Alot of that has to do with the clients we had today.... Not the kind of people I like to be around.... they always demand that we take them out and they would just as quick jump into grab ass mode as dive... And there shitty divers... They think a fat bankroll means they can treat people like crap and get away with it.... wasn't to happy about spending a few hours waiting on the boat with those four ass hats... It is a nice Boat though still think it's overkill for our needs but what the hell... We dont pay for it just operate it... We were both in Bitch mode...They got that point as we approached the pass... another boat full of young girls was alongside about 30 yards to port those four dicks were being totally inappropriate trying to get some attention...with our the kids on the boat... M&M looked over at me and i said you guys should sit down and hold on.... they acted like they didn't hear me... i looked over at her and she said ... oh shit I'll go strap the girls in and tell them to hold.....Just outside the pass she sat down next to me and gave me a wink.... I slammed the throttle and all four of them rolled and tumbled 35 feet... From the Bow to the Stern and were pinned there until we got to the first dive sight... they got the point and had much improved attitudes from that point on... we have had the conversation about acting like that with the two of us for the last four years.... Back at the dock they tipped each of us $500 and our assistant 200... I could hear the girls and our Assistant Instructor Casey laughing over the roar of the engines as they tumbled by...Those 7 Marine engines are something else I'll tell ya... Needless to say they WILL NOT BE BOOKING WITH US AGAIN. Seriously what kind of idiot acts that way with kids around?

yeah i can see why you weren't happy that day !!!! :noway:

Aspen, you should try the cups of coco, I tried a practice run when I had problems with the rockwool. It's super easy. I wouldn't waste your hard earned money on a cloner

I wouldn't say its a waste of money..... but maybe there are more important things that money could be spent on...

I only suggested the Clone King cause its a quarter of the price of the turbokloner, and I have personal experience using it...

cups of coco is a hell of a lot more busy work than the aerocloner.... So maybe she is trying to save time too?

Cups of coco are not much work. I fill the tray with weak nutes 1 to 2 times a week, when they start to dry out some. plus I can veg in the cups for a week or to without having to transplant. Saves me a whole round of transplanting. I am sure cloners work to, just to many moving parts for me. Pump fails boom everything is dead in a couple hours. I have gone through some dramatic cloning issues over the years. I started with rapid rooters then rockwool, never had the issues with coco. Last round I cut 18, 1 died after 5 days the rest had lots of roots after 14 days. I like not having to do the dome and spraying everyday. I think the dome hinders root growth by providing the moisture, so the roots Don t reach for the water as much.also, I am not the most graceful person around I would probably fuck up the roots from cloner clones when transplanting.

Aspen, what ever you decide, I am sure you will crush it. It seems that you have a green thumb, and of course a bunch of experienced growers to help .

I will Start again.... for the last time tomorrow.... There will be no more restarts.... Only a continuation from this point forward.... Im smoking on mexican shit weed that's all I can find locally.... FML and it does nothing at all for me... when you have to smoke 4 grams to start to feel slightly lifted.... Put it this way two hits of GG4 will leave you much higher than the 4 grams i just smoked....

from our conversation yesterday about topping young for 4 or 5 main branches , these are the thin mints . they were 2 weeks in beer cups & thats when i do all the topping . so when i put them in the 3 gallons i can let them grow out a bit to see how they'll branch .... & if they'll need more topping during the veg . but i try to be done with any topping or training at least a week before they go into flower so all the stress is over by then .
most plants that i run branch pretty good on their own , so the young topping for 4 to 5 main branches is enough . i might have to top them once more before flower , but that usually it .

these are the thin mints , 2 weeks in cups & 5 days so far in the 3 gallon pots , they have another 3 to 4 weeks before they can go into flower . so about 6 weeks total from fresh rooted clone to flower . 2 weeks in cups & a month in veg .

heres the gorilla berrys i just put into flower about 10 days ago , you can see the whole veg stage of about 27 days . these weren't touched after i put them in the 3 gallon pots .

I've probably missed the discussion somewhere, but you have a different watering system of the pots Dan. Are those rings a store boughten thing or did you rig them up yourself? Why the switch? Clogging out outlet holes in the black squares? I'm always happy to see those kind of grow details pictured so well. It helps me a lot when I'm thinking how to 'refine' what I've done so far.

Ona Dan uses the black holes (square things) on the flowering plants that need more water and nutrients... You can use 1/4 inch tubing and some t's to form a loop and drill holes on the underside to feed mother plants... And veging plants, cheep works and is disposable... Build a simple manifold and get a pump and go to town... To get even output make all lines off the manifold exactly the same lengths and use 1/4 inch valves to fine tune the output.... Hope this helps... Ill show a quick manifold tommorow... Have to glue it up anyway.... And you didn't miss that conversation... It was PM....

i did ditch the halos for now .... i've tried a dozen different things to get them to come clean but after a few months & quite a few runs they're just to clogged for me to use them untill i find something that works to really clean them out like i want . pretty sure theres like a back flow valve or something in them that prevents me from getting a good cleaning by just soaking them . if i had a compressor to blow air through them it might help , but i don't so ...... i made up those rings to get me through for now .

please don't waste your time giving me ideas on what to use on them , because i can pretty much guarentee i have already tried it lol
bleach , CLR , vinager , etc ..... had them soaking in a bucket for over a week one time just stirring them every day when i went down .....
i can get the outsides spot less , but inside is a different story
i've got a couple broken ones , i'm going to pull one apart to see what the valve looks like & see what i can do .... at 5$ a piece i'm not just chuckin them in th trash , but i've got probably 50 of the damn things lol

I'm making some for the Mother Ship... My Hydro Halos cost 7 bucks each.... They did come clean but haven't seen the use yours did... Most of the small holes were clogged till I ran all that Z7 through them... I have enough to run the new setup... Hopefully they don't clog up sense I use the Z7.... If they do ill just use the tubing and toss them.. They shouldn't cost so damn much... But I know i can get a small brush down inside them. I found the small brush at home depot close to the paint sprayers...

When unc has a problem he throws buckets of flaming cash at it and spend hundreds of dollars. Have you tried that yet?

Oh wait your cheap never mind.

Still that's crazy the way they clog up... The way we flush... RO water and all that... Maybe they are made to collect that build up.... Maybe a texture on the inside... Who knows...

I don't know how big the holes in the halo's are but they are probably bigger than drip irrigation emitters which range from1/2 -2 gallons a minute or more.

A guy that sold me a well pump and does irrigation design was telling me he got tired of cleaning clogged emitters and now just runs open ended 1/4 inch tubing for a shorter amount of time. Can turn pressure down if it's a short run of emitters.
Seems to make sense

Yea that works but you will have to move the tubing around to wet the whole pot... Dry spots are the enemy... that's why you make a loop with a t... i like about 6 small holes evenly spaced in my Hoopty Halo's... the drip emitters are more than a tiny hole to drip from they have moving parts inside, basically a round rubber washer that will let out so many gallons per hour....

Lol. Yeah, you know that's not going to happen. If I've learned anything roaming these boards, it's to keep my newb assed suggestions to myself.

I have no suggestions anyway. I remember reading a thread by a somewhat notorious GG4 personality who used oxyclean or some such thing on his hydro tubing based on a recommendation he got on some thread. It appeared to work great initially but then he subsequently lost his crop because it poisoned his plants too. So don't do that? Best I can do.

I use a small paper clip to poke through my halos, then a compressor. Only used one square one for one run I think it was.
