dehumidifier or a Quest. Pump the gas in. Nice!!!

I look at it different than most. I don't run a school and try to keep my electric bill as low as possible. I'm sure it equals out but with prices of bud going down it works for me
