FJ: Of course I've thought of the stretch but this time I want full screens. My mistake when scrogging has been too short veg time. This time I won't make that mistake again. When the runt is big enough I'll flip 12/12. If the others get too big then so be it. I can always adjust the canopy by putting the modules in a stadium formation or lower them. The pots are not standing on the floor. There is some stuff under them like books etc. so controlling the height won't be a problem.

Day 31


The plants are filling their screens nicely. A few more days of veg to go. Next update will be when I flip the lights. I'll take some photos of individual plants then so you'll get a closer look at them.

I have to say at this point that Silver Haze has been the best strain for scrog out of the 6 strains I've grown in scrog. I haven't broken even one branch while training. They bend so well.

Looking great SK! I'm thinking of building my own little SCROG system, ready to go in january or something. Basically 2 big pot's but each one would have it's own screen just as in you're gorw. Gotta get some good cutting before that. Well i'm seated, keep updating !

The light cycle was cut to 12/12 last night. These plants were vegged for 38 days. Training the girls takes me about 30-60 minutes every other day. Here is a photo taken before todays training session.

The screen is getting kind of crowded here. Soon I will have to start tying the branches above the screen with twist ties instead of bending them under the screen.

Day 8 12/12


There are still some random holes in the canopy but the screens are mostly full now. If this was a normal scrog with all plants under one fixed screen then it would be totally full. Some screens are very crowded at the edges and the branches there could be used to fill the empty holes at the other less dense screens around them. I think growing in this kind of modular scrog system is a lot like playing some kind of puzzle game. You gotta think in advance very carefully where you want the branches so you can spread them evenly. I've had to untie and reposition many branches lately to get a more even canopy. A lot of leaves had to be cut too because they shaded budsites.

I ran out of twist ties and haven't been able to find more because the gardening season is over and stores are putting up x-mas shit on the shelves. That kinda sucks because it is very hard to tie the brances with normal string etc. I'm not really training the plants anymore but the twist ties would be essential in securing the branches in their final positions.

Day 12 - can you say full screen?

They are still growing but I'm pretty much done with training. Now and then I have to tie down some shoot that is growing faster than the others but otherwise the biggest work is done for the time being. Now I can just kick back and watch the sea of shoots turn into a sea of buds. Of course I have to feed the plants and rotate the modules now and then but this is the easy part of the grow.

Im definetly wanna try some soil action @ scrog, and definetly gonna try youre system that each plant has its own little screen, because i dont have much space and never tried scrog before, so i think it would be a good way to start out with that system. Yes, I will enjoy just smoked a bowl..what I have left has been cured over two months now, GREAT stuff...I don't have cuttins anymore but I like to have again....
