The early morning before the lights come on report is that the temperature outside is 55F and the plants downstairs are doing reasonably well. My little flashlight and a couple jugs of water was all I needed on this stealth run. Cooler temperatures make the ladies less thirsty. That makes things more better.

I replaced a carburetor on the generator a few days ago. I got it running but not smoothly. I rolled it back into storage for another day. Cool air and blue sky inspired me to get it running right. I pulled the throttle plate from the new carb and replaced it with old throttle plate. Then I put in a new spark plug and a bit of non-ethanol gasoline in the tank for a try. 2 tugs on the rope and it fired up. A little bit of screw turning made it sound healthy again. YAY! With the oil warmed up I changed it out with fresh 30W and I put the noisy thing back in the closet for another time.

The lights back home are still dark for the inlaws. We are all waiting for them to work again.
Happy Friday!

Well it took a few days to get back into our routine of daily life. During those days I did some cleaning and sorting in both rooms.
The foam tiles on the floor made it easy on my knees as I crawled under the table in the flower room with a whisk broom and dustpan.

The top of the table is another story. ;)

The veg room table got a cleaning and clearing as well.

I sent a group of unsexed seedlings into the flower room for a 72 hour stay. They will go back into the veg room on Monday. Then we'll see who is wearing blue and who is wearing pink. Most of the seedlings are Soulmate and most of those have grown tall enough to make me think I have a bunch of boy. Time will tell.

The veg room girls are waiting for their turn. The tall one in the rear is an auto Amnesia Bubba that is several weeks into flower.

I feel like cutting something right at soil level. I am going down the stairs to take a look around. The Felco #2 waiting to do the job, and it is fully loaded. I may have to match its state of mind by burning a Jackberry joint first. Keep left to pass and share.

The group of unsexed plants are back on the veg side after their 72 hour stay in the flower room. 3 males of Soulmate are now upstairs near a sunny window for pollen collection.

I was not able to get a clear picture of the third boy. It has smaller balls.

There are some girls that showed their pistils yesterday. 2 Soulmates and 2 Killer Grape 99s will get topped to root and then planted into 3 gallon pots.

The autoflower is chugging along and smelling a bit piney.

Apple Fritter has not rooted any cuts yet but it really should go into flower soon. I want a backup of it just to be sure.

MamaD has a cold. She is feeling better this morning.

The water heater would not stay lit. Jason the plumber showed up and fixed it.

I have spent some time cracking pecans that MamaD and I collected. The tree in the front has a better return on good nuts than the back tree this year. I munch on the nuts that have not fully developed as my reward for cracking.
Sometimes I get distracted by a pecan shell. There was one piece that caught my eye.

I don't know if the webbing is from a spider or leftovers from eastern tent caterpillars. Back to cracking and the first bucket is almost finished.

Cracked nuts get tossed into a bowl for the next step . . . shelling.

The reward goes into the fridge and freezer.

Then I made a pizza.

Jason fixed the water heater but it was temporary. I bit the bullet and had the plumber replace it. That meant he would be doing the work directly above the flower room. Yes, that made me nervous but all went well and undiscovered. I turned off the lights, fans and dehumidifier before the guys arrived. The outlet for the popoff valve went through an opening in the subfloor. The Gelato buds are peeking at the pipe in the picture below.

They added a length of PVC to the existing outlet which I am going to cut shorter for overhead clearance. I have banged into it a couple times. LOL I will snip it just below the copper lines.

The four Soulmate seedlings are releasing pollen in small amounts. I have been collecting some.

Some give more than others.

The autoflower is getting there.

The Purple Hindu Kush is going to be topped and the cut will be stuck to root.

I made some C99 x Jackberry seeds and this is the first female to flower. So far so good at the end of the fourth week.

I don't remember what is going to be cut tomorrow morning but one of those girls is getting cut. I think it is one of the testers I kept.

Sunday's harvest was a Sunshine Daydream. The tester 1-1 was hanging to dry last week. It is not quite dry yet. Gelato is upcoming and a Killer Queen will follow.

I took a little time yesterday to reinstall some door trim that I had to remove for the refrigerator and water heater replacement. It was a tight fit even with the moldings removed. All I need to do now is find the short piece of door molding. I know it's here somewhere.

A stoner moment.

During the week I took some cuttings of Apple Fritter before I moved her into flower. I also topped the Purple Hindu Kush seedling and stuck it along side the four AF cuts.

I am collecting more pollen from the four Soulmate seedlings. The first packet is in the freezer.

I received some tester beans during the week; Mango Hash Plant x Ultimate Pink Kush and Olf Family Purple x Ultimate Pink Kush. I planted three of each on Friday.

MamaD and I are celebrating 44 years since we eloped before our scheduled church wedding. We did that after her Mom spent a couple weeks changing the wedding plans her daughter wanted. LOL

The Soulmate males are in the trash now. I have two packets of pollen for future use on a couple female seedlings that need to be cloned.
The seedlings pictured below are testers. Three Mango Hash Plant x ultimate Pink Kush and three Old Family Purple x Ultimate Pink Kush.

I took a couple more cuttings from the Purple Hindu Kush to even the top. I potted them in 2" pots and they are under a dome.

Yesterday was a Happy Harvest Day for a Killer Queen. This one grew the densest chunky buds to date.
1732536575502.jpeg

I dusted some Jackberry pollen on a C99 a few months ago. This is what the first female in flower looks like after 6 weeks. I have smelled a grapefruit scent as it develops. Leaves have some toothy margins and buds spiral up the stem..

The turkey and leftovers are all gone now.

I harvested the autoflower and a Hippy Slayer last Sunday and I need to clean them up.
I am looking forward to the harvest this Sunday. The C99 x Jackberry cross is looking and smelling good and funky.

There is a Rosetta 78 that is following.

1734007363864.jpeg

One One is a tester that turned into a keeper. Very spacy and strong confusion buzz with a piney scent. Only down side is its stretch. The leader has grown up between the light bars.

1734007601515.jpeg

The Apple Fritter is in the 5th week of flower putting it directly under the center of the LED. I sniffed a bud or two and there is a fruit scent present. This is its first run.
1734007732495.jpeg

There are some testers in the veg room and they are slowly growing. 3 Mango Hash Plant and 3 Old Family Purple crossed with Ultimate Pink Kush are pictured below.

Thank you, @Yarddog , for the Soulmate. It is looking great now. I have to bring another bag of ProMix because I shifted several 4" pots to 3 gallon pots yesterday.

Great growing @buzzmobile looks like you are keeping busy. Wish I was around to smoke that c99 jackfruit. I would like to do a sativa outside this summer...I was thinking of researching strains that might possibly do well at 42°N. Might have to be an indoor thing for someday. Hope you are well buddy 👍

Thank you, @D. B. Doober , and the plants keep me occupied on a daily basis. You have at least two weeks to make your way south to join me for the first taste of a new flower grown from a seed that I made. Call me for directions when you are south of Atlanta. ;) Once you get down here the 42N strains question won't matter.

An outdoor sativa summer grow in the Sunshine State is still over the horizon. That's on my bucket list.

Stay warm, my friend.
