Man you seem really upset about something, I hope you feel better soon, have you smoked yet today? Im pretty sure nobody here is arguing in favor of industrialized animal proteins so we can definately agree on that.

I'm pointing out...Rusty....that much of the subsidized crops go to animal feed. Those same subsidized crops (mostly corn/soy) are GMO...

I wager...right here in this thread....many are eating industrialized animal proteins...and therefore...supporting the great monsters who they are complaining are poisoning them. Every time you boil an egg that you bought..for cheap...at the super market...or eat bacon..a steak..or a lamb chop...cheese...milk...eat fast food...go to a barbecue..etc etc

you support the problem.

arguments?

I'm pretty high....so...if you can't see the logic to my posts...you aren't high enough. Thanks though...I feel fine as fuck

Roundup is unnecessary for small or large scale agriculture. The farmers that use it are simply uneducated. Giant corporations have great advertising campaigns, and "teach" these "farmers". And yes roundup simplifies farming to the point that I would not consider someone that uses it an "educated" farmer.

My opinion, as well as most other "natural" farmers.

Would I get cool kid points if I said I haven't had any animal protein in 19 years? :)

I don't think the two are a very good comparison, but I do agree neither one of them are necessary for a healthy planet with healthy humans.

It seems you like to go against the grain just to go against the grain.

I have yet to meet someone who says they eat a "plant based diet" that argues for roundup. Takes all kinds I suppose.

Where did I argue for Roundup? Cool Kid points...lol...nice. Now you are the one being funny. I go against the grain...dude...because it's funny to me...to watch you guys bandwagon around your justifications for your beliefs. Beliefs that most of you are getting from stuff you've read on the internet....heard through the grapevine or medias

I can tell..because the same information recirculates and regurgitates...all over social media. Somebody can start a sentence...and I can finish it. That's how saturated the fat is....You Tube...Net Flix....Show Time...all full of Monsanto bashing documentaries. I've seen most of them. Boy am I educated...though the "education" may be a bit one sided.

Gang up...it doesn't change that you guys are parroting something you heard from someone else...who probably has an agenda for telling you....but who may not be credible/credibly educated....or..showing both sides of the coin.

Internet Crusaders amuse me to no end....mostly because they are all puff when it comes down to getting dirty...ie...being proactive

* the "industrialized" world is not fed by small farms. That time is long gone...not coming back...Sorry for being a realist. peacey potty micro dotty

** totally disagree that the farmers are uneducated. that's a pompous attitude to take. not advisable.

Fuck the grain. The grain is lame....a collectivist mentality

Small farms feed russia, costa rica, and many other places. That time has not passed. We need small polyculture farms more than ever.

Roundup resistant weeds are becoming the norm in monocrop rounup ready GMO agriculture. Animals becoming sick and diseased from eating said crops is also the norm. Seems the "advances in science" that were suppose to save us are already failing after just a few decades.

Funny, I haven't seen small polyculture natural farms fail in the same way. They are actually growing in numbers. An education is needed by someone, and it's not me. :)

Continue your rant. It is more than amusing. :)

Ranting? Not exactly...poking you with stick is more the picture...that hot air balloon of a reality.

Define small farms. That is a factor that needs to be known. Is a small farm 50 acres? 10,000 acres? What exactly defines a small farm?

I promise you small ( non industrialized) farms are not what is feeding Russia. You are...again...naive if you believe that. There may be small farms..just like here...but that's not what's feeding the majority of their populace...or any other industrialized nation. Now you sound foolish. Ever see the fields of wheat???? they stretch for miles....not unlike...here.

This isn't just about your perception....or about what you've read.

What do you find amusing?....that you have no problem herding yourself into the smug line at the grocery store?

You forget...you are a consumer. You know nothing else. Damn dude...climb down...now you are sounding like a hippie. Blow me some glass, hypocrite....I'll trade you some beads.

Don't you have a wheel to reinvent? Get back to your Skunk now.....it will require all your time and effort...and by god...I'm waiting. Go on now.

As you have stated the Government subsidizes these "farmers" that use roundup ready crops, correct?

So you are to say that if the Government instead subsidized small natural non-gmo polyculture farms we could not feed the entire planet without using any gmo's, roundup etc.. ?

Or if those techniques were made illegal "farmers" would have to adapt to those "natural" techniques without any subsidies at all?

Cuba is a good example of how farming can work without toxic chemicals and gmo's. They farm like we did just a few years back. Except now we call that "organic" and charge way more for the same product.

All the while saddling the "natural" "organic" farmer with more paperwork and costs than the "chemical" "gmo" farmer will see is his entire life.

I won't think we could ever agree on anything at all ever, but can you agree that the weight of proving what and how it's grown should be on the "chemical" farmer, and not the "natural" farmer?

I can't wait for your response. I expect more deflection, and less actual knowledge. So far you have been very "thought" provoking. :)

I would have to believe most people are naïve or ignorant to the whole thing in general. Sure they may be aware of GMO but don't really know the scope of the expanse. The amount of products that contain GMO components is immense and it's difficult to know if they do or do not contain them because of the labeling laws they muscled through. As mentioned earlier the vast majority of corm and soybeans produced are GMO (Roundup ready) and these and their derivatives get used in all sorts of products.

I was walking through a garden store earlier and could not believe the displays of Roundup product that were set up for home use. And the consumer buys it up...easier to squirt squirt rather than pull the weeds. And that usage is just a drop in the bucket compared to what's used agriculturally.

Orange oil, and vinegar will kill weeds. No need for round up. If it had a fancy package and a huge marketing campaign everyone would buy it. :)

I almost throw up when all of my neighbors are out spraying that shit.

Then there's me out there with my vinegar and orange oil making my yard smell like a citrus douche. :)

To deflect something one must have something to deflect. You can quote me on that.

Let's be polite...and you go back and answer my question 1st...the one you already deflected away from:

Your definition of a small farm?

There are close to 150 million making up the population of Russia....40% supposedly fed via small (to me that means non industrialized) farms. Bullshit. Any fool can see that. Holding Russia up as an example is laughable. It was not long ago..their economy was collapsing. I'm aware you can google the answers that will back anything...depending on who gives the information...but no way do I believe their small farms are either organic or supporting that much of the population. But...you know...if someone says it....must be true. BTW....Russia's history with famines is legendary....kind of tricky using that country as a model for how things should be....based on (what?)...O...history.

You don't believe your government here...but more than willing to believe someone else's? Brilliant logic. Wide open.

Cuba: is that country even the size of California? And you say that "small" farms are feeding them? Bad example....duder. Those people have been hungry for over 50 yrs....what the fuck? They are poor as hell. And again...how do you know about their farming practices? ...read it somewhere...and believed it...because it fit your idea of a Utopia?

Give me something.

Thought so. Another Internet Crusader with no relevant information of his own...

collecting his positive rep from the rest of his same same brood.

If I said "typical"...it'd be an understatement.

I accept that you've conceded...well done. we're done. :thank you:

Per you, I can not believe anything in your posts as it is in the written form.

I must now never read again. :)
