I'm really happy you are diving into Golden Tiger experience too!
A complex, deep, introspective and overpowering experience that only very experienced smokers can deal with it in high doses....
it's very psychedelic in a way it brings you to a place where everything seems different and your inner being explodes like a volcano.
Some people thought our Malawi and Golden Tiger strain descriptions were exaggerated. I'm glad to hear growers' reports confirming their strength and intensity.
Double Thai is a much more subtle, soft and gentle experience.
I thought the descriptions were exaggerated too, but I was wrong: a little warning is indeed in order. I'm sure tests will show that GT is not particularly strong in THC, but anyone who thinks that means it's weak will be sorry

incredible weed. mine really was incredible after 6 month cure so make sure everybody kicks a little back to see if they get the same improvement.
Really, 6 months? My product is usually starting to get past it's prime at that point. I'd say 3-4 months is the sweet spot.
Anyway, I stashed some GT away from my greedy hands and will report on the development.

my 2011 gt was different than my 2012 gt. it was the 2011 gt that changed from really good to epic after and only after the 6 mth. cure.
there are so many different Malawi phenos in gt and there are different parential dominance/recessive combos as well.
even with clones I've noticed strong differences in performance based on nutrient strengths, flowering season re sun intensity, length of growing season etc.
all we can do is report back our individual experiences.

Sweet buds Rod. Got mine hanging now.Sometimes when drying buds.!! They will lose some of there smell, until packed or jarred.NOT GT ... Always has a sweet floral ,Pineapple fruity smell . SWEET.!!!!. Hey Rod .You Aussie ??

like you say holeshot , very pineapple scent ..i've heard peanut paste smell but geez .. i really haven't the nose for that .
but what an experience holeshot ! these sativa's are so exciting . i think i'm 32-33 lat .

finally got all my GT dried and put away after a few weeks of overcast days and misty rain ..i've cobbed about 3ozs and that can stay put for several months ..
but had a blast growing these , it was a very unique experience to me , these sativa's , and will certainly go again ..
..this year though they'll go in much earlier , last week of november last year but one of them still yielded 9 oz's ..much happy ! just can't wait though until some has cured enough before i try it ..
waiting on my next order from ace , GT fems and guatemala freebies . thanks ACE !

hey guys just got a golden tiger plant that should be flowering maybe 1 month the guy was not sure about it and i transplanted it to hydro what do u guys think also my first grow of sativa and in hydro...
im affraid there might be height problems and im only hopping it will fatten up and branch out i topped it after transplant.. but anyways all info would be awesome =)

i actually have both bulbs i tyed the main stem on the net and try to fill it out im just wondering how long will the tiger keep stretching if lets say it has 2 months left give or take a day or few? my tent is 120x120x200 cm so there is some room but the picture i have in my mind is these do strech crazy!
It depends on the pheno my malawi pheno was easy to control, but a thai pheno would be a bit lankier. I also used 10.5 on but 11 on is usually enough.
