hey schrews nice setup stop at sc hydro and grab the floramite hit em up with that and no more mites shit is systemic so apply early on and doesnt matter if you miss a couple of spots.

Only 20 bucks for a little vial lasts awhile when mixin up 1 gal batches.

Works way better than anything i have used and is relatively cheap, tried einsteen oil didnt work as well even with multiple apps.

Tight setup mane. Lookin forward to the 12/12, you got a great strain lineup. Do worrkkk

PS Im no lights/ vert grow expert but since you have 4 lights why do you have two right next to each other at the same height? Do you think it would be more effective to space them out and spread those lumens a bit, so that each wall has its own light basically? JW. peace

hey schrews props on your ghetto grow! love the thread name, i have the welfare 2k goin, i was gonna call it ghetto 2k prior to that so im likin it lol.
i love the dual doublestacked lamps you got going, might try something similar on my next run. any issues with heat at all? or the ac takes care of that pretty well im assuming.
those afghan and bubba kush's are looking beautiful, cant wait to see them bud out.

Can't wait to see this canopy fill in! Nice work. :)

I'd consider lowering one of the top bulbs so it fills the gap between the other two that are turned on. This should hit both the top and bottom rows with light from a different angle resulting in better coverage.

my AC is set to 65 degrees always.... temps with lights on are 75-78, lights off 65. 15kbtu is perfect for 4 lights + mag ballasts

I tried that at first, but with the bare bulbs stacked like that, the cords get melted by the bulb above them... being a ghetto-mcguyver, I wrapped the cords in foil to insulate them but then it seemed like the foil was blocking too much light

dont know if that make sense, but anyway I went with the 2x2 stack and it is really REALLY bright in every corner of that room, so i'm not too worried about it.

Are those drippers that i saw? Where does the runoff drip too ?

yep, this is my first drip system, built it myself :)

so far have been hand watering with no runoff because they were only needing water like 2x per week, but now that they are bigger I need to start the drippers.. some of my ladies are 2 feet tall already, it's only day 4!

I am thinking either drip saucers and just let the plants soak up the extra, or do a krunchbubble style drain-back-to-res system using 3" deep trays to catch runoff.

any thoughts?

Oh, I get it. I took a closer look at your pics and can see how that would be a problem. I build vertical sockets using a junction box with eyebolts coming out from each side to hang the bulbs with. This keeps the chains out from the bulb far enough that the wires can be run up them without heat damage.

Drip saucers? well kinda good idea going with the ghetto theme and all. I think you are best to recirculate or drain to waste, using drip clean as suggested by other verticle growers on this site. Why not become master of the drip? Your going to ck and make sure that they all get watered anyway and it is nice to have all your drainage besides the floor or saucers. In my experience saucers are ugly, stay wet, invite pests, etc.

With a drain to waste it is more permanent using the pvc pipe out the wall, plus you have to make a hole in the wall. So maybe do a recirculating drip now and upgrade to a dtw next time?

week 1 is over, they're going into day 9 of 12/12

the girls have stretched 2x since i flipped them, is this normal? i know Krunch said 3-4x, but wow i would have never believed it. my Blue dreams are almost to the ceiling already, and the kushes are bushes!

I am going through a 20lb tank of co2 every 2 days!! either the plants are breathing really hard, or i think maybe my AC is letting it out, but i'm not sure if i should push the vent lever in, or pull it out to close it? it's a sharp AC btw. it is getting expensive having to refill those little co2 tanks so often, like 10 bucks a day

and since the room is on the second story, my 50lb tank is useless, i have to keep switching out the motherfucking 20pounders every other day.. I slept in yesterday and the grow shop was closed, so they got no co2 last night, i just left the door to the room open for fresh air.

pics later.. i lost that fucikng cable again. cheers

hey there.
really nice grow. sucks about your co2. def sounds like your need to seal that room better..
i bet if you posted some pics of where the co2 is leaking we can help you fix it. you say through the ac cracks. but are you sure its not leaving through somewhere else also? jw

anyway good luck there. and cant wait to see the finish product

the room is completely sealed, the only way co2 could escape is if the AC is letting it out... I have the lever pushed in, maybe i will try pulling it out and see if that makes a difference. the Sharp manuals online are not very helpful, also i think i am stupid...

or maybe the girls are really breathing 10lbs of co2 per day

-I was visiting my buddy tonight up in the woods, maybe he will read this (what up sandwich!), anyway i was showing him some threads on here trying to convince him to go vertical for his new room. He is working with a 8x16 space, so im ttrying to put him onto the dual-vertical 3k setup a la Krunchbubble. after seeing my setup he is interested to say the least...

& i found my camera cord but im fuckin going to sleep, pics later ...

day 13

day 13

oh wow i need to get some pictures up. jeez , this has got to be the best new shit i've ever seen for growing ganja indoors, the vertical thing that is.

now I'M a BELIEveR,,, i couldnt leave her..
if i tried.

It seems that this method is better for lanky, spindly strains though.. My Blue Dreams are almost to the ceiling already, and are just starting to show hairs . Now i know how Krunch got so much weight off that Pure Kush. unheard of LOL.

-the Afghan Kushes are not stretching nearly as much, and are not responding as well to the vertical ScrOG.. dats ok, they will be bomb i'm sure.

-the Bubba K's are stretching quite a bit, which makes me think they are not really bubba... only time will tell.

I still haven't got my drip system dialed in yet, i don't think my pump is strong enough to distribute even pressure to all the hoses... I will get a better pump and see if it makes a difference. I've Been hand watering, which actually isn't so bad, only takes about 20 minutes per day...When they get bigger i'm sure that will be harder to do though.

also, I now have 7 plants on the floor, making it a 3-level vert grow

-2 White Widow bushes
-3 Tangerine
-1 Bubba (was getting eclipsed by bigger plants on the top shelf)
-1 Blue Dream (ditto^)

pics later for sure... peace

day 26 of 12/12

day 26 of 12/12

-plants are doing great, starting to throw some huge buds, especially the Blue Dream, and the Tangerines on the floor. i have some Walls o' weed going on yea

-just got some Drip Clean, Big Bud, and Pure Flowers.. will be adding them to my floranova bloom, along with Floralicous+ that i've been using.

spider mites suck, i sprayed last week and they're back, so i shopvac'ed the fuck out of them... can't seem to shake the bastards, but at least there's no webs. over the years i have learned to keep the fuckers in check, but seems to be very hard to eliminate them completely. especially when i am trying to save genetics that have bugs
