Gender dysphoria and the trans movement.

Yep, and the 26 corrupt cops in NOLa who a friend helped the feds put away for too short of a time also included Black officers, who were all poorly trained, underpaid and more, and all of them received inadequate prison sentences for convictions for crimes ranging from murder for hire, to extortion, and much, much more.

And Gary stated unequivocally that power and greed were more root causes than racism in those events.

But that's rarely the case in the types of offenses we're discussing herein. We're talking hate crimes here.

My involvement with similar miscreants goes back over 50 years. On Hitler's b-day in 1989, my soon-to-be-wife and I, among over 1,000 others, marched on Richard Butler's Aryan Nations Church of Jesus Christ. The feds eventually came to own that asshat's compound.

I've been irritated by such scumbags for most of 60 years that I've been conscious of their types. The theft of innocence they perpetrate on our kids, the fear they generate, and more. And see even less reason to tolerate most of them today.

Butler's crew was still burning crosses in the front yards of mixed-race couples in the Spokane area in the 1980s, and an off-shoot of his 'Klan' (The Order) was responsible for using suppressed MAC-10 .45acp's to waste unarmed David Allen Berg in his driveway in Colorado.

I consider ridding the planet of such folks to be a functional part of a good 'Beautify America' program.
New Orleans has some crooked ass cops. Good food though (y)(y)

Americas not out to get trans people. They just want them to understand that they have to stay in their lane, like everyone else does. They dont belong in womens sports. Thats for women and they worked hard to get where they are now. Theres enough trans people that they can have their own competitions in their own leagues. Everybody wins. The bathroom issue is just stupid, because they've always used what bathrooms they want to in the first place and nobody cared, but the trans community are the ones making a big deal of that now too. Suing fitness gyms, suing yoga studios because the women dont want to shower with them. Demanding businesses build trans only bathrooms (expensive). Everyones a victim now. Its pitiful because when i was growing up all these people wanted was acceptance. Now they want preferential treatment. Thats whats pissing everybody off

They'd have bagged 75 corrupt pigs rather than the 26 they got, but the feds had the cops' phones wired and intercepted a call (series of calls) that a woman was going to be killed for filing a complaint against one of the cops, and the feds were worried they'd have egg on their faces if the media found out they had advance notice of the woman's impending demise and didn't act.

Gary told them the woman was going to be dead anyway, they wouldn't prevent the outcome, and to keep the gig going until they maximized their 'harvest.'

The feds took the public-relations/PR-media-sensitive route, the woman died anyway as Gary had said she would, and they took down the 26.

Their retaliation was to bust Gary during Mardi Gras Festival using a SWAT team to pop him for 3 joints in his vest pocket, then they pursued his law license on grounds of moral turpitude.

He ran for DA in NOLa, and part of his platform was drug policy reform. He'd have been a good man for that job, in my opinion.

Ive also heard they plant drugs on tourists during traffic stops. Not a lot of PD's that can pull that off anymore. Maybe its sanctioned by city hall? I wont go there again. Theres much better places to go in LA than new orleans anyway. Areas that haven't been gentrified by a bunch of peter pan hipsters. Jackson Parish comes to mind

The Onion has always been razor-sharp. I had this book, Our Dumb Century, in print long ago.

It's funny because its true: we human beings are, generally speaking, fucking awful and it is vile to pretend otherwise. There are exceptions, but humans are awful is the rule.

Today pro-murder, even pro-genocide messages are mainstream. Hell. Pro-murder, pro-genocide messages part of this very thread. To his credit, GOT_BUD called it out in message #108. You'll notice, if you care to see, that the quoted message has two links, and the second link will take you to explicit calls for genocide. (I'm not complaining, certainly not about mods, who have been cool about this gripe of mine.)

Yes, we are talking about hate. At least the prime movers behind the culture war and legislative assault against the mere existence of trans people, they seem to be motivated by hate. The guys whose gripes are limited to inconvenience in the vicinity of bathrooms and lack of interest in the WNBA, or whatever, are just along for the ride. They're not hateful, they just don't care.

Interesting you should mention Spokane in this context. This gentleman, a man of faith, made some news yesterday. This is "eliminationism."

The guy's not a Christian in the way that the fabled Jesus spoke of Christians. He's a misguided tool flying under the flag of his own self-prescribed forgiveness, blessing himself with license to act out against those who've not necessarily harmed others at all, at least not by virtue of their mere being. He's making his own God's determinations without the compassion or knowledge and unaware of the horrid forms of blasphemy he represents. He wants holiness that he hasn't earned, without doing the sweating and leg work to earn that forgiveness, and in the process, violating his supposed God's commandments.

Sad part is that he's not alone, and he'll find plenty of followers who are at least as misguided, and they'll probably claim religious persecution when someone properly shuts them down somewhat permanently.

There are many people in the Christian faith right now, including those in leadership positions, who are rising up now in re. to the Trumpian haters, and their perversion of that faith's edicts.

Every now and then extremism and even random politics makes for strange bedfellows.

Just bear in mind that the hate, the anger, the acting out and harming others in preemptive bizarre manners, etc., almost always has its roots in fear and hurt. Not necessarily inclusively. They're just too bottled up or ignorant to even begin to address their own roots in such activities and thoughts.

I lived in a Christian commune when I first left home at age 13; the Godspell era, more or less. Folks from all walks who tried to live what they read of their mentor's words, Jesus.

I'm Agnostic myself and have had meaningful experiences in several seemingly incongruent faiths and have my own view of what may or may not be a driving force of energy in the Cosmos, but I won't have a clue until I feed the worms, (probably sooner than not) and maybe not then. Not like I've been a saint in this life either.

I'm familiar with The Onion. Have been for years. But the piece you posted was more sharp than their average parody.

We used to subscribe to a variety of political parody rags, some of which I can't even remember the titles of now.

Yes, as beings go, we, collectively, aren't as shiney and pristine in our karma as we like to think.

The purpose of the subconscious, at least in part, is to help to protect us from self-awareness and environmental awareness that might be overwhelming, and the subconscious, to some degree, when properly functioning, might help to spoon feed us those realities as we're more able.

Unfortunately, we seem to be in another darker phase of humankind's evolution (or de-evolution) where a lack of self-awareness and compassion seems to be the definition of manhood or personhood, as often as not.

I'm coming on to a small piece of acid that was cut from a fairly potent gel tab, so even in just a modestly influenced place, there's lots of room, maybe too much, to contemplate things that simply are.

We, as a species, as a culture, have an amazing ability to do miraculously good things, or to do destructive things, and often times the destructive things committed by humanity often aren't even perpetrated out of malice, as much as they're perpetrated out of ignorance. And fear and hurt are often the driving forces therein, as I said earlier.

Look at 3Berries ignorant bullshit about grooming, when there's no positive correlation between transvestitism, transgendered identities, and homosexuality and 'grooming' as in the case of pedophilia. In fact, the average sex-offender who preys on children is 30-50, straight in most case, and often comes from a fundamentalist (repressive) religious background (Average, meaning that there are exceptions).

Our first baby (our daughter) was born nearly 30 years ago, as we waited to have kids for various reasons. Her labor and birthing were accompaniment to the Louis Armstrong cassette tape on a loop, 'What a Wonderful World,' and the nurses sauntered in and out of the hospital room we were in, in a smaller rural Alaska community, dancing once they hit the room until they left. Her labor lasted 41 hours. That tape cycled many times over the course of nearly 2 days.

That tape was chosen on purpose, because of the duality that we represent as beings. The beautiful and the horrid, and despite our insistence that it ain't us, it's in fact all of us who have these capabilities to be saintly or cruel beyond comprehension. The scene in 'Good Morning Vietnam' when they're burning the village with torches and lighters, and that tune is playing, providing the contrast over the radio program, and the inherent audacity.

Acknowledging the demons that live inside each of us, because if we don't recognize them, and where they come from, and why, instead denying them, then we have little chance of controlling ourselves in those ways in which we most need to control ourselves...

That's as Jungian as I'm going to get, heading into a mild trip that has me sentimental for all kinds of reasons. Find the source of the fear that turns into something uglier, and pet it, talk nice to it. Make it shrink some. "Turn the bison into a field mouse", as someone once told me in re. to another conflict. Fight hard and for real when we need to. Life's short.

skin color of cops makes little or no difference. power corrupts, absolute power (ability to kill) corrupts absolutely. are there exceptions? damn straight. are there ENOUGH of them to make a difference? fuck no...

If they are not grooming the children then why are there trans gender books in schools, why are teachers teaching and trying to convert children into trans gender?

They're not turning them into insects either, but there are also books about bugs.

The entire issue is part of the real world.

Where are these books you speak of in K-6 grade classrooms? At what comprehension level are they?

If you're talking about books with LGBTQ+ characters in them, those characters actually exist in one way or another in real life. Should the stories be sterile and have everyone be heterosexual and confident and mainstream in their gender identity? Make believe?

I truly hope you're capable of clearer thinking and assessments than the question implies.

The grooming paranoia is the latest fad in hate radio bullshit.

Edit: Please show any credible evidence that any teacher anywhere is trying to convert students into transgendered beings. I missed that part when I first read this post, and MAN!! Fear just begins to scratch the surface of defining some folks' lack of understanding or comprehension. Either that, or there's an epidemic of incredibly gullible AND fearful people going about.

It's not drag that's the problem. That is just dirty humor and always has been.

It brainwashing and sexually mutilating children that is the problem. Stops any further childbearing.

You should look at some of the pictures of the surgeries these people are being put though.

Trump said you never see any post op tranny porn.....
