I have both 630w of CMH (2 x315w) and a 600w single-ended HPS. In my experience:

HPS beats CMH for bud size, bud to leaf ratio and yield. Quality/potency is fantastic as long as heat is not an issue.

CMH beats HPS for visible resin, especially on the leaves. Buds are smaller and leafier but with better terps, partly because the room runs cooler and partly due to more blue/UV light. Potency is on par with HPS.

My flower room has 3780w of CMH. it crushed anything I ever got with hps. I don't get any of those issues you get .. Never seen any Calyx to leaf issues even with a 630 in my test tent. I wouldn't have swapped out from hps had I not had better results. HPS wont make these any bigger. CMH is vastly more efficient then HPS. This is just 1. All plants are yielding great.

The new ones and have cost about 500 to build for 4 boards with heat sinks, frame, driver and wire. Kind pricey on the front end but I'll never have to buy bulb so that along with power and cooling savings I'm making money back already.
It was hard for me to wrap my head around it at first but I think I got it now.
Hammer if "YOU" want I will give you the ceo's personal phone number so you can ask questions directly from the designer. He will also cut the price a bit maybe for someone like yourself that can help give positive exposure.

You should try the 630’s! They’re awesome. They blow the 315’s away, night and day difference imo. I have 5 315’s, and and 3 630’s. I’ve never run hps so I can’t comment on those. But I love the cmh’s. I have another spot I might get help from Smokin joe in the future and run his led’s over there.

At GH the price of the ready made HLG550 with the meanwell driver and 4 boards with max 515 Watts is $828 and change after 10% off lighting and shipped to NY. The have an unboxing video there as well.

I run the two 315's in the same 4 x 3ft space so it is like having a 630w, which is just 2 x 315w in one glass jacket. Each 315 covers a 2 x 3ft space in the same box..

I love my 315's and they make fantastic buds. I am just being honest about the comparison with hps regarding overall yield, bud density and size.

An yes if you have the 315’s stacked close then def. now I have 630’s in the same spacing I had the 315’s. Big difference it’s making

Yeah 2 x 315w in a 4 x 3ft box, replacing the 600w HPS I used to have in there. It's just enough light for the space.

that not enough thumbprint for the $800+ in my opinion ,, i get a solid 5 x 5 easy from one single 1000 watt lamp.... even more then that really my room is 12 x 15 x 8 w/ four 1000's it's real bright plants love it

Have to say the ceramic bulbs have improved Hammers flowers over hps. Nothing but dense big buds. I noticed as soon as he changed

All of the people I know running CMH are killing it.. Some full rooms full of 315w lights that are producing better GPW vs HPS. Remember CMH is using less power, is more efficient, less cooling needed, Better spectrum..Even if u think the yields are less then HPS ur still getting bigger yields do to all the other factors. You will get the same yields using 3000w of cmh as you would with 4000w or more of hps. But hay im just being dishonest so please keep using HPS lol..

I find honesty is the best policy myself.

As I mentioned previously, I am using CMH and the HPS has been parked up for the time being. Hopefully the CMH will one day make me some buds like this grown under HPS.
