I don't think that's good advice. 500 plants is not bullshit. Maybe if you are very well versed in MJ legal issues you could go that route but usually public pretenders are simply just that and you'd probably need to be the one to tell your attorney how to handle the case...lol. I got a call into a friend who you and I chatted about awhile back where his case went federal and served some time. He got into the legal aspects hardcore and quite knowledgeable now. He also works with an attorney well versed in some different angles to deal with this who regularly gives seminars. My friend had some serious talks with Oaksterdam U to teach peeps the nuts and bolts of legal things so definitely up to speed. Just another option and hopefully he'll get back to me sooner rather than later.

Again, sorry if my choice of words were bad. I do believe that there are patients that get relief from cannabis, and I am very glad for those people that they have this option.

But after watching 'How weed won the west' for example, I got the impression that of all the mmj users the bigger part is recreational and takes advantage of these laws (including a lot of sketchy 'weed-doctors'). For them it's a niche just like another.

That's what I meant. Please keep in mind that English is not my main language. Some things just come out wrong. But I would never talk bad about sick people on purpose, that would say a lot about me indeed..

I have nothing against the medical marijuana industry in California, but it seems to me that a lot of people take advantage of it. I mean, when I look at these documentaries, I don't see sick people, I just see people who like to smoke and got some piece of paper from some sketchy doctor..

And driving around with pounds of weed to 'patients', to me, it seems more like a profitable business then caregiving.

Am I the only one who thinks that the situation there is kind of funny?

Hell yeah bro you got friends here! Man when my buddy and I got popped I had a few jars full of seeds, like 10,000 beans, he made the year earlier I was just drooling to sort through. Killer cuts gone too. They missed all the hash I had in the freezer though. Got a breeder friend who pleaded with LEO to at least save a cut of his pure African breeder male...lol.

Anyway...I can laugh a bit now but know what you're going through as it was a gut wrenching ride for me for quite awhile but nothing ever happened. Got my fingers crossed it all works out OK for you once again.

The NUMBER 1 charge that you will need to face and worry about will be manufacturing a controlled substance... i have a few aquaintances from the past that were pulled over as you were and had weight plus oil and hash... they ended up with their felony due to the controled substance... and since they have your oil tube they can hit you up for manufacturing which is a heavy charge... as someone else said i wouldnt be too worried about the weight, or a small flower room, high number of plants and controlled substance are you key points... wishing you all the best in your hard times, i know it must be surreal and find yourself a lawyer who gives a shit about the case....

I completely agree w/ Sam re: prop 19. This amendment moves the ball closer to the goal line than any other in american history. As goes California, so goes the nation .... one state at a time. And as soon as enough states legalize, the Fed policy's days will be numbered. It's not a perfect amendment, but so what? Like Russ Belleville says, until it's legal for everyone, it will be safe for no one.

Local police in California are being more and more influenced by their federal counterparts. Marijuana Eradication Training, "compliance checks", etc. They do not give a fuck if you are in State compliance when their department gets publicity and your money for helping out a "federal" bust. You can see it from Humboldt to San Diego.

Never talk about anything but your lawyer and your name when a cops snooping for incriminating evidence. Give them an inch and they'll take it a mile.

edit - versteldo, you dont have to look like a mess to need the medical benefits from cannabis. I can guarantee you that around 80% of the American population would benefit from smoking or ingesting the good herb.
