i need to plan a vacaition to FL & go fishing, i use to go to PC beach & fish of the pier , but it wash away in rne of those hericdanes & as far as i know they have not rebuilt it.
an ovecourse we would go out on one of those party boats, nothing like fishing elbo to elbo with 35-45 people lol

Those were always fun.. but I like to spear with my friends, with spearing there is no dead catch.. no hauling them to the surface to see what you have or if it's legal size.... And my freezer stays full of seafood that I take from the gulf... Flounder, Blue Crab, Tuna, Lobster, Mahi Mahi, Grouper, Amberjacks, Hog Fish, Red Snapper, Wahoo........ Little bit of everything..... I go so often I normally eat fresh fish all the time, I keep the freezer stocked for friends neighbors and family.... I love helping people and that fish in my freezer has kept several hungry family's floating in tough times... Lol if I could move weed pound for pound with fish I would be set..... I gave away 300 pounds last year alone....... Of fish that is.....

I remember first time i went spearfishing. Shot a tautog got it to the surface and in the boat i was like what the hell is this? They look much bigger down there.

blue ridge > beach for me. if there were beaches near me that weren't overrun with horny teenagers or angry olds maybe id feel different. its expensive down there, the air and water quality is crap, soil is terrible. food is over priced and bland. no theres not enough coastline in the south east until you get to florida. then all that bullshit gets spread out enough to find some nice pockets.

The beaches are spread out down this way maybe 16 I could drive to..... So it's not hard to find a good spot if you know who to call.... About 4 of them have whole ends that are hard to get to and normally stay empty... But honestly I prefer to be on the water.... Looking at the beach..... I herd somewhere a saying about the Ocean..... "The Sea has no memory to loose your self in"........ That always brings me alot peace...I read that somewhere many many years ago...... This one is my quote.. . " You can pour your heart out to it..... Or pour your heart into it.... And what she gives you back is always her best".....another good quote is an Irish one..." There is no better way to to fall asleep than by the rocking of the Sea"......... I have been through alot... Not much brings me peace..... The two things that do are kinda obvious....

Used to be a saying that there were 3 kinds of drivers in Florida:

Tourists that don't know where they're going

Old Folks that can't remember where they're going

And the rest of us trying to get around the first two.


Unfortunately it's even worse now as there is a fourth category that defies classification by age, race or economic standing:

ASSHOLES THAT WON'T PUT THEIR GATDAMN PHONE AWAY AND PAY ATTENTION TO THEIR DRIVING!!!!!!

Then again it's probably not just a Florida problem

I have fished my entire life and of course grew my first good crop in 78...I have caught 1000lb blue fin in the gulf in the 80s along with many yellow fin..Swordfished the straights from Fowey rock to George's bank..From the bearing sea to south of jamacia..

Gawd!!! I miss those long trips doing what only we salty dogs have the pleasure of being able to do...
Not much I would change..I still can pull a swamp chicken out of the swamp if need be

Yea my favorite times in the Boat is when it's just me, open water,and nothing at all in sight..... That dosent happen very often being such a social person.....
