G-13 backcross f2 seeds

Heres the four beans that JLP hooked me up with.One germed and then popped right up.The second popped right up but when i tried to help the husk off the whole thing pulled right out of the starter plug.It wasnt anchored in the plug, it was just real long like i let it germ a long time n the tap root was long.I just put it back in the plug watered it and now its starting to root to it, but its bent over now.The other two cracked a day behind the others and are now standing straight up. ***I thought I would post this info for Harry Gypsna and anyone else interested.

I use the paper towel method for germination. After 48 hours the G13 F2s showed no sign of popping, even thought the Deep Chunk they were germinated next to were all showing a taproot. I had read a post here by Capt. Crip saying to use your fingernail to pop open seeds that were having a hard time germing.

I think you used your nail in the same direction as the seed splits.You want to apply pressure across this and it will make the split open up and you can see the baby without ever touching the embryo inside.



I tried this method last night and woke up this morning to 6 of 6 cute little tails popping out from their husk. As JLP mentioned they might need help with removing their shells as they grow, but at least they stand a fighting chance now.

Ive been waiting on them to germ for ages and only just clicked about that post about having to help break the husk. Bravo, lets hope we see tails soon!

These were indeed some fat juicy beans. Hopefully we'll find a sexy playmate or two from this batch to snuggle up next to one of my A 11's and Bubblicious.

Got 3 of 3 to pop within 48 hrs. They do have that funky rumpled look about them, nice and knarley. Also got one mutant/midget, we'll see if she kicks out of it or not. They're pictured with 2 Golden Skush's for comparison, they were all started at the same time.

JLP, was wondering how they handle nutes and what kind of stretch to expect in 12/12. Doing them DWC w/PBP.

Hey JLP I finally got my seeds from my safe house. I got 6 G13 beans, so far 1 sprout 1 dud, 2 more are germing right now, along with 3 of the 9 hazeXg13 seeds I got from ya.

I sure hope I get a few g13 females, the beans are so fat!
