( Quote ) 2 Old bulb in HPS (2 years old)
Change this HPS bulb once a year.
Keep the old hps bulbs marked for emergency replacement if a good light goes out.
Try your grow again with a new hps and I think you will find this was in fact what went wrong with your grow.

SK i feel for you bro! But i know those buds will be very high quality because of the very gentle feeding regimen using Bio-Bizz products and 4 gal pots with soil/coco mixture....i have a few other theories as well that i am debating inside my head right now........at any rate i think this grow is a good example for growers to understand how a few factors can combine synergistically, resulting in a less-than-optimal yield...
send out a smoke report homie!!! i'm sure the smoke is killer, eh?
hi salakalavala...
have u harvest the grams u r tellin with the same pheno?same clones?
can i tell u 2 things?
first....the hole under the pots are true important due to the respiration of soil and drain out the excess water...if the water remain in the bottom of the pot it can let a bad bacteria principle with the acidic and putrescens consequences and the air for the root it goes to fuck up..( particulary in the plants shown lock up of nutrients for acidic)--other important things is the excess of phosporous in the nutrients who is immobile...so if u water and all the water comes down in the pot ,after 15 minutes the soil absorb the water ---but the phosporous remain all in the bottom and the roots goes to lock up of K as the pictures shown..
second..i think that u could have water more frequently if the hole under the pot are in use..and the flowering could be more long
but don't worry SSH is not a very high yielder..as bio bizz have not enough potash..as it pushed as a biological fert when it does'nt..as it is sale as a serious fertilizer when it does'nt..
finally ..i quote guineapig:
"at any rate i think this grow is a good example for growers to understand how a few factors can combine synergistically, resulting in a less-than-optimal yield..."
I decided to scrap the modular scrog setup and went back to bush style growing. This time I'm growing some Chronic, Cinderella99, Sweet Tooth#4 and Silver Haze. The C99 and Chronic were gifted to me by my friends from the IC Fin crew. Silver Haze is the same old clone that you saw scrogged last grow and ST#4 is from seed.
The grow has been going on for a while and the plants are at 21 days flowering now. I won't be boring you with many veg pics this time.
I also set up a little male box for collecting pollen. Currently I got two males in the box doing their thing. This is my first try at crossing different strains and my second time making seeds ever. I've already pollinated some C99 and SH buds with G13 and the hairs have turned brown. Today I also rubbed some G13 pollen on the ST#4 female preflowers. She is about 10 days behind the others so she doesn't have any proper flowers yet. I just wanna see how the preflowers react to pollen.
JLP G13 F2 male on the left and ST#4 on the right.

Silver Haze @ 19 days with nice early resin production
I just dumped Biobizz nutes for the reason that I get better yields with urea-based shops nutes like Neko/Biolan etc. I tell you bro, do the same thing, most of the Biobizz Ive bought recently has been total garbage, I think that they store it wrongly or it is just shit, only the bloom seems to work and I got fucking tired of watching shitty plants, with Neko you cant go wrong, just remember to flush well...or maybe you should try DWC?
My ferts seem to work just fine. Also I'm totally broke so no chance to buy anything at the moment.
I will do one more soil grow after this (grow out some seeds that I'm producing now) and then try some kind of hydro system after that. I need to do some research first before deciding what kind of system I'll try... But Aeroflo looks impressive...
