I'm from WV and the original story on G13 I heard was similar to others but contained some "differing" mythology....G13 was the skid (pallet) # and the Government was going to destroy the lot and a few clones were "liberated". This occured during the early 80's and not 30 years ago in the 70's according to my "reliable" source. The liberator apparently had a conscience and pride and didn't want their hard work of 10+ years (this makes claims of G13 in the 70's possible too) to go to the incinerator. If you truly exist dude/dudette thanks for liberating the G-13.

Bomb Ass Weed is a good thing and a decent story is too. Combine them and you get a bunch of stoners talking shit about bomb ass weed Past, Present and Future. Herb likes this too (along with fat seeds). Keep the seeds and stories coming. Thanks again JLP.

i dont know really how much use ill get out of those phoenix seeds unless i begin working on crosses of my own someday
believe im gonna hold out on them till i get an indoor area of my own
but ofcourse that is the plan

Got my beans Saturday and they are huge,im thinkin of usin the husks as cereal bowls lol !Already germed them and 4 out of six popped in 32 hrs.When i looked in the paper towels they looked like bigass tadpoles with huge tails!They got a good home and my digi should be here anyday now,and i will be posting a bunch o pics.Bought it just for the purpose of posting here,i'm feelin left out..Thank you once again.

My two G-13 seedlings are on their second node after only a couple of days of growth. I am guessing I'll flower after a month of veg. Hoping to one nice female, and one nice male to cross to BOG's Lifesaver. I'll take some pics in a couple of weeks to show you guys. Keep it green.

one just would not germ and was being a hard ass. I think it was because it was all white bean. The other 2 came up like champions. Thi is going to be fun. Either way I will get pollen or a nice set of tits.

edit: 1 of the g13 seedlings is the one in the middle with fatter leaves.

i have a friend who has been wanting a full sativa or sativa dominant strain for a year or two, i gave him all of my phoenix1 seeds and he gave me a promise that ill get clones if he finds a mother to my liking

I didn't have any problem getting them to pop. I plant directly in soil, takes about 4 days to germ then sprout. The G-13's I have grew about 5 nodes in 10 days. I am hoping the plants get more vigorous then this as growth continues. I noticed that is also likes to throw out side branches quite early in growth. I'll be letting these suckers veg out until the 31st then flower. I am hoping to cross it to a nice purple Lifesaver . Keep it green.

Well,if I can't get them to germ in a paper towel then my last resort is to just drop them in a glass of water.If they don't sink after 24 hrs they are duds,if they do sink they should sprout tails after a couple days if they are viable.

I started doing this about 5 years ago and it works better for me than the soaking in a towel. Soak in water for 12 hrs, and stirring once in a while till they all have gone to the bottom.
Not saying JLP is wrong, you could soak for 24hrs but usally only takes 12 and they sink to the bottom. Place into soil
about 3/4-1 inch, place in dark warm area till they sprout. Place under light.

I thought I would post this info for Harry Gypsna and anyone else interested.

I use the paper towel method for germination. After 48 hours the G13 F2s showed no sign of popping, even thought the Deep Chunk they were germinated next to were all showing a taproot. I had read a post here by Capt. Crip saying to use your fingernail to pop open seeds that were having a hard time germing.

I use my thumbnail across the split to add pressure.I dont use the fingernail to pry.Just to add pressure directly across the split.
I think you used your nail in the same direction as the seed splits.You want to apply pressure across this and it will make the split open up and you can see the baby without ever touching the embryo inside.

I tried this method last night and woke up this morning to 6 of 6 cute little tails popping out from their husk. As JLP mentioned they might need help with removing their shells as they grow, but at least they stand a fighting chance now.

if anyone else is thinking about sprouting theese beans I would let them "season" or dry out for a week or two first. I think you'll have a lot better germ. rate. Purty sure John Lee ripped them right from the womb and sent them out.... lol btw. thanks again JLP !!!

I've got a couple G-13's at 13 days of growth. I got them from the first lot that JLP did with the G-13. Excellent beans. One of them is on the 7th node, and one smaller one at the 6th node. They are more vigorous then the Lifesavers growing next them. Haven't ferted yet, that will come on their next watering. I have had them on a 24/0 light cycle until today. Now they are on a 20/4 cycle. The bigger G-13 has major branching, they are going to get 21 more days of veg before being flowered. I am hoping for about two or three 2ft - 2.5ft female plants. I'll have pics up real soon . Keep it green.

We have some of the most generous people here at IC. When I first came here I had no good genetics. Now I have over 100 seeds of all great genes. I paid for none. Now that is generosity. When I am in the position to do so I will keep up the tradition and help another newbie out. I have already hooked up a bunch of my local friends. Im trying to increase the amount of my friends that grow. Giving them killer seeds is a good way to start.

I am anxious to see some pics of some of JLP's seeds growing. Keep us updated.
