I had two acquaintances get busted by the Riverside County Sheriff, 1 for transportation, sales, posession (of course), the other had a fully compliant and secure outdoor garden he was growing for a small collective. They were in compliance with the AG guidelines and eventually the charges were dropped and they even had their gear returned by the sheriff. But all this came with the extreme stress the "justice system" caused with dozens of court appearances, legal fees, etc... They both now have multimillion dollar lawsuits against the county now so time will tell.

I don't know what county you are in, but the DA in Riverside is ruthless. He will try to prosecute you, but if you are in fact legal, you should come out good...just be prepared for it to put you through hell. It's a shame that they are still wasting tax dollars and court time for this.

I'd hit up Americans for Safe Access, NORML, etc to get your hands on an experienced lawyer. Bruce Margolin is actually in L.A. but I believe his daughter, Allison Margolin, is in the bay area. There are many other lawyers who will be much more affordable than the Margolins, but I'd go with experience and knowledge of the issues over price.

This new law represents a dramatic change in the prohibitions on the use, distribution, and cultivation of marijuana for persons who are qualified patients or primary caregivers and fits the defense defendant attempted to present at trial. Its specific itemization of the marijuana sales law indicates it contemplates the formation and operation of medicinal marijuana cooperatives that would receive reimbursement for marijuana and the services provided in conjunction with the provision of that marijuana"

If so then they did NOT take your shit to comb for DNA because they should have taken it at the jail per prop 69 which mandates the collection of DNA from anyone arrested (not even convicted) of any felony charge. a guy i know got busted - a county case, then it got kicked up to a fed case because they were after a conspiracy charge, 2 yrs of "investigating" he was about to get some of his stuff back (they take everything) but at the last minute they kept his computer to look for kiddie porn.. once again, they didn't have enough on him so they were grasping. sounds similar but dna testing sounds expensive??
