I'm really happy you are diving into Golden Tiger experience too!
A complex, deep, introspective and overpowering experience that only very experienced smokers can deal with it in high doses....
it's very psychedelic in a way it brings you to a place where everything seems different and your inner being explodes like a volcano.

Some people thought our Malawi and Golden Tiger strain descriptions were exaggerated. I'm glad to hear growers' reports confirming their strength and intensity.

Double Thai is a much more subtle, soft and gentle experience.

Hi rod58,

How many weeks is your GT into flowering ?
It's difficult to judge from here the proper harvest time for your plant but looks like she still needs more time.

Please if you have the chance share some pics of the lower flowers too.

MM.. our 1st grow of GT I was told was a thai leaning plant- we picked at '3' various times, the last was at 148days.. n it could have/should gone longer- some of em go a long/long time

dubi , as best as i can remember , GT is 65-70 days flowering now ..probably the last week there's been lots of leaves yellowing and very few new flowers ... i haven't a good nose to describe the smell , quite sweet and maybe a pineapple scent .. now by the look of her would she be thai leaning pheno ?

Wow Rod thats gotta be one of the best phenos I have seen of GT. Thats going to be a very special plant.

hahaha , so i couldn't hold off any longer , the first one is getting the snip ..now i personally find this quite amazing , i've been growing for almost 40 yrs and this is the very first time with pure sativa's ..i've only ever seen a couple in mates grows and never the final product ..need to get out more aye ? its been an experience for me , no big stonkin buds here ..:biggrin: heres one of the side branches , very weak stems , none have stood upright at all . sorry for the picture quality .very frosty looking and almost felt like sandpaper as i pulled the larger leaves off ..

I have two different pheno of GT, they both start out green during the first few weeks of the bloom but my Pheno #1 turns purple first the stem of the fan leaves and then it moves into the buds, and the temps has nothing to do with it averaging 75-80 degrees, outdoors, their both clear and very uplifting, but I would say that the purple one is a little bit more heavy, has anyone else GT buds turn purple?

Congratulations, you got quite a special pheno! I haven't heard of purple GT before, but I know Malawi has purple phenos. I would love to see some pics :tiphat:

looking good holeshot ! i've been out and chopped another GT,maybe i left it a bit long ? circumstance dictated that i couldn't get to it ..

love that frost !

this one was a bit different from the last , whereas the last one had very weak and spindly stems and really no main bud but nuggets grew out of every node , yeilded well ..the next one was very upright ..

thanks tang , and i bloody wish it was already dried , cobbed and ready to partake of :biggrin: , this thread has been like a really long foreplay ..lol
