I had a turbo Klone 48 ordered and i canceled it... I love my TK24 but need more space... So I have my old trusty 2 foot by 2 foot Ebb and Flow system that i never use, and i have the clear dome for that tray... So i'm thinking medium sized solo cups of coco and using the tray drain fitting and clear dome top set up DTW style to do some cuttings in....

That should work out just fine RIGHT? Come on $255 for the TK48 at the moment will go a long way buying things my Little Dove needs... FML I dont know... Or should i just reorder the TK48? It's so hard to be practical when it comes to the garden... Damn it...

Ok guys i need some tips tricks and solid methods for rooting in cups of coco...:thank you:

EDIT: Never mind i know how to do it.... have everything on hand so i can be a cheap ass... Dumb ass question because i have done it before..... Oops....

I wouldn't waste the money on a cloner. I use 8 ounce clear cups of coco. 5$ rooting powder from home depot. So freaking easy. The key is to let the cups dry out just slightly between waterings. I make a mix with a pinch of V & B , and a pinch of life plus. I also use canna coco which in my experience doesn't need to be washed. If you use ro water a little bit of cal mag may be needed. I have low ec tap water, so I don't need it. I try to bury a couple nodes. Last time I cut 18 babies 1 died and one took about 3 weeks to root. The rest were fully rooted in 14 days. When I need to cut 150 clones for the big room, I use small medicine cups. The kind that come on the kids liquid medicine. I found them on Amazon for like 8 bucks for 200. Clones are in my opinion a giant waste for money. If you can't get coco to work for you, you have bigger problems. It requires NO DOME, even in a hot dry nasty desert I live in.

You got this Aspenous it's easy peasy. Try a couple as a test if you are unsure. I did and never looked back. Any questions or concerns pm me or I will surely see you post here.

nice Dan ,I sacrifice a row of sites for plastic stakes to label the clones... but I might get some masking tape and label at the bottom like yours

I was dipping cuts in hormones and using peat pucks forever.. Got this puppy and have not looked back....

The only thing that I have to get better with is the transplant into media....

There's a bit of shock for a week or so then they perk right up... I suspect I'll get better with that as I have more experience

I do cuts in promix. Little bathroom cups.
And cheap rooting powder from Walmart.
I think the promix takes a bit longer. But it's dead simple and I get great %.
I stick em.. dome em.. start slowly venting after 24 hrs. Little bit each day till vents open.. dry walls of dome daily.
Then again. I haven't tried a cloner so idk.. I hear it's ez pz.

Yup its tap water... I'll run the machine for a day before I take cuts, then top off the rez if need be...
All I do with it is check water levels, and transplant clones...lol sometimes I think it works too fast for me!

I did put a drop of soluble seaweed into the res one time to see what it would do....

man.. the roots were all tangled and snarled up between the cuts it was nuts.. went to town with some scissors to separate em.....

I've been trimming the long dangly roots to about 2 inches uniformly before I transplant.. seems to cut back on the transplant shock some, but I've still got work to do

do you check the temps at all ? it sounds to me like your cloner is in a damn near perfect spot for the needed environment . some people aren't so lucky . i have to keep mine where the cold air from the AC head is blowing on it to keep the temps in check . i look at the room stat & the cloner stat & they're always the same lol 75 degrees

I haven't checked water temps accept when i put my hand in it... the water feels like comfy pool water..... The real test will be when winter hits....

my first aeroponics experiment I built myself with a 12 gal sterilite container... I plumbed the pump so it was on the outside of the tub, so that the water wouldn't over heat from the pump... I took the cuts in late fall and they sat in stasis for like 2 months... no roots just a healthy cutting... I think the water just wasn't warm enough.... I was also a complete noob as well...

So I think you are right.. the cloner is in a good environment

If it wasn't for my compulsive need to learn more about Cannabis all the time, I'd have already become a master, instead I'm stuck as a perpetual Newb :D

Ohh the stitches are definitely there to bring it all together... its just that some are too loose, some are too tight.. some are just right.... eventually it will look like some ugly Christmas sweater Salvador Dali put together on an acid trip... and I'm completely ok with that
